ya as the topic says i need help finding the freaking portraits i just downloaded.... i cant seem to access them in the character creation, portrait selection thingy....

when you downloaded them did you choose to save or open the file?

If you chose to save it, then attempt to download it again and it should show you the current location of where it is saved without actually having to download and overwrite it. Then select cancel and go to the location you saved it, double click on the file to unzip etc...

If you chose to open it the files should be in .tga format. You can run a search on your computer for files named *.tga That will locate all the .tga files on your computer and should give you the folder in which they are located.

yay the search finally finished.... didnt know i had so much random crap on my comp... anyway... now that i found them... where do i put them in order to use them?? cause apparently the override folder that housed the amian heads pack isnt where they should be....

portraits folder in the nwn directory.

if you don't have one, create one.

ok so i made the folder Portraits... and just stick the portraits in there and they will work??

i know im asking idiot noob questions... but its rare that i download much... and my AI usually takes care of the stuff for me... but unfortunately my AI is offline right now... maintenance..... so im forced to do it by hand

basically explain it as if you were telling your grandparent how to.... without the need to repeat yourself half a million times...

basically... i opened everything and extracted it all to the folder.... be that right?? if not... i prolly screwed up my comp... and am prolly gonna be the laughing-stock of amia for royally screwing up lol

Yes it sounds as if you did it correctly.
Folder: c:\Neverwinternights\NWN\Portraits\
Should now contain a plethora of .tga files
Once there, restart NWN completely and you should be able to see those portraits during character creation and during play. If not...let us know. Sorry I wasn't here to help earlier, had to run many errands.
