Travelers about Amia relay a story of a Star that shot across the sky. Several flashes of light were observed, and odd weather patterns continued around the Skull Craig mountains. Adventurers climbing up the mountain found a wound in the earth, surrounded by flames and heat.

Elsewhere, several coastline towns report a large wave that knocked out several piers and fishing rigs in Uhm and damaged some ships in Wharftown's harbor. Sailors report seeing the Seas "Boil" for some day afterwards in a particular location, but weren't able to tell the cause.

Well known Gnomish Astrologist Grondy Turnipscarfer describes that the falling star's appearance cooincides with the return of a rare shooting star in the sky that leaves a trail of dust in its wake that he calls a "Comet". Indeed, there is a large Star that fits this description in the night sky. He claims that the Comet appears only once every century or so, and leaves, but usually signifies good fortunes for those who observe it. Also he claims that if this is your birth month, you'll be popular with the Ladies this week.

The fishing trade in Uhm has become very poor. A shortage of fish is noticed. Many fish wash ashore, dead, seemingly scalded to death and unnaturally marred. They are otherwise inedible, as any that eat of them grow sick with dysentery and other ailments.

The village appeals to more charitable organizations for foodstuffs and dealing with the sick of the village.

Estara gives as much as she can to the people of Uhm (( if there is a DM to give this money to, I'd love to donate! ))

Rae wanders around Uhm, her little halfling hands working druid healing spells and protections. She is deeply concerned for them, as she had taken up residence in the small village several weeks back and they had been kind to her. Troubled by this turn of events, however, in the fish industry, she takes the time to head over to the water, where the fish are being caught, and examines the water, holding her druid staff close to her as worry grips her.

The village of Uhm accepts the most generous work and donations in order to save themselves from starvation. They make it known that nothing will be taken other than the basest currency to gain food to survive, and medicine & healing costs; Nothing more.

They do, however, plea to whoever can help them restore the fish to decent health, so that they can continue their way of life.

Damien Clauth, despite being cold hearted and a murderor, does care about the villagers of Uhm. He is frequently seen with his custodial employees, hauling wagons and barrels of fish (trout makrel, salmon) from wharftown to Uhm and giveing them to the local authoritys. They have also been raiding the nearby bandit camps and returning some of the possessions stolen from the village, and from unfortuante adventurers.

Lomir sighed, setting his eyes on a fish. With the help of his friend Silentpaw, he'd managed to catch some fish from the waters of Uhm, in hopes of finding out just what was wrong. He knew that there were far more important things at hand, but this was important too. Now, he needed to test this fish, find out exactly what is wrong with it. He had a suspicion of what it was however. He remembered hearing about the shooting star from the commoners of Uhm. It seemed so unlikely, yet this was Amia. Even the most normal event on Amia can cuase the utmost chaos. He sighed once again, picking up the fish.

The fish that have survived seem to have returned to their normal state of health, though still in limited numbers. The village of Uhm declares the day a Holiday, as the town's source of income seems to have returned, saving the village from abandonment as a ghost town.
