A mass of parchments is distributed through Cordor; Offered in Taverns, handed out by Town Criers, and placed publicly in some choice locations. Typically, it is written in the flowing hand of a scribe, and an extravagant golden colored wax seal, imprinted with a Dragon's head, is attached to the parchment. It reads as follows:
"Greetings and Salutations, fellowe citizens of Cordor!
I, Sir Horatio Emrys of Cordor, Esquire; do offer to contract a troupe of Adventurers of the highest Qualitie for Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousands coin to performe a task of utmost Importance.
These individuals, a groupe of no less than three, must show skill and prowess in the Martial Field, cunning, Intellect, bravery, and above all must be trustworthe to hire. Complete groupes with prior work experience and skill in teamworke and delegation are prefferred, though individuals may be contracted in addition.
The sum of the contract is to be paid in full upone completion of the task, and exterraneous expenses will be reimbursed in additione. If the recipient of this notice is to responde to this correspondance, I shall await your applications via the messanger service, or delivered to my estate in West Cordor, addresse labled below. Timely applicants will recieve preference.

Dear Gentlemen,
I could probably gather a group of merry miscreants posessed of a variety of skills in very short order. Such skils include: giant slaying, dragon slaying, lock picking, trap disarming, hiding, making people sorry they ever even thought they could see trained sneaks, numerous varieties of explosives, anticipation of the likely reactions of numerous unpleasant deities, and, to top it all off, they, or I, can carry a tune to cheer up most people. Please send any replies to me at the Shrine of Eilistraee.... Please do note that people foolish enough to try and trap me in such situations will recieve extremely unpleasant surprises. And yes, that does mean you Darli and Shnyt.

The final correspondence is distributed in the previously mentioned fashion.
To the Citizenre of the City of Tolerance,
I, Horatio Emrys, have had several coresspondences to my call for adventurers; and am now ready to begin a challenge of sorts for the prospective employees. Within a fortnighte, at a time that would suit those who have applied in advance best; there shall be a contest of skill, witt, and martial prowesse. I shall rent the Inn at Gabigatholes, and the Cordor Arena at this time; where the trials shall take place. A parte of no less than three and no more than five shall be chosen, of the best of these brave souls; and shall set forth on a task that shall be disclosde to only them. On the hour listed, meet in the field before Gabigatholes Inn, where the conteste shall begin.
