There are two points I wish to make. The Fist and the Militia must at all times work as one. The Militia is the Dales standing force and is responsible for the defense of its borders. The Fist has very plain goals and responsabilities...which are fully supported by the Council.

Second, I would wish that every Fist and Militia member muster for practice once every fortnight. The schedule to be determined by Captain Torrowfire and myself.

Today is a grim day indeed. Some of you may have heard or noticed a man in dark robes, a bald head with a pony tail, and a sizeable nose. This man seems innocent enough, but he is our enemy and no mercy should be given to him if he refuses to leave. One warning, then slay at will.

His crime is a grave one: he intends to possibly use the Dale for his cult's new location, or introduce his cult here or what ever. Do not listen to anything this man does and refuse all help from him. He is a messenger of Bane, and everything he does will undoubtedly end up bad in the long run. These are not friendly emissaries from the Shrine, or followers of Lathander, but monsterous people bent on corrupting everything pure and good around them into darkness.

They cannot be allowed to take root. Any one who admits to being a Banite or is known to revere him is to be removed from Bendir Dale, by force if necessary. These are not jokes, nor am I trying to wage a holy war. These men, this Bane, will corrupt our children and destroy the divine relics we most revere. I know that we do not all follow one god, but I believe that they would want us to unite in defense of our civilization - Yondallan, Selunite Tymoran, what ever. Do not kid yourself, this is our very life and soul we are fighting for, and something like our own differences should not get in the way.

I am sure Mayor Nof will support this decision to the fullest. We're hin. We won't let any one, least of all these black-hearted bastards, come in and do what they will to us. There is nothing our enemies want but tyranny.

Any Banites should be reported to Captain Lyle Torrowfire so they can be added to the black list.

The Banite passed thru Dale territory last night and was tracked into Mylock held lands by myself, Sally, and Marigold. He was confronted and informed in no uncertain terms that he and his ilk are banned from Bendir and if he or any of his brethren is seen there again he will be forcibly removed. He made no hostile actions and was not engaged in combat by our scouting force.

He stated his name as "Mard".

There is a guest in the Dale! She is a slender, dark elf female, who does indeed have an insignia of Eilistraee. She should be treated with kindness and respect. If there is any doubt she has a pink spider tattoo on her cheek. She is being redeemed for past wrongs so treat her fairly.

GUARDS: She is to be gently handled, and is not allowed to leave the town at any time, unless with Captian Lyle Torrowfire.

MERCHANTS: Do not sell anything other than heal potions and bandages to her... and of course alcohol, Fendel.

A new officer is needed for the Mage guard division. The previous mage guard officer is welcome to apply again. A second sergeant is also needed for the warrior division. Lyam Thornhill is welcome to apply for the position again, should it still be open when he returns. Please let Captain Lyle Torrowfire know if you wish to hold either position.

We are also currently recruiting mages and healers. If you are either, a resident of Bendir Dale, and wish to apply, fill out an application.

The roster is also updated. A few applications are also pinned to the board.

Anita stares at the new notice for a few moment and bites her lip, then fills out an application for a healer and gives it to Lyle with a small smile the next time they see each other.

Jen looks at the board, as she does regularly, and smiles when she sees that Drohina has finally been listed.

While on a patrol through the Skull Crags, I ran into a man wearing Black and Blue, wielding a rapier and tower shield and also had a dark colored longbow as well, he seemed to be a Shadowdancer and possibly a bard. He claimed that the Crags was Banite country and that, "all who passed though these hunting grounds needed to pay tribute to Bane", so i told him he needed to leave and take his Banite talk out of the Crags, after which he started preparing himself with some spells, so i did too, and after some chase I was able to take him down.

Do be careful in the Skull Crags and travel in pairs if you must go through there.

Also I ran into two elf ladies that said they ran into a group of five of them earlier. There presence is way too close to the Dale if you ask me.

Please excuse the intrusion but this is a matter of extreme importance that I must weigh in on.

The Banites claim to this territory, regardless of it's warrantless and preposterous nature, is a danger to all Hin. We are frequent travelers to these nearby borderlands and this action is a direct threat to the Dales folk and prosperity that should be met head on. I plan to execute sorties into the Skull Crags Foothills on a daily basis until the threat has been eliminated. Any able bodied Hin or Fist members of any stripe willing to join me to confront this directly will be welcomed unconditionally.

Earlier today, Crunch, Captain Lyle Torrowfire, Estragon and Swift Torrowfire fought a trio of Banites - one hin named Frego, a fat fellow in a robe, and a shadow dancer, and came out victorious. The bodies were disposed of. This, as far as I know is our first patrol through Skull Crag lands, and it was successful.

Swift scored the killing blow on the fat fellow in the robe.

Lyle scored the killing blow on Frego and the shadowdancer.

Added right below the previous battle record is a new one.

A sortie consisting of Crunch, Dram, Swift Torrowfire and Captain Lyle Torrowfire encountered a pair of shadowdancing Banites in the Skull Crags. It was a successful, if minor, victory:

Lyle scored the killing blow on one of the shadowdancers, after it was stunned by Dram. However, one raise the other, and they fled

They were later encountered again. They downed Crunch, but Lyle managed to fend off their attacks until he could be raised. Afterwards, Darthion and his spellcaster came by, however, a passing band of adventurers aided in taking down the spellcaster, as well as distracting the two shadowdancers. Crunch with a mighty roar, caught Darthion off guard, allowing him to be downed. A more decisive victory:

Swift Torrowfire scored the kiling blow on both shadowdancers.

The adventuring strangers scored the killing blow on the mage.

Lyle Torrowfire scored the killing blow on Darthion.

Do NOT take confidence from this. The Crags are far from safe, and Darth was already injured when we got him.

