Flarg Army Oath
==============================================
As of late, we, the mighty “Flarg Brothers,” have received several requests from players to make a Flarg of their own. This post is not a result of our distrust in other people’s abilities to make their own characters, we only want to maintain the integrity of our own characters' back story, objectives, and personality traits. We are NOT trying to quell your creativity; it’s just for the greater good.
Here are the requirements you must meet:
Race is obviously Hobgoblin. For comical reasons, your portrait must be the dumb looking half-orc with the spikey club. Not the blue tinted one. The surname must be exactly three letters, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shall have, and the number of the letters shall be three. It is Flarg tradition.
Personality: Your character must be stupid. Not just kind of dumb, but as dimwitted and unintelligent as you can make him. No modifiers higher than –1 or base ability scores higher than 8. We realize this makes the creation of wizard and rogue characters impossible, but face it, the Flarg tribe isn’t likely to churn out a character of that sort anyway. Your character must be evil of some sort. Your character must be COMPLETELY loyal to King Nak, as he is a legend and hero in the Flarg homeland. As fun as it may sound to try and thwart the Flargs’ stupid quest as somebody inside the tribe, it would really ruin the whole thing for us. Sorry.
Back story: Your character has been sent from the homeland to aid in the struggle of King Nak and faithful companion Dur. Be creative and come up with an interesting occupation or reason that your character will be able to aid the Flargs in their conquest of Amia, since being sent from the homeland is a very prestigious and noble privilege. King Nak and Dur have no idea of the route that brought them to Amia. Just like them, you were put on a raft by your tribe and sent “north.” The Flargs vaguely remember where they come from, simply referring to it as “south.” You grew up hearing all about the great exploits of Nak, the mighty King of Flargland, as well as Dur, the most powerful Flargan warrior. We encourage you to make up various tales of our past deeds and accomplishments to provide humor and enrich role play. Just start telling a story, and we will go along with it. The Flarg Brothers will not remember you from Flargland, as they have not been there for some time and likely never even met you due to their high status in the tribe. Furthermore, upon your arrival, you have no idea where they are, or even if you are on the right continent. When you start playing, begin asking around as to our whereabouts. Start in Cordor, not Brokentooth cave. Do NOT pm us and port to us, you MUST find us on your own. We will not recognize you, but the Elder Flarg Shaman “Wuk” gave you a secret message that will let the Flarg Brothers know you are one of them. Make up something good.
Most importantly, have fun and be charismatic! The more quirky and over the top your character is, the more fun we will have.
Oh, and all Flargs HATE halflings, or "shorties," as we lovingly call them. To the Flargs, they are dismissed as weak and inferior. The Flarg Brothers have been, accordingly, banned from Bendir Dale due to their behavior.
Current Flarg Roster:
Flarg Nak: King of Flargs. (monk/cleric)
Flarg Dur: Nak's right hand man. (barbarian)
Flarg Gok: Flargan minstrel and top chef. (bard/fighter)
Flarg Tug: Champion rock thrower. (barbarian)
Flarg Kai: Flargan chanteuse. (bard)
Flarg Lee: Backstabbing braggart. (monk/assassin/cleric)

Weak? WEAK? *the Hin brandishes her dagger & watches the Flarg boys run, as usual*
Yeah its me 'Nasty Shorty Lady' *LOL*
Honestly, even before you posted this I'd been toying with the idea of making a Gobbo character to be your much put-upon cowardly minion.... but, like Silvarus, I have too many chars already, & most are getting neglected as it is.

Haha. Honestly, one of our favorite parts of the game is getting kicked out of Bendir Dale and having to avoid the "mean shorty-lady," the sum of all our fears. The gobbo idea is great, I should have mentioned that, since hobgoblins are known for pushing around their smaller kin. Someone had done that before, but we haven't seen him in a while. Wufulu, if you read this, we need our left-hand man back!

We would surely welcome a female Flarg. As far as the portrait goes, I think it would be hilarious if you could still have the same portrait, but since you would be the first to make a fem-Flarg, go ahead and choose yourself . I would say try to get it as close to the standard portrait as possible, however.

Mind that you'll need a portrait unlocker to get the male portraits to show up in female character creation.

Gok o' the Flargs will be looking out for you.
Watch out for the shorties and the dark-skinned not-Flargs. They'll kill you quick as can be. Even when you're told to relay a message, you come back and BAM, you're disemboweled.

Sounds crazy fun. I might just go ahead and create one, I'll inform you of the if and when.
What timezones are you people mostly on, however? (sorry if this was previously asked, but I'm in a tad bit of a rush. Just give me the quote or something if it has)

Hey everybody, you may have noticed a distinct Flarglessness in Amia as of late, for which Nak and I apologize. We also apologize for our total (and rather rude) lack of explanation sooner than now, especially to those we made commitments to or agreements with: particularly Gok, the Qos'yutsu house, and Rhalia. The school year has begun and Nak and I have been pretty overwhelmed by our current semesters. We have not been allowing ourselves to play NWN lately due to college, deeming it too big of a distraction from our work. We are certainly missing it, especially after the exciting new developments (particularly our disastrous defeat at the hands of the Shorty Vermin ) that happened before the real world took over our lives.
But fear not, Flarg enthusiasts and antagonists! All is not lost! We intend to return as soon as our schedules free up, back with as much world dominating determination as ever, if not more. For the moment, we ask that you RP the following in order to explain our mysterious disappearance:
After their humiliating and utterly demoralizing loss in "The Battle of Bendir Hill," a day that will live in infamy, Nak suffered an emotional and philosophical breakdown. He questioned his status as King, the divine providence and power of Maglubiyet, the proper pronunciation of said deity, and, most unsettling for him, whether or not he possessed the strength, wisdom and leadership abilities to complete his most holy and noble quest.
In order to pick up the pieces and reestablish all that he once held true in the world, Nak, along with faithful companion Dur, decided to leave Amia and recollect their thoughts (much easier for Dur than for Nak). They told nobody but Gok, their new, though not yet fully trusted (or fully ingrained in their dull memories), singer/songwriter friend, but they did not say where they were going or why. Nor did they know, for that matter. With the intention of heading South, the direction of the Flargan homeland, the Flargs were last seen by Gok launching their finely crafted (by Flargan standards) "Mega-Raft" towards the Eastern horizon. They have not been heard from since.
(Everyone else in contact or alliance with the Flarg Brothers were not informed in any way whatsoever of their departure, so they should RP their sudden, unexplained disappearance as they see fit.)
Have fun, and we miss you guys!

When you say no ability modifiers above -1, do you mean 8 str, 8 dex, 8 con, 8 int, 8 wis and 8 charisma using the bug that allows you to not spend on any stats?

yeah, just Int.. having a low wisdom score is also nice for RP reasons..
"Hey, we go lie to shorties.
"Yar yar that be good idea."
Of course, Gok is rocking a pretty good charisma, being a musical poet of sorts.. I just don't know how exactly that plays out with non-Flargs... He can't be that good looking, right?
