Across the great skies of Amia and those of her surrounding isles - even those so far as Forrstakkr - a magestic, though imposing, sight can be seen.
Flying overhead, massive birds that could easily dwarf a small home make passes over the isles and surrounding regions, both during the night and during the day. Their forms occasionally block the light of the sun over an area for a brief flicker, before gliding on.

*Saris watches the skies and grimaces*
Filthy birds... the skies belong to the Dragons and thier kin.. At least they'd make decent meals.

*Cerri's eyes drifted slowly towards her browline, her head catching up moments after.*
"Cooo..."
*She followed the path of the giant creature till it's shadow cloaked much of her surroundings, which was a dern shame considering the large root sticking out of the ground below her was ripe for tripping over.*
"Bugger me if that ain't the biggest wingspaAAHH!"...*splat*

Arro stares up as they pass over the Amian forest, with big eyes. He could be seen shouting "WANT!" and then trying to throw out dominate spells at them, only to have them die before reaching up, from the limited range.

*Weston glances around the immediate area for a while a bit perplexed until he looks up to the sky wondering what cloud just made such a strange shadow, and near Djedet too.* [[If I understand the geography >.<]]
"... Whoh... "
*He watches until the large forms stop blocking the sunlight and he is blinded from being able to look skywards.*

Jack and Metalien during their spare time like to hold their female Salandran counterparts (including Weston when he's around!) above their heads in offering to the birds as a practical joke.
Ofcourse the "offered" people don't find it funny at all... but the two get a damn good laugh out of it.

*There is easily more than one instance when Weston is the unfortunate pick of sacrifice, which involves a lot of helpless squirming. At least after a few times he eases off with the frowns from being handled unexpectedly and learns to laugh -a little- at the joke.*
"Yeah, sacrifice me to rid Brother Jack of his grumpyness... I'll be a martyr then."

Nevaeh may often been seen on a rooftop in West Cordor, watching the large birds during her time off, usually in the company of some sort of delicious smelling snack, or meal. It seems the Corporal is enjoying the presence of the strange birds, or is passively curious, but either way she makes a point of watching them when she can.

Bella can be see on occasion glancing up to the sky, Sasha beside her quirking her head. SHe watches them swoop through the air then looks own to where her left hand is still missing.
She frowns for a bit and then shrugs it off knowing that there is not a lot she can do without her bow. She wraps her hand about her throwing axes instead and smiles grimly before disappearing back into the forests.

Standing by his skylight window, watching the stretching patchwork of Cordorian rooftops fade into the morning mist, Al'Tustra catches a rare glimpse of the soaring birds now and then. But like a gargoyle perched on some cathedral or a statue silently standing vigil over some desolate town square, he remains utterly stoic towards the gliding birds. "They may fly and nest where they like," he thinks to himself as he stirs his cup of tea. Sipping lightly, he proceeds to watch the skies in austere silence.
Resting the warm cup in his large hand, there's an ever so faint smile chiseled onto the corner of his mouth.

*Malandria watches the huge animals with concern. She knows they are not common in this region and also that these birds usually are solitary and not found in such large swarms. The archdruidess will watch and study their behaviour closely, also reading up some more informations about them*
oO(Maybe I should try to get in contact with one too)Oo
*Knowing this won't be easy... they fly high and are fast.. she considers some ways to maybe accomplish this*

On his way back from Bryce's funeral, Eir spots these giant birds in the sky and begins to move faster. Instead of heading home to the mansion, however, he hurries out towards the Shrine, to check up on Yas'da and Amaith before doing anythng else.

//LMFAO!!
Metalien is seen spending a lot of time on one of the quiet benches around the Temple Complex, peering through a telescope at the birds as they fly over, often he is heard saying to his friends: "I wish my son was here to see this, he'd be in his element"

Kalliniel stands on a barren cliff somewhere in the Skull Crags, his keen grey eyes watching the birds from the high vantage point. He cares little for the howling wind tugging at his cloak or occasional the clouds of ice flakes blown from the glacier a little above him, so transfixed is he on the movements of the majestetic animals.
"I see it now, Andaefar," the bladesinger whispers to himself in a trembling voice. Tears run down his ivory cheeks. "Veluthe Selu'Vel Gyrlaszthraen."
For a day and a night he stands on the lonely spot, without food, water or rest. His gaze sweeps the skies constantly to catch even a glimpse of the birds as they pass. The first rays of dawn finally break the spell, and Kalliniel draws Dance, the bladesinger's elven thinblade, his most valued possession. He begins to dance, so slowly and softly that it can barely be recognized as such, and with the serenity of a priestly meditative practice. Mimicing the graceful glide of the giant birds, Kalliniel dances up and down the mountainside for hours. As dusk settles over Amia, he finally makes his way down to the Crouching Lemur monastery and collapses on the grass in exhaustion.