Things will be bloody. Do not go out into the Skull Crags, unless you are seasoned adventurer, and it is prefered you be in a group of at least five (in full magical preparation and armor), with at least one person who can turn into either an umberhulk or a dragon, and do not go very often. Take no comfort from this as the craven cowards may have been hiding under a rock waiting for easier prey, in disguise, or just off somewhere else robbing somebodys elderly and infirm grandma of her retirement funds by mercilessly clubbing her with her own cane.

Check the Crags regularly as thoroughly as possible (you know who to report to), but do NOT put yourself in any danger and if you are seen, run--get help, don't make us scrape your hide from our river banks.

An elf called Faelar wanders around Bendir Dale, asking for Captain Torrowfire in the Town Hall. Seeing the last notice, he leaves Bendir again and mutters to himself.

So... a handful of elves do not behave, and two thousand Quessir are thrown in one pot. I always thought only humans are short sighted.

Imprinted on a big discolored oak leaf is the following message:

I come to you with bad news. News of a manipulative, evil, necromancer type who raises undead. Through his lies, he gained my friendship. But when I fell in battle, he betrayed me and a follower of the morning lord. He wished to raise us, not from the dead, but as undead. If it weren't for a Dwarf women and an Elf man, I may not stand before you today as Willow Maynare, Druid of the Oak Father from the Oakmist Vale, but rather as a vile, mindless, undead creature who destroys the balance. No one stands in contradiction to the balance as much as those who practice necromancy. I ask you to be aware, don't allow this man to gain your trust, and don't allow him into the Dale. He is yet another traitor of nature and all that is good to watch out for.

The mans name is Verrin, he dresses in black, gray, and blue-green armor, a cape of the same colors with a blue trim, a bastard sword with an electrical charge, and a helmet of orange-red, and blue-green color. I'm not sure who showed this man how to match but thats not the point! I have drawn a picture so you can all have an idea of what he looks like. Thank you for your attention.

On a thin wood chip of an old, dead tree is a drawing of decent skill, but it does detail the color patterns of Verrins armor very well.

This man is the same man that summoned and undead outside of our cates and attacked what looked to be a ranger of some sort, she quickly dispatched of hte undead and him as well and left me in charge of the body. I tossed it on the cart to Kampos and paid the driver to take it as far away for the Dale as he could.

This happened not more than an hour after another man, a mage of some sort, entered the Dale with an undead wraith and after telling him not to bring that thing into our city he got defiante and started to prepare spells, at which time i subdued him and dragged him out of the city where a kobold took his body.

A small message is written onto Drudo's note.

This is how we should deal with all necromancers. If they start to prepare their spells whilst you warn them about their undead, feel free to boot them before they get their wards up.

Two Hin caused some trouble in the dale the other day. One of the insists that eating elf and human is "tasty" and the other quite obviously had no problems with this. When Okra, Perry and I confronted them about this they said they have broken no laws and had no desire to stop this brutish practice. We asked them to leave, but they refused to and when Okra asked for their citizenship papers they denied even having any.

Eventually the one started to prepare himself and then we noticed his bone arm marking him as a palemaster or at the very least sick. I prepared Perry up and they ran and were taken down by Perry. The Militia then stole their papers and said they would keep watch out for them.

The canibal was a fat hin who had similar facial hair to me, as well as my long nose and a hood.
I did not get as clear a picture of the pale-master however, but I believe he was not as fat and wearing a head-band.

I believe the two were brothers or at the very least related as they had similar ideas and sounded alike.

I believe these two idiots are the hin that have been attacking people along the road. What was done with the bodies?

One body vaporized soon after he died ((logged off)) Perry threw the other onto the cart to Kampos Storehouse, gave the cart driver 1000 gold and told him to take him as far as he would.

Their names are Blink and Merin Lionheart, Blink being the fat, somewhat slow-witted cannibal, and Merin the smart-mouthed one with the bone arm.

They are indeed brothers, it seems, though apparently they are also seeking their father, who's name I do not know, and on whom they quite strangely blame any wrongdoing....thats before the above incident anyway.

They travel with a human, I think they said his name is Olo, perhaps, who wears a very silly large round hat, fairly flat, but with a little point in the middle. Apparently this human is their servant.

They are indeed the ones alleged to have attacked travellers on the road.

There is someone on the island who is making dopplegangers and asking for hair--to create more, we're afraid. The guards who were outside the gates at the time of the incident saw the three copies that I was able to banish from in front of the Dale.

They may not be the actual creator, but they are unsafe to be around and should either be banished or otherwise removed from this plane of existence--physical death should work as well.

Please be wary and do NOT give hair samples to anyone who asks for them.

There is at least one other to be aware of. The description we have is a balding man with a grey ponytail, a chain shirt, and a long, dark cloak. The man carried a heavy flail. If you see this man, it is a copy as the original was killed by the dopplegangers.

Reported to us by a Kobold, who I am not sure I completely trust, of course, was an allegation of a woman in brief and revealing chainmail, and carrying a large red axe, who outside of Bendir's gates, threatened the Kobold, & commented she was bringing an 'army' to attack the Guards.

Apparently she claimed to the Kobold that she also had the severed head of a Cordor Guard.

The Kobold claims she then withdrew into the Orc lands and we did follow to search for her, but no-one was seen.

Recommend close watch on the Kobold who is named 'Paws', and also a watch for the woman described.

The two banned Hobgoblins expelled from Bendir tonight, they left with little or no argument, but much grumbling in their own rough tongue.

Militia, and Kibs, as it was his shop they emerged from, a while after I had come on duty, were reminded to take note of those on said list.

Our good friend and resident dark elf, Izzy, has earned her magical spells back. Thus, merchants can once again sell magical items to her.
