Arghh, shiver me timbers and what!

If you mean accented letters, you use the alt key combinations.

Beating your head against a rock isn't speaking Gal.

The long answer to Ruce's short answer is "Don't bother unless you 110% know the accent you're attempting to inflict upon yourselves and those you roleplay with and are confident in yourself to be able to do it accurately and consistently".

Accents are fun, but hard to keep up. If you can do it and not break from it, more power to you. I have one for my sailor that I word to sound a certain way. I have other characters who have slight accents and two with major accents. I emote that they have a certain accent but don't actually spell it out how it would sound for them. It's just too hard. My sailor is all I need. Though I'm practicing how to spell out an accent for my newest character right now. We'll see if I feel confident enough to use it. >.>

Whats really annoying with accents is when you start talking with one out of character. Like when I played my dwarf Hunus in the "Old Day" of Amia. I began talking like a bloody dwarf at school! "Ye scrawny bloody bastard! Get ye durned arse over 'ere fore I put me foot up it!".

Not a good look.

Pirate's not a language, therefore you don't need to worry about a 'pirate' accent, and as for English ... which one? :D

That aside, I find the easiest way to add in an accent is to *Speaks with a so-and-so accent* and then type normally (I know my faux-dwarf accent isn't consistent at all).

In essence, I'm inclined to agree with Tormak / Ruce.

Yes, I believe that's what he's asking ... how does one do that.

I found a Pirate dialectizer, which rendered the following.

TormakSaber, dialectized wrote:

Egh. Definitely dont bother with that one.

Do research.
