Not sure if this is where the topic belongs, but meh.

If I have a copy of a file used in the server override, within' my Local Override folder, such as amia's crafting dialog file, and it contains the exact same convo node's, except possibly one change that add's something but does not change anything to the existing nodes, would it be overridden by the the Server Override?

I ask this because I'd like to continue my attempts in trying to make ACP 4.0 work for Amia as an override.

I have already taken to this. Its really simple, the Alternate Combat animations are special phenotypes. I have made a Phenotype changer that will set you to the combat style you ask it to.

The isssue is to see how much this will lag the server and those that do not download the override will see the those that are using the custom Phenotypes. So far, I have seen that Bioware actually didn't screw up and if the phenotype isn't standard for someone without the override, it will make it normal.

Just to let you know that this has been looked at and figured out. Just needs to be ironed out.

Really? Cool. I was of the opinion that all you'd need to do is copy the node from the ACP craft dialog to a new node on the Amia crafting dialog, extract the ACP (Alternate Combat Animations) 4.0 hak files to override, and you'd be away. Was unaware of any phenotype issues.

Nah. That would be good for an Arena server. It is actually something IC since if everything works how I have planned, you will need to find the right NPC to teach you the combat style.

No reason to mess with our custom crafting system. A big reason for this route was so people that don't download the override, suddenly having a strange option in their craft menu. Finding the NPCs will have it all explained there.

Nothing is set in stone yet or official. This was just a side project that might see its way here someday.

Well I hope it will. Little annoying though that wonderful overrides like this cannot be used because amia customises the one default dialog in the entire game. *Face palm*

Surprised that a UI button for the escape key menu cannot be made that links to another dialog. As I imagine NPC's teaching things based on an optional additions won't be accepted. Most of the other optional downloads don't need in game items to use them, so eh.
