I have a few things that bugs me that perhaps you can answer.. As this is such an active forum Ill put them all in one thread to keep track of answers. Couldnt find these in searches or on the webpage.

1. Can you change the head of a character? The one i chose (from he Amina heads) has light brown (beige) eyes/lips witch makes the whole character look awful as she has dark skin. This could not be seen during character making.

2. Are there more shiled designs? I have only found like 10 or so with armour crafting, which seems a bit limited. Played on BSK before which had I think about 100, or slightly less.

3. Can you 'undo' a job you have trained for (app. lvl). I chose 'weaponsmith' for a character before I knew how the system worked (I wanna go, Templar, Witchhunter, Preacher). AFAIK the system will now limit my training becasue of the 'cap' at job training.

4. Are some 'hour' and 'turn' spells duration shortened? It seems like 'protectin from evil' for example has a shorter duration on this server, or am I imagining things now....

Cheers / Adam :D

1. Eyes / lips are tattoos, but yes they can be changed - the tattoo colours can be done at Kampo's IIRC, otherwise I believe the ACM can help (failing that, it's DM work ... I've no familiarity with this problem and so can't help you beyond this);

2. You're basically stuck with what you see. There's tonnes of large shield ones I believe, but otherwise the choice is limited. Maybe there's an override (it would still only be the same number of options, though, and others would be stuck with the vanilla);

3. You can ask a DM, and I believe they just take away your job log so you're left with no jobs, but can go out and buy new ones normally;

4. I've no idea. Changes are on the sidebar and I think there's a more up-to-date copy in the Rules & Lore or something, but not sure about that.
Just for the record 1 turn = 1 minute, 1 hour = 2 minutes (unlike the one hour that you'd expect with the way everything else scales in real time)

Try Kampo's tattooist to fix the lips, yeah. Might take a few tries, but I believe it doesn't cost but some gold nowadays.

We don't have any HAKs, so the shield models are limited.

Jobs can be resetted, if you really mess it up. We'd rather not reset it after every try, because you don't lose the XP gained via the old job. It's quite a cheap way to gain XP taking some easy job and then asking it to be resetted, only to start over with a new job and new XP gain. But it's no prob, if you mess it up bad.

there are head mods out there that give the standard bioware heads eye and lip colours. They are really nice.

Thanks for the quick responses...

-Ill switch to large shields instead and see if I find anything I like. Are there any plans for more shields in future that you know of? (both form and heraldry).

-Ill go to the tatoo artist then, is there on in the underdark too?

-Regarding jobs, I havent earned a single xp from them yet so thats no problem..

-A, the one turn = 1 minute/ 1 hour = 2 minutes differs drastically from where I played before then. As it is now theres really no reason to have those protective spells at low level (prot. vs alignement, bless, etc). If you dont cast them at the beginning of an encounter (wasting a few rounds) they have most likely worn off when you find enemies...

Toss these into your overrides folder to replace the NWN sheilds.

But remember everyone else will see the vanilla stuff. So it may look crap with your outfit to them

Just out of curiosity, why is that?

It's a matter of ideology, in the end. Amia started off with the idea, that anyone can just join and start playing without any downloads and fuss, and the community has agreed that it's best to stick to that. It's not an unanimous agreement, though, HAKs have their proponents, too.

People tend to choose/stick to servers that don't require dowloading or other things to play, too.

Well that's already a bit iffy, since you are likely to see 70% of people without heads or portraits if you don't download the head- and portraitpacks.

But that doesn't of course prevent you from playing without downloads.

Most people get the headpack, once they've decided if they'll stay or not. The trick is, that they get to sample the server before downloading anything. It's indeed quite a good way to attract new players, especially those who run older computers. HAKs don't always run too well on those.

Ah, didnt know the difference between HAKs and your head download when it comes to being able to play on server.. To bad its not optional like the heads then...

(BTW, I recommend having only one file to download when it comes to heads & hands...saw the 'new' heads thread). Avoids confusion and frustration of knowing if one is completely updated or not.

I have an (at least) five year old comp and have played very smoothly on BSK (Black Stone Keep) which had the full CEP HAKs afaik.

Not really. On many servers you can't see portraits since they can be player made. Hence why I have a couple of GB of them :P

The new heads will be included with the old pack once they're finished AFAIK.
