Where the massive obsidian image of Vhaeraun, the Masked Lord, once stood looming over his stealthy worshippers, there is now a square space of dust and broken bolts. Apparently someone decided that Underport was the wrong spot for the idol to be at this point. To just think of such an effort would perhaps make even the strongest warrior ache all over, for it must have been a trying task.

The guards of Underport have little to tell of the incident, and neither do they seem to care.

A small Hin drifts into the room as customary and freezes as he begins to kneel down in front of ... a square?

The Hin inhales deeply and looks around, instantly drawing his blades and sipping from a few potions. Too many things flooded his mind as he scanned the room intently.

He knew that if it was a trap he would already have been attacked but his anger and confusion had him continue to prepare for the coming strike.

As a few moments pass and he is happy with his relative safety, he sets around searching the room.

After he downs a couple gulps of rogue's cunning and dons a few relevant trinkets, he begins searching the room for clues.

His upper lip is curled in a grimace of anger and his eyes narrow as his anger rises as he finds the bolts. He itches the back of his neck and turns the broken pieces in his hands, thinking. He couldn't believe this could happen. He drops the bolt and turns towards the door to hear its rough clank as it bounces on the stone.

He sits on the floor for a moment to gather his thoughts. After offering a quick prayer to Vhaeraun he composes himself. He tightens his clothes, cleans the dirt off of his knees, and fixes his pony tail and moustache. He picks up and shakes out his cloak, only to throw it over his back and pull it tight against him. Dropping the hood over his now sad looking face, he strikes out. As he passes a smirking drow guard, his forlorness turns to determination and he quietly makes his way towards the boats. Persumably to speak to his contacts in Cordor...considering the Underport too hot to be asking around at this point.


//I have an epic search so if there is anything else to find, like a clue or something, perhaps I have a shot at finding it. Don't know my exact score off the top of my head but if it is relevant I can figure it out.

The following note can be seen resting above the altar. It was not magically produced. More likely the one who put it there, made so stealthily. If the note ever disappears, it is replaced with the same stealthy action, though not necessarily immediately after. It might take a few hours, or a day. It's not easy to predict a time. It simply reappears, one way or the other.

The hin uses his daggers to trace a circle in the table that came with his cheap room. The raucous noise below in the Inn's Common Room is only muffled by the rusty hinged door that only barely locked using the key the shady inn keeper slipped him.

He sighs and continues to trace the circle with his small dagger. His soft whispers and mumbled sentences did little to turn up information. Seeking a Mage in Underport is like seeking cattle in the Cordorian outskirts. He begins to spiral into the center of the circle slowly with his dagger. The hin grabs his chin and looks up in thought. There must have been something he missed. His most recent visit turned up a name but the matter isn't settled.

The prayer could be there to give strength or to say the statue was moved on purpose. As the dagger tip reached the center of the circle it stops suddenly and the hin levels his gaze. He drops the dagger onto the table and bends to his right to get out some parchment and a ruddy pen.

" Dear Dusk Lord..."

A quick letter is penned but the hin chuckles quickly at his own haste. He has no way to deliver it. He begins his search again, now with a more specific goal. Finding this...Dusk Lord.

*A lone shadowy figure reads the note and searches the temple for any clues, seeing the bolts, the figure can be seen searching for further clues, in particular dusty footprints. Not long after, the shadowy figure leaves the temple.*

It might seem that the new resting place of the sacred statue was somewhat unfortunate... Any worshipper of Vhaeraun finds the spot messed up violently and the idol itself seems to be missing. On the ground around the remaining toppled obelisks that were adorning the site, there are small puddles of blood from what seems to be a recent fight.

No matter how hard the perpetrators tried to hide their tracks, it is obvious for any tracker, that whoever it was headed south with it, transporting it in some way. It is hard to find anything more, because the surrounding area is frequently travelled by bandits and adventurers.
