Party leech: A party member incapable of beneficially contributing to the party effort. Many SDs and monks get this label because they spend a lot of time in HIPS, which leaves them in safety and causes the flak to be directed at the softer squishier members of the party. Monks are great at "not dying" but they're also usually not doing too much to kill the enemy either. compare/contrast to a buffing spellcaster of a stomping fighter.

Here's three great definitions on Pridegaming, Carebear and Powergaming:
Powergaming - Person plays for power, without consideration of RP. Given the two options (Rping or any form of 'power', be that grinding, exploiting for better equipment, etc) they will choose 'power.'
Pridegaming - Person plays for pride, without consideration of RP. Given the two options (Rping or any form of 'pride', be that not having their character lose, not taking IC consequences despite RP, etc) they will choose 'pride.'

Either Party Leach or Level Aid might also be known as a Cheer Leader to me, which is an alternatively neutral to affectionate term for a character who is largely incapable of meaningful contribution in a monster-bashing party, and (besides it being the only way they can level) is generally along for the ride due to RP reasons, to raise exp gain and possibly provide some sort of buff, entertainment, or loot-carrying service. Or, just to cheer the actual working chaps along.

Party Carrion Raven: A Raven-themed Air Genasi Party Leech which does not only suck, but takes pride in their level of sucking (i.e. frequent boasting about their low con score), and, in acting like a raven, is overly attracted to "shiny" loot.
Its existance is only justified and tolerated by the frequencey of puns it manages to dish out, while the rest of the party dishes out damage.

Its a good description, but I grew up with another definition
Carebear: A roleplayer who is very modern in his acceptance and understanding of others, displaying little to no prejudice at all, is usually quite happy ICly, and has a noted hatred for anyone expressing race-based RP such as elves vs orcs, dwarves vs elves, paladins vs halflings(anyone who gets this last one, hello, I'm from Haze too!). Seems to be the standard character in Amia. Very "enlightened"
Pom Poms: Hypothetically existing mental imagery conjured up by cheerleaders as they follow the melee and useful-buffers around. Occasionally takes the form of meaningless roleplay, healing or otherwise space-filling material for the long grind to 30
The four roles of a party member. To some extent every Cannon is a Tank and vice versa. A Buffer can make a Tank more cannony and a Cannon more tanky, and a Debuffer can make the Cannon's lack of tankery irrelevant.
In the end, the point of a party as a whole is to keep the Cannons alive.
When you're in a party that understands this, and selflessly focusses on that goal, then it is purest pwnage.
The more tanky a Cannon is, the easier the goal is, but since Amia's mobs are not very hard there's definitely such as thing as Tank overkill. There's no such thing as too much damage per round. This is essentially why Stillborn exists. He's pure Cannon by build, so while he dies annoyingly easily alone, there is no better chap to have in your party if you can supply enough Buff/Debuff/Tank-ing for him.
Tanking: the act of drawing the attention of the enemy without dying. There is a knack to positioning yourself in chokepoints so you can provide 100% protection to the more vulnerable party members. One of the most important parts of it is making sure everyone knows you are the Tank, and to wait a moment while you draw the aggro.
Cannon: doing lots of damage. The skills you need are knowing what things to kill first, and if you have Sneak Attacks, how to get them. Attention Shadowprancers: HiPS is the worst way of getting Sneak Attacks in party. Your stupid broken PvP-griefing crutch is absolute arse here, so put it away. No-one's impressed.
Buffing: For the love of everything experiencely pointed and goldenly pieced: cast things on your party. There is nothing more frustrating than finding a pureclassed buffer after a long time grinding alone, only to find he'd rather shoot two Fireballs than give you GMW/Keen.
Debuffing/Disabling: The most underused part of the game. Mages and Bards pretty much rule the roost here, but Druids and Clerics have a couple of tricks too. These do very little damage, but make it much easier for the Cannons to do their thing. That conflicts with the very common psychological need to be centre stage(see above re:Stillborn), so you don't see it much; most mages would rather drop a Maxed Ice Storm then a Sunburst in the Spire, even though the latter will allow your Cannons to stompada with impunity. You'll get your chance to become the Cannon when it's boss/PvP time.
Anyway, onto the more comedy stereotypes:
Messy Little Brother
A heavily multiclassed buffer in the presence of a pure class, he will bravely but hopelessly try to compete in the level-dependent fields of Bardsong, GMW and Flameweapon etc, usually screwing up everyone's kit in the process.
Square Peg
A player either unwilling or unable to realise what his or her character's role in a party is, who instead tries to fulfill one they are complete crap at. Most common offenders are mages who believe themselves to be melee Cannons.
XP Puppy - The person five levels lower than the rest of the party, there for the purpose of extra xp
This might be true, but, did you know that the others benefit from it too? Their XP goes up. Well, it used to...that may have changed, I think its averaged now?

