I'm just running a query of how many players are out there have or want to play as a Half Orc, Orog, Ogrillon, kobold or goblin character and see if we can get a collection to get a faction going.
Basicly the thought I had was a cunning Orog managing to convince his stupider or downtrotten cousins and bullying his smaller cousins to band into a group that goes about and does its business. Because the faction will be a collection of both surface and underdark races, we get to interact both with the surface and underdark.
The heirarchy's simple. You have:
1) The boss/chief
2) Everyone else. (Half Orcs, Orogs, Ogrillons, Full blooded orc or half ogre PCs, Goblins and kobolds.) Please Note: the bigger fellas will always get preference over their runtier cousins, it's just how the "I'm bigger then you!" system works.
The goals of the faction as well as the allowed classes I'll think of if this sparks any interest. I'll need some help from the lore junkies out there for this as I know little about DnD orcs.
Just as a final note, I have no intention of making a chaotic stupid faction. Chaotic evil characters such as Ogrillons will be none-the-less welcomed into the faction though.
I've a very dumb but powerful Barbarian Ogrillion who worships Baghtru. I'm really not sure why but most Orcish type PCs seem to worship Tempus or Bane and seem to shy away from Orcish gods in favour of human ones. I don't particularly wish to play him as anything other than an extra to make up your numbers. Having said that, for his level he's very very powerful and scary. I'm sure he'd make a good minion for you.
I'd have to unarchive him and I really am trying to limit playing anything other than my main and my shadow elf alt. I'd be happy to play him from time to time when you need numbers to do a 'showdown' or whatnot....
I once played on a server that had a whole tribe of Orcish based Barbarians and clerics and the like. If you ever had to fight them, after you'd somehow managed to survive the maxed out Implosions, you then had to face down a whole lot of Black Orc Barbarians....scary indeedy!

The Steelscale kobold tribe may entertain an alliance.
Kobolds, however, are almost always Lawful and the goblinoids are typically Chaotic, with the exception of Hobgoblins, I think. Getting along is not assured.

I don't blame you for cutting down on the characters, I had that problem not long ago. It's up to you in the end mate, you seem to know about orcish deities so I'll need your help if that's cool.
Hmm.......it could be fun, if he ever hit level 30, he'd easily be one of the toughest characters around. I used to play an Amazonian Barbarian girl who could solo Dragons'. I got me old friend Glindo to help me build it. In terms of Build, this Ogrillion would level for level, be even stronger than that, though, given that was a level 40 server, I'd have to be a bit more careful here in choice of feats, etc.
Anyways, his name is Pork Grind Skullcleaver. "Pork smash guuuudh!!!"

Actually, given how indepth and involved my main is, I'll need a mindless Droog for my alt. Elithiel is a bit too involved to play properly as an alternate PC for now so I'll dust off Pork and I'm sure he'll be cleaving his way to glory before too long.

Cool, that's 2 that's joined the party then.
If anyone wants to PM me you can do so by the forums. If you want to catch me ingame, keep your eye out for Jack Galenson 'Salandran', Aristos Etuul or Grimgor. (For Grimgor I use an alt account so don't be put off from asking if you don't recognise the playername)

I have a mini half-orc hunting group going on with my brother Phearnun. We play very very occasionally though. Would be funny to meet other greenskins. But we usually let PvP decide who is the boss of the group and sometimes who gets a very shiny item drop. Dunno, if that fits the faction you intent to create.
I also have a low level ogrillion as my alt, and I'd love to come along if I have the time. I've dumbed him down to the degree that he knows very little common, partly to ensure I won't go the Bloodfang route twice. I learned a lesson.

Always good to have more muscle. Keep your eye out for "Grimgor" and send me a tell if you're around ingame.

Knowing Orcs, in a "Bigger is better" heirarchy PvP is inevitable. For the timebeing though, it's just one cunning orog rounding up his dumber cousins into a mob. (until I level up the character more)
If you guys need a break from the Triad/EO RP let me know and I'll try to be around during Euro hours.

Woohoo. I was hoping for atleast one non-Gruumsh half orc. Keep an eye out for "Grimgor" in game and we'll add you to the pack.
Just as a final note, anyone whose interested (including everyone who posted in this topic) can you send a PM to me with your player login and character name? It'll make co-ordination alot easier.
I would say that PvP both amongst each other and with other factions/groups is likely/inevitable and most certainly part of the RP.
Having said that, we'd want the group to be feared (and a whole group of greenskins is very scary indeed, what with goblin rogue/SDs, Barbarian Ogrillions and various Shamans) but well respected OOC.
Acting like a bunch of monsters is great fun but just remember to always give the puny elfs/hin/humies a way out from any hostile encounters. From what I've seen of the players coming forward, this shouldn't be a problem.
I noticed the one monster area called the Blacktooth cave now has a locked door on the crystal ward. Meaning, none of us can use it!
I asked if it were a faction thingy and the answer was no. So I'm at a loss as to why we can't bind to the gobbo cave as orcs?
*sniffs the air* Me smell Man flesh!!!

btw I have an Orog BG of Velsharoon that would be willing to join you. He is CHA based with a pretty high INT so would fit in with the higher ups if willing. His name is Graktok Jerz so if I see you in-game I'll try and arrange a meeting to discuss.

We're trying to steer away from non-orcish deities (Gobbo and scaley deities are exceptions provided they remember whose boss!) so if your character's willing to convert or atleast lip-speak loyalty then you're in.
If anyone's half orcs need converting to the orcish deities, I'll do my best to put in the required RP for the DM assistance. Even if it takes months.

