If you plan to make a new character in the next few days, this might be something for you. I plan to run a series of events with the purpose of giving your character an alternative beginning to his/her life as an adventurer on Amia other than delivering packages for Speedy's, hunting rats in that ship and/or killing zombies in the Sewers, etc.
There are many ideas swimming around in my head, but I'll start with the easy events first and see where this goes.
Now, the first event will take place on Sunday already, and it will cater to characters who want to have a background as a gladiator in the Cordor Arena.
Requirements: - You must be level 2
- You must be somwhat melee-oriented, buildwise.
Interest? I think I can manage as many as 10-12 people at a time. Max.

I usually don't manage to get on A on the weekends. I'd love to participate in a starting event to give my PC a background in Khem. Any chance you do something there? Maybe similar to Cordor arena gladiators, PCs who start as slave pit fighters in Khem.
While it does sound like a ton o' fun, I'm a bit hessitant, due to my already too large number of characters that I want to play, but never get around to. <.<
As I understand it, though, this is something that would be going on for more than a single day/evening, right? So the characters would (mainly) be brought out for these events, so they'd follow along as they progressed? If so, I think I can safely say that I'm in.

Exactly. The plan is to give you a bit of a story to tell when someone ask you "So, how did you become [whatever presitigious thing among adventurers]".
Then, you can go: "It's a long tale. You know, I originally started out as a simple gladiatior in the Cordor Arena. I'm an genasi, you see, and what better way to deal with the strange unknown than to pit the freaks against each other in the circus of death, eh? (...)"
Sort of beats the purpose if you hunt rats in the sewers in your spare time, I guess.

Party Carrion Raven: A Raven-themed Air Genasi Party Leech which does not only suck, but takes pride in their level of sucking (i.e. frequent boasting about their low con score), and, in acting like a raven, is overly attracted to "shiny" loot.
Its existance is only justified and tolerated by the frequencey of puns it manages to dish out, while the rest of the party dishes out damage.
Like that one?
Yes yes, I'll leave and prepare before I turn it into a spampost. Later!

Propose something Dakotaen.
And, I've gotten some questions, thought I'd clarify them here:
No, you don't have to be born in Cordor. Not at all. Your character can be most anything, your character just started out his adventuring career as an gladiator in the Cordor Arena instead of being an errand boy for Speedy's. It's the same thing, only different.
I'm very much willing to work with you guys here. If you want to play an escaped drow who's fighting in the Arena in some attempt to win the hearts and minds of the Cordor Nobilty (or what's left of it), then that's cool.

Uhm-hummm... Is Saturday out of the question? It's pretty hard Sunday, otherwise, since Chrissy is an aussie and hence something like 8 hours ahead of us. Alternatively, you can go on without me, and I can level to whatever level you want them for the next one, if any higher?

OK, first installement tomorrow at 14 (GMT +2), this one will be for the A-boys. Don't worry if you can't make it, will have another one quite soon, this time for the B-boys. And so on.
Just keep your characters lowbie enough, and you'll be dandy.

I think I will make a male char for this as well. Still thinking on a build or race or everything. But, I think I will make my first full elf character for it.

well, I made the character. He is and elf monk/wiz/AA but that will be a monk for at least the next four levels. His name is Elorin Verduith and I will log in Amia with him when we are all ready.

So sorry, guys. I was looking forward to this, but my wireless connection's been down all day, effectively ruining my usual Sunday routine of non-stop gaming.
Let's try to do this first half of the coming week, like Tuesday?
If anyone of you don't have my msn, please add me, and we can discuss the how and when there.
Hit me up man. And My afternoons tend to be semi busy being a Uni person. Best day for me is actually Wednesday afternoon, but I'll try and be negotiable.