XP Nanny: The person who deliberately hunts for people 4-5 levels below his, and tries to get them to party. Also term for all the PCs in the party who are more than happy to have said XP Puppy along, and provide invisibility or rezz to ensure he stays alive and happy.
Puppy Hater: Group or individual who don't really care much for people who cannot pull their weight in a party, the opposite of Xp Nannies, they dislike Xp Puppies, often stealing loot or completely disregarding them while running from spawn to spawn. Discovered usually when there is no dedicated loot rotation, and the XP Puppy ends up XP happy, GP sad.

This is still me after years of playing. Namely because I hold onto EVERYTHING in the event it can be used for rp purposes. Thusly Halen has not been able to run in a whole irl year.

The one running around collecting all loot, claiming it's his since he is an evil character and evil characters steal from other party members - beside, whe can't see it anyway since he has a hide and move silently so high so high so we can't see him taking the loot so why should we bother? Usually it's a drow running around with surface players and not acting as a drow in any other way than being a thief. And when cornered, just use HIPS and disappear screaming and yelling how unfair the rest of the party is.

Aggressive Roleplayer- I've heard this as someone who plays multiple PC's, all of whom exist to see how much they can tick you off.
Hardcore PVPer- Where I originally came from, this meant warring walls of text battle as opposed to actual game mechanic battle. It was done with di rolls and descriptive fighting. Now I'm not so sure what it means.
Faction Wh@re- Not sure what this one is either. I've heard anything from someone who's dated all the faction members Icly, to someone who makes a character for every existing faction because they can't stand being locked out of anything.

Hardcore PvP is my preferred method of pvp in plot based pvp. Otherwise normal pvp is superior as normally it takes place during Hunts and both parties want it over with relatively quickly

Time/Money Sink: Any action which requires the expenditure of one or both of the aforementioned things which results in no tangible reward.
Level Grinding: The art of creating a routine based around fighting a series of mobs at a minor challenge level to you without stopping to do anything other than level up.
Vending Machine: What PC merchants used to be referred to (and treated as) before the advent of the merchant boxes. Still true to a limited extent.
Tough Crowd: A group of individuals who don't seem to take well to the presence or antics of your character, despite the player's best efforts.
Miser/Pennypinch/Scrooge: People who haggle over the cost of merchandise from PC merchants in amounts as little as 50 gold or less.

I think this one's my favorite. And the days were good, you liar. It's always fun to laugh about what your roleplay consisted of year ago. Mine was basically being an idiotic drow priestess. Before that, I spent far too much time on a character I never really developed and still have yet to finish the background before bringing her out again.
Poor Estara. Even the girl I named my forum account after. So sad..
Blank - A quiet or unassuming player who rarely says anything. His bio is something like 'a man in a cloak' or simply '~~RP~~'
La Auture - Not necessarily extroverted, but a player who has a biography that could be used to deforest a square mile of rainforest were it ever printed
Dummy - A player who regularly spits the dummy out, over the smallest things. Examples include that first drow priestess some people make, and then wonder why they find their eyeballs in the back of their skull.
Dark Arts - The term used to define the actions of those who use exploits, hax etc to get one up on their fellow players. Tend never to last too long.
Example: I heard Xaviera's been dabbling in the Dark Arts again
Defense Against The Dark Arts - The art of taking screenshots, and hosting them online.
The Chicken - Your friendly Avian Overlord. Mention not The Great Chicken Will Destroy You!.

You young pups. Back in my day we had two charisma boosting items sorcerers. Nymph cloaks and the Scandalous suit. That was it. Wizards had all the cool gear cause they actually had rings and helmets that gave intellegence modifiers. Having the full amount of attribute bonuses from items meant you had to be Aasimar or drow, as the racial modifier was considered enchantment.
