A loud explosion shatters the silence of the night air outside the temple of Kelemvor in Benwick Hollow. The sound sends the guards in the area scattering in all directions, unsure of the source.

The following is an excerpt of a report filed by Richard Leonald, Knight-Templar of the Eternal Order, who was on duty in the temple that night:

"I was at my usual post in the temple, having neither heard nor seen anything out of the ordinary up until the point of the explosion.

The explosion rocked the entire interior of the temple, knocking me to the floor. I righted myself and ran to the main antechamber, where the idol to Lord Kelemvor is.....was located. The entire room was shattered, benches were scattered everywhere and the idol was in pieces throughout the room. High Priest Aelthas was nowhere to be seen, but in his place were undead most foul. With the help of Knights Wetter and Addams, I dispatched no less than 2 mummies, several zombies, and a vampire lord, all of which seemed tasked with haunting the temple.

Knights Wetter and Addams described seeing a human sized form entering the temple shortly before the incident, dressed in the garb of a temple acolyte.

The task of rebuilding the idol was set to immediately, as was the task of attempting to locate High Priest Aelthas. To date he has not been found."



Some time later the Defenders on duty at Nes'ek village are visited by a zombie bearing a scrap of paper. The zombie bears an uncanny resemblance to Aelthas, High Priest of Kelemvor, who recently disappeared. After the message is delivered the zombie becomes feral and attacks those present, resulting in it's quick dismemberment.

The contents of the message remain secret to all but those present and those in their trust.

//For the record, there is still an NPC named Aelthas in the temple of Kelemvor. This is not the same one that was there before, that one has passed onto a better place. Until the mod can be updated to suit this please treat him as another, quite different, NPC.

Octavia took the news like a blow to the gut, but she bore now tears for those who died, for they had gone to the lords realm.

She fought comfortably along the Nes'ek lines, knowing the perpatraitors would be caught and judged when the time was right.

Late one after noon, she approaches the temple of Kelemvor, dragging a man who had dared to summon a powerful ghast infront of her, a man who had been killed in a sudden burst of rage, as the man had made a mockery of the assult on the temple. She unceremoniously stuck him up on a cross of wood, and as she mumbled the holy rights of purgeing to kelemvor, lit the man on fire after douseing him in holy oil.

She carved a message in his burning chest, and made sure the blaze stayed light for some time that all may see.

"Once the undead onf Ank'remun are put back in their coffins! Tarkuul and the Setite are next!"