Willow and Din Dae II watch the birds fly by over and over through out the days. Willow studies their head and possible eye movements, trying to figure out why they're here. She thinks to her self:
Somehow, I need to try and talk to one of them...

Ssap'afae with her daughter on one of their walks to explore and teaching the skills of listening. She looks up the sky to the sudden shadow. Eyes go with amazement. ''Edonil, we need to head to the Treetops then the libarary''. Curious as Edonil is she asks, ''Why Mommy?''. Ssap'afae looks down with a smile knowing her daughter is blind, can only heard. ''Heard that flapping of bird wings?'' Edonil nods. ''Its a giant feathered bird. I need to find out if it has deer antlers. If so, there is going to be much danger upon the islands.'' Edonil ''Giant birds with dear horns? Sounds silly Mommy.'' as she giggles. Ssap with a simple smile ''Silly, but those kind of birds can eat whole horses and cows. If I am right they are called Roc. Now hop up on my back. I hope I am wrong, the study of creatures are favored subject little one''. Edonil climbs up on her Mommy back as they take off quickly.
Arriving via portal, jog to watch through the scope for another glimpse of the giant birds to identify them better. Edonil sits by the cook swinging her legs on a chair eating her lunch and singing her songs.

*Amand lounges in a lovely little bed of moss that he enjoys visiting for moments of quiet seclusion under the shadowy boughs and leaves of Winya Ravana, a delicate crystal glass resting in his hand filled his usual elverquisst, a dark leather-bound tome, slightly crumbling at the edges on his lap. He takes a small sip of the potent liquor and sputters, choking on the delicious liquid as a giant shadow passes over the rustling trees. "What in Nine Hells?" *he breathes as another shady figure glides by* "Was that a bird?" * He quickly drains his glass and sets it aside with the slightly-crumbling book, standing to get a better look at the passing colossal* "Rocs maybe?" *he chuckles wrly, shaking his head* " Just what this isle needs: more massive monsters!" * he refills the goblet with elverquisst from a beautifully crafted crystal decanter and returns to his reading, pondering the significance of the arrival of these giant birds*

Nayu ascends to their altitude to fly among them. She does keep a bit of a safety distance though as to not crowd or provoke the birds. Once there, her eyes wander over the majestic beings and she thoroughly enjoys to just soar the skies among them.
From time to time she would attempt to communicate with these beings, but she would do so with the natural respect and consideration that is found in the relationship of her people and non evil avians.

*having been raised on Amia, though having frequent visits to various mountain and forest regions on the mainland, Krystelle looks up at the flocking birds in wonder for a few moments and says quietly to herself* I wonder what would cause so many rocs to migrate...nothing good I can imagine...father would know more...*she then follows the group she was hunting with into a nearby cave*

''Wish one of them would land, flying on one of these must be an awesome feeling...'' Valas thought. After learning about the birds nature and origin from Malandria, he glanced up once more and couldn't help wondering why they are here, more so in these numbers.
''They better not cause trouble, I'd much prefer befriending them.''

The large creatures, rocs, continue to fly overhead despite the passage of time; only occasionally diving for food thieved from the ocean's depths.
However, their focus seems to shift to Forrstakrr and Cordor's main coasts; their encircling movements perpetually seen within the skies.

Ssap'afae along with her daughter on her back making it to the coastline, after killing off some bandits, looks out over the sea. ''At least they are mostly eating sea creatures, but for how long is the next question. Migration for breeding.'' as she mostly talks out loud so her daughter can learn and understand the oddity of the thoughts.
Edonil sliding down to hold her Mothers hand, look up to sound of beating wings. ''Mommy, you really worried?'' Ssap looks down to her. ''Yes, they can unbalance the nature here or worse case they be hunted down by those of greed.'' Ssap smiles at a thought. ''I know, how about Mommy goes to find their nest can bring back a giant feather for you? While you and Daddy go on a mini venture.'' Edonil eyes widen looking up to her Mother voice in excitement. ''A giant feather Mommy! I would like that very much! Maybe Crunch let me put in the Temple for showing!'' Ssap smiles ''I am sure he would like that very much'' Watching the few fly back toward Forrstakrr "Okay lets get you back to the campsite. Daddy is packing and ready to take you on a journey''. Edonil climbs on as they head back.
------
Days, past as Ssap'afae hunts the high mountains in search of signs of nesting, loose feathers that might be pruned off. Using all her ranger skills in tracking and shadows steps to keep hidden from danger of predators.
