I tested the links (all three of them) right now, and all worked.

People have been saying they're having similar problems with other sites too, Wiki for instance. It could be that someone's deliberately re-directing the page before it's had time to load up, was on the news about, although not sure if that is the case. With me, i just tried using Firefox instead and all the sites that wouldn't work on Explorer did on that.

All three have worked for me, and I use firefox.

Sent a few more in.

Oddly, enough after updating my protraits, I still cant see Arith's.

*sighs* I have saved an old package of portraits on my portrait files and not in the override. I have over 150 portraits from Amia and from another game. Now, I have no clue if I got the portraits from someone else. BUt, my elven monk and my druid use portrait shown by you Dri in the first page. I am really sorry if I got someone's portrait. So, if you own any of these let me know so I can change and if no one show up, can I add my characters name to them, so they will be their face in Amia from now on?

Also, I want to use this one for Delarwyn, does it belong to anyone or did I take it from somewhere else? I just think it is perfect, the moon of Eilistraee and the arrows on the back. The red hair, the pointy ears. Quite her.

And I want to use it as my avatar as well. But, dont want to use people's things.

Fixed a bug with Zetsumei's portrait.

According to Selmak, the space between the name and the file size was making the portrait show as blank on NWN's screen.

You guys can either rename the files yourself, removing the space, or just redownload it.

There's a link in the beginning of the main post with the new renamed file for download.

Guns, if the name is supposed to have a space and it is working for you, do tell, so I can rename it back with the space.

Thanks for keeping these up to date, gives me the will to actually make portraits for my characters!

I am quite glad I can see most people's portraits now. I had that blank square or that shaded thing that shows up when I dont have the portrait. Great Job Dri!

Crap... sorry. That was my mistake. Somehow I put a space and didn't see it. Good thing I'm still working on the character's story and all that so I haven't made her. >.<

Dri, there was a glitch with the image for Black Jake that I barely noticed. I'm going to change it from:

blackjake_jacobdrake_(letter)

to:

blackjake_(letter)

Because the first one, for whatever reason, doesn't work. I'm guessing it's the added underscore. So if you could delete the old file for the next update, I would appreciate it a ton. I'll be sending you the new files to your email right now.

Also, if you could add Zetsumei Boukun's image as a new image to the next update since that one was also bugged, what would be awesome.

I didn't test it on NWN, but now that you mention it... yep, probably because the filename is too big.

Zetsumei's one I already fixed. Drake's I will fix now.

Yeah, it was probably that since when I took the underscore off and just had it be nothing but letter, blackjacobdrake_*, it still didn't work. Weird. Good things to keep in mind for people who make their custom portraits in the future though.

It wern't because of the Underscore, there's an 18 character limit.

EDIT: then again, your edited one is less than 18, so not sure, heh.

Send your portraits so they will be part of the next pack.

Some people send me a single image file without any edits: wrong size, wrong colors, turnd upside-down... wrong everything.

I will crop the file in a way to fit NWN's portrait dimensions that are already described in the first page of this thread.

If the way I cropped the file was not to your liking, just make your own cropping and send to me to enter the next portrait pack.

If you have no idea how to use an image editor to edit your pictures, ask a friend to do it for you.

That being said, July 1st is close. Send your portraits until the end of June if you want it to make it into July 1st's pack, otherwise it will enter only in August.

I am pretty sure I removed those portraits I was requested to remove, but in case your portrait is still around, nudge me and I will remake the packs removing your portrait ASAP.

I even went into character creation screen and hers doesn't show up

Nope. It's there.

You see, there is a tutorial or two somewhere in the first page of this topic telling how to make portraits on NWN.

However, you merely sent me a file with the dimensions 666 x790, which are not fitting to NWN. NWN uses 5 files. The file you sent me is a single one, named Vaeriedara which also is not fitting to NWN.

I had to edit your file so it would work on NWN. And I renamed accordingly.

Now, you need to request on the Request forum to change your character's portrait to the following:

Vaeriedara_h
Vaeriedara_l
Vaeriedara_m
Vaeriedara_s
Vaeriedara_t

And, next time, please, pretty please, check the tutorials. When we exchanged emails I thought you had read the thread and new how to do it, but apparently it was not the case as I had to do all the cropping and redimensioning to make that picture into fitting portrait files.

It's the 1st of August and I almost forgot to make it, but it's done! Check the main post (revamped!) for the links for download.

It seems some people are still downloading without reading what and where to place the portraits to avoid using someone elses, quoting to hopefully make the ones who don't know this more aware.

It isn't anything to do with anyone using my portraits, but I saw a few people using others who have made them their-self.

It wasn't ment to be a complaint or anything, since I don't care all that much if someone used any submited by me, all the ones which I didn't want people using what-so-ever I didn't add anyhow.

Just thought others would appreciate it if people took notice to the message at the start of the thread since they don't have the right to ask the other person to change the portrait after creating their character.

What Tormak said. I've seen both Kalliniel's and Kir'nack's portrait used by others, and I think it's cool that others found them thanks to me, more than anything. (Kir was turned into a portrait by KD, btw, whoever is using him! Just, FYI.) It's pretty silly to publish your portrait if you don't want folks using it.

i think dri credits the author when she places the watermark on the portraits. But you are right about that tormy if you don't want people to use it then don't place it in the folder. I generally do not care since all my portraits were found on the NWVault, so others could get a hold of them just as easily as I did.

I do, indeed. Even now that the portraits were made for me by my friend, I still give credit and put a text on the _h picture asking people not to use it without permission.

I hate it when people do that. Do it to your own, original work. Do it to something you've modified whilst referencing the original artist. Do not do it to some portrait you just downloaded off the web and feel selfishly like keeping to yourself.

I edited an Original NWN portrait for one of my characters, how do i put it into a RAR/ZIP File?

Right click the background of the folder the portraits you made are in, or the Desktop even, on the drop down menu you go to new, then click WinRAR archive, name it preferably to the name of the character that the portrait is for, then drag the portraits into that folder.

Will be ready to attach and send, then. Also, WinRAR takes up less space than WinZIP.
