Is there any way to copy one's character's journal without manually retyping? Only whenever there's a name change all custom entries are wiped, and it takes forever to retype.

the Journal Entries themselves are saved (quests done) the additional info from the journal that you write in it yourself is never saved in that instance.

Your journal is saved in a *.txt file with the same name as your PC's *.bic file in either the servervault or localvault directory. You can edit it with a standard text editor.