I'd be willing to convert, although how he would get out of a binding "my soul belongs to Velsharoon" Pact is beyond me, and I am not willing to lose all my blackguard power for an undetermined amount of time, and its not even something Grak would do in character as he very much enjoys the power Velsharoon has given him, so it is unfortunate but doesn't look like it will work out.

I would say that there's quite a few orcy's that need converting because, they found the only place they fit is with various human factions (Bane, Tempus, Velsharoon, etc).
I would say that if they don't convert, they'd simply be looked down upon as worshipping a weak human god. I don't think that would exclude them though, just that they'd never rise high up the tribal hierachy whilst worshipping weak human scum gods.
Its a very sad fact of life on Amia that the vast majority of Orcish type characters in game worship weak human gods and have forgotten the true path of Orcdom. But don't worry..the Black Horde will be arriving soon and will come streaming down over the hill to raid towns and villages, to pillage, plunder and steal, loot and burn.
As General Grimgor gains more and more followers, no doubt the Orcish brutes will see the error of their ways and unite behind the Dark Horde of Gruumsh and allied races...
The time of Men is over...the Time of the Orc has arrived!!

I doubt I have time for this, sounds interesting though. If you ever wish to involve Amareth and winya or lualyrr, I am up for it.
I did get a book that you might be intrested in, called Classic Monsters Revisited, that might be of intrest to you all. IT describes goblins, orcs, hobgoblins, trolls, orgers, kobolds and other monster races. It is pretty neat. Not exactly FR Lore but not sure how much FR lore is on them. so if you wish for me to post some of it or send you a PM of the info let me know.

Okay, that's a very simple fix really. Though you -think- you've been worshipping Velsharoon, all this time you've been worshipping Shargaas (it was an elaborate ploy by Shargaas to show you the ways of Darkness and Deception).

Got an half-orc named Borbag. He's not that strong yet and I made the mistake of making him CE. I've never played him like it though so I guess I should request a DM to change it. But Borbag is more than willing to get a tribe and not be alone all the time

Good to have you aboard!
I'm still waiting for some more PMs from people who've posted here. It helps co-ordination incredibly and gives me a rough idea what timezones I have to log in for.
CE fits the group, its a chaotic horde, banding together to take over the world. A mass of monsters ready to march on whatever objective fits the campaign setting.
What I see our purpose as:
1. Comic Relief (when needed)
2. Be the enemy for Winya (we'll organise RP battles between greenskins and elves when needed)
3. Be the shock troops and cannon fodder for evil factions needing some extra muscle power when they launch an attack (Drow, Banites, Red Wizzies, whatever)
4. Be Monster adventurers (as in go on adventures together)
5. RP monsters actually behaving like monsters (capture people for ransom "pay us 1 million gold or we'll eats her") and be the gangly freaks we are
6. Conduct raids on settlements
7. Be the PC faction for DMs when they have a greenskin army marching over the hill for DM events
8. Take control of an area (Bramble woods or whatever) and with a regular presence, develop a sense of fear by others when entering that area. Give it a real sense of 'injin territory' about it...there be monsters lurking in them woods...sort of thing...

I think I could be convinced to make a character siutable.
Actually, I've tried multiple races of characters. But the best I ever do is when I have a Human racial. I find it a bit challenging to gather enough information to feel that I have a grip on racial realisms to play the character well [that would be, an orc who acts like he's been raised orc, not by humans or wolves or poor elven farmers; ect].
I'll toss in a "maybe" answer to this. Just some knowledge to collect [as I'm learning DnD and Amia at the same time] and a bit of inspiration for build idea.

I can imagine there will be plenty of 'pecking order' fights internally, squabbles over treasure that sort of thing. It'll be important to remember to make it fun for everyone and not to be precious about losing in PvP. Being monsters, we'll get beaten up a lot by goodies and also each other.
That's part of the RP. Don't hold grudges OOC. All the usual faction ideas on playing the monsters will mean that paladins will want to kill you, Elves will want to kill you, well, lots of people will want to beat you up. Lose gracefully, you WILL die a lot.
Being quite tough critters, Orcs will just as likely win too. With Pork, the only time I had problems IC/OOC is when he wins in PvP. Most times I go into a fight like that, I expect to lose but then he wins and oh well.... Just remember that some people may view your mega-powerful monster as a PvP happy player built powergamer toon. Make it obvious OOC that they can back down from any hostile situation.
I had 6 people gang up on him once. Fully expecting to lose, he attacked...and won...it was then obvious they were lower level. It was too late, oops. I apologised OOC and felt real bad...

Kobolds may be a bit harder to get into the group, as there is already numerous kobold factions on Amia. Someone get Uce to bring in Stillborn <_<
I might as well just give 'Uce the key to the tribe if Stillborn came in interested lol.
With the Stunted Scaleys, I'm working on something... reading as much lore as I can on all the monstrous races.
Edit: Oh! Welcome aboard!
If you need some books that are harder to find, say 2.0 or lower, editions of Dragon or Dungeons magazines and FR books not developed by wizards, give me a yell. I know where to score most of them.

Actually I got a small story to share. I was out killing stuff with Borbag when i met two other greenskins. They claimed that this was their territory and that I should buzz off. Borbag refused and him and the biggest greenskin started arguing. This evolved into combat with the smallest orc cheering for the biggest orc. Borbag won the fight and then claimed that he was chief now. The other two hailed him and that was that.
The point of this story is that playing greenskin is fun and the squabbles between them is fun to rp

Character in the works. I might as well give it a shot since sometimes I really do want to play somebody able to go out and just hit something.

Is there a suitable area? Bramble woods are rather dull because it's a low lvl hunting area. Maybe somewhere on Amia B. I actually use my half-orc only there when I am too lazy to spam DC to get on A.
