I thought it would be a cool idea to hear what players want to do (with their character, new character, e.t.c) in 2017.
- What do you want your character to accomplish? - What do you want your character to overcome? (Obstetrical wise) - What do you want your character to earn? (Nobility?) - What object do you hope to DC Request / Find? (E.t.c)
It'll be kinda cool to see what is "possible" request we could see in the future, as well as any changes players hope to do about their character. (This may seem a bit too ICly, so I'd ask for just vague ideas.)
Here's an example:
- I'd like to finish leveling my Shifter, Malice, and Paladin, Charles Oaklord. - I would also like to start some roleplay with either Malice or Charles.
[Please, don't make this another flame topic. If you don't plan to support other PCs, please don't comment. There's a difference between offering advice and completely disrespecting their ideas).
Supplant Aedan Terallis and keep him in a tiny cage like Deckard Cain in Diablo 2. Desecrate the temple of Selûne and turn it into a Chapel of Beshaba. Make Aedan watch. Sideffect: Make Darby really mad. Make her madder by populating the town with creepy birds. Hold nightly revels involving flaming brandy (She likes sacrifices of classy booze) and begging for her fickle favour. Watch Kohlingen say 'I told you so' about smelly tieflings. Fire casks of Flaming Brandy at Kohlingen. Start the Great Fire of Kohlingen. Live in Infamy.
Good-ish Rook
Bask in acceptance of civilised society. Be a generally helpful member of the Hands of Ieriyn. Do some Witchery to provide long term beneficial effects around the town. Perform the less savoury things settlements need to do to survive; don't tell anyone. Annoy Darby with birds. Secretly fall in love with Darby. Make Darby angry. Get stabbed. Die ironically.
All of the above may or may not be true. But I do want to continue playing the tiefling and see how it goes, as a member of the Hands she'll probably tread a different perception of right and wrong than others would. It'll be interesting.
On a side note:
Libris, I always liked Charles as a character. He's a far more 'questing knight' sort of paladin than others lately and that was interesting to me. Never met Malice, sadly.

Be accepted by Kohlingen Join some form of military like faction and make it past 'cadet' / 'Recruit' type status Get the Fey in the Fey lake district to like Matthew again. Help Solothain reach his full potential Finish building the Abby on Ruin hill as a Public place of worship. - What do you want your character to overcome? (Obstetrical wise) Get over crippling self doubt due to his 'sins' of the past Get over his excessive self guilt Break away from his past and use some form of catalyst to become a greater pally - What do you want your character to earn? (Nobility?) Nobility would be awesome for several reasons due to background fluff A Halo would also be awesome to earn The respect of key villains and specifically Hector. [Winning a villian's respect as a Pally is hard] Get Crystal to notice him. Get Rook 'Mary' to notice him. Learn more about Celestial ancestry and find out who his father and grand father were. - What object do you hope to DC Request / Find? (E.t.c) A halo Maybe a kitten or tiger?

- What do you want your character to accomplish? I'd like to see Elwyn gain additional ki abilities, like Malatril, Avadon and Nevaeh had before her. I want Laura to gain the hidden knowledge throughout her Temple and eventually Tarkuul itself. I want Tebryn to survive the collapse of Drow society at the hands of the dragon-kin and live to become an archmage or some shit.
- What do you want your character to overcome? (Obstetrical wise) Elwyn's lack of confidence in leadership, particularly her own. Laura wants to be able to walk freely among people without fear of being attacked. I haven't really established or encountered any obstacles for Tebryn just yet, but I'm still developing his character.
- What do you want your character to earn? (Nobility?) Respect and authority among the Tempurians in Ostland. Laura seeks to extend her life either mortal or undead, both are acceptable. Tebryn wants power, fear and respect from the denizens of the UD.
- What object do you hope to DC Request / Find? (E.t.c) A custom-made greatsword for Elwyn. (She's a simple gal with simple tastes!) Laura wants a staff solidifying her authority as high priestess, or favoured vassal of the Lich Lord's will. Tebryn will probably have a lot of different DC-requestables, mostly magical in nature. It'd be cool for him to levitate, though.
No guarantee i'll even reach for any of these in '17, but hey, a character needs a goal.

To be more productive, I guess, since all my characters' goals are spoilers and I feel it ruins the dimension of the character to talk about them publically, my actual goals as a player/Dev for 2017:
Overhaul +5 monsters to introduce new, alternate spawns so that you don't know what spawns before it shows up. Big project. Every +5 boss. Slightly change Forest of Despair monsters to normalize HP and fix extremes Fix Stingers in Akh'Remun to better reflect challenge for XP (CR going up - more XP) Change Stinger boss to not be a weird Sphinx for no reason REDO ASH CAVERNS. GET YER FIXIN HATS ON BOYS. Possibly more monsters/areas for Khem north of Ne'sek, in beetleland - Bug Matriarch getting an overhaul. NERF THE GODDAMN KHEM SNAKES. Fix the Asabi Shamans getting killed by their snakes and casting Crumble when there's no constructs.... Fix the angry Rift spirits - they were designed weirdly to prevent people from blocking their effects and it just ends up very odd, mechanically. Better ways can be done. Fix Manor of Mourn Vampires. Too useless and spammy. Fix Illithids. Too useless and spammy. Maybe look at skull crags beetles - those used to be well loved but now Darkhold and Minotaurs stole their CR range. Khem is weird in general. New monsters for skull crags in general - those spiders/yetis/wolves/horrors combinations are just really archaic and out of place.

This all sounds really cool! The skull crags were always one of my favorite areas to level in, so making the monsters more fun and worthwhile is going to bring a lot of value to the area. If us non-devs can do anything to help, let us know!

Current characters;
1. Actually make use of the information Pitt has on people/settlements and has been sitting on for almost half a year. Be more assertive as well, he's a pretty passive dude and it's not really fitting, need to tweak his aggression. 2. Give more lectures on Kilmar.
Build up Activity in the Barak Runedar Faction! Find some reliable bodyguards so I can go and find RP with someone with the title "King" and not cheapen said title by wandering around like some carefree adventurer. (Also links into #1) Expand and continue building up Barak Runedar the Settlement, working on its prosperity and such like. Again, ties into #1. Build up more RP in Brogdenstein which whilst associated with the Dwarves, is not nessacarily Dwarves. Expanding the niche as it were. Barbarians, Sailors, Svirfneblin and such like. Again, Ties into #1 Show dem orcs who is boss. Show dem Giants who is boss. Grow a beard worth a damn.
Well... those last three may be somewhat whimsical, but my goals are to build up the Dwarven faction on Amia. Activity has suffered over the last month or so due to some of our existing members having RL commitments, but I hope that I can gather more players, so that such things shouldn't rob us of our impetus so much.

- Finish the Mammoth Project I started with her as being a Catlord PrC to reskin all her animal and wild summons into different felines and doing the RP of how she met them (half done by now!). - Learn a few more missing shapes - Start/finish a few Grove projects and expeditions - finish her gear - Obtain more elves
DM wise:
- Get the Adventurer Guild rolling better, likely by using the idea of weekly/monthly random small pre-announced surprise plots. - Try help keep Winya and Barak rollin - Seems I'll be taking on Forrstakkr together with the aurelites I already do anyways - Try figure out how this homepage works to get some updates done - Overhaul the epic lootbin (already working on that)

Eradicate the Pyroclastic Dragon. Overcome the urge to stack heal spells and actually use that evocation Epic Spell Focus. Become politically part of Clan Anvilmar. Collect more scales to request that Windreaper the Big Blue Demon Dragon is now scaleless and shamed. Finish that Gear.
