Dru, Kathy, Taelar, Vass, Darby, Walter, Meri, Rania,Talas, Jacen and Cory. Thankyou for your presence and participation in a great event. We really brought the house down.
Thanks Gideon and Kira for listening to my tale. I'm trying to be more active but it's hard hehe. Thanks for the fun and the character moment for me, I got a new path for Candle now.
Doro Trill:When I first encountered Doro, I was... annoyed. "Great, another annoying hin, oh, a merchant... awesome. Really, does that schtick work on anyone?". However, I got to spend some time with him, on a grand scale adventure, no less. I have to say.. I'm impressed. His persona is well developed, and amusing and entertaining. If Rashad Jalucian were born a halfling, his name would be Doro Trill.

+1 *A Golden One
Doro Trill is hysterical. I laughed myself into tears the day we went with him. As I do every time I'm around him. A huge round of applause to a player who draws everyone in.. at the same time. He can hold multiple conversations which consist of a high level of RP and not stop for hours!!
Can we talk about how impressive Talas Volodymir's' background lore and FR knowledge are, and just how embarrassed and flavorless he makes us all feel in comparison? Most impressive example of a bard I've seen yet.

Talas only works because the characters around him are so damn awesome too, Jovianne is all kinds of fun to RP with =)

Thank you to everyone who has made my week of playing on Amia an absolute blast! Special thanks to the crew, you know who you are and we must be all hush hush.

Draven Jarneset, played by Kenpachi_From_Zaraki. If this is the new face of the Amian Banites, the faction needs ten times as many members as it has. As it is, I was pleased simply to hear what he had to say, and how it was said. Praise Bane.

Thank you [Tempestus Invictus] Armano De Vitale. I can hear the accent, see the arm motions and facial expressions and had a great time with the conversation. Hope Armano comes back soon!

To the people around Kohl today. Special mentions for Kurchin, Vera, Samantha, Hector, Dante, and Whurak. You all gave the events of today such emotional impact and weight, and made for what is certainly to remain one of my most memorable events.

No no Thank you Ulrick, I cried I admit it!

Winya Ravina: has been fun for me lately. In particular Aleana, Lyraesel, The Trifector of Elven PURGES, Mith - but mostly evesdropping on you all. And that feldrake for giving me a reason to play my class. Curse Levy's nose.
The Admiralty of Darby Mirth: Never stop. She never fails to amuse me; I like the fact she continues to evolve... and stuff. Yeah.
War Knights: The struggle, you know what I mean.
Selgoron (Sp?): I have rarely found such a polarizing character as this sublime asshole. He's so well done. When you consider Kurchin, and how different they are... It's just inspiring, really. I'm not sure I'd have the gaul to play him so abrasively, but kudos to you.
Barak Runedar: Insular, isolated, independent, pride. I could write an annual on the stubbornness of dwarves. You tick over like some engine up there, doing dwarf things.
Fae'relina: She's creepy. I like it; I don't like it. But, I like that she's creepy. My tiefling has wierd eyes too, so finding someone else RPing that is pretty cool; Rook isn't used to being the one feeling uncomfortable about people!

Gotta quote and emphasize this.
I know I mentioned this to you in tells, exquiste, but I have never encountered a PC that plays such a rich and immersive bard/scribe. Talas took on a role and ran with it. The focus and depth of this pc is absolutely amazing and I'm loving every minute of reading his reports and watching him scribble notes in game. It's epic.

I would like to praise everyone from the Wiltun crew that has been giving me too much fun lately. It's been the greates experience for me, I am learning a lot, and can only hope to give back to you guys as much enjoyment as I've been getting.
For tonight, a special mention goes to msheeler/Isildur. That character, that RP... Hard to put into words other than thank you for roleplaying Sam with Talas.

I want to throw a shout-out to the PC's playing in and around Kohlingen these days.
I'm a casual observer pc-side and have only personally witnessed these recent developments the other night during the sermon (which was awesome). Not only have the PC's been dealing with the emotional loss of two very notable figures, but this ongoing ideological battle between traditionalists/nationalists and progressive types over the Mulhorandi people and their place in Kohlingen has been so poignant and well done.
My hats off to you all. It really is fun and immersive to watch.
Or as i like to call them. These last three weeks have been real fun for me. I have really enjoyed rping with you all! Thanks!!!

I feel like giving a kuddos to a much larger group of players and staff than usual.
Right now, Amia has more movement on it than I've seen in a loooong time, and that's a huge improvement. Wiltun, Kohlingen, Winya, the Dale-- all of these Rp hubs seem to be engaged each in their own cool, intertwined stories. I'm particularly excited about the well-played internal conflict within Wiltun, Kohlingen, and Winya each. Huge kuddos to the players and DM's involved, especially those who have taken the initiative to create dynamic roleplay and even conflict within predominantly good-aligned cities.
It's inspiring to see. Hopefully it's not being received as overwhelming, or anything. It might just be me, but I feel that Amia is moving strongly in the right direction, strongly out of a sense of stagnancy. And that's gotta be attributed to all the movers and shakers, both players and DM support & plots. Good work, guys.
I wanted to give some applause to Arasinya for her time spent with Trey yesterday. It was cute, wasn't tremendously long, but... it had an effect. I've made Trey to be ballsy but insecure, and Arasinya saw right through that, and told her what she needs to hear, whether she believes it or not. So, thank you. That's the kind of meaningful roleplay I look for.
Also... I want to shout out to Anatida, just for being awesome. And thank you, far beyond generous in my eyes.

I agree with all that is said here one hundred percent.. Since my return I have seen a complete turn around in the Server as a whole.
Once again I am eager to log in!.. DMs, Devs and Players alike, you are doing an AMAZING JOB!!! *Passes out the Cookies*
// Edited to add Endir's Point to that list above..
A really fun read. I realize I'm super late to the party here because this was a long time but this is cool as fuck.

Naturally, this mechanism of Divine Magic can only operate when both sides are in agreement. Such is why a Cleric losing his Faith in a Deity inhibits his use of Magic just as much as a Deity disowning the Cleric. Even a relatively slight change in heart, in perception of the Possibilities as they relate to Reality can lead to the dance of Faith being thrown out of balance. It is for this reason, in my completely non-professional opinion, that Deity-Servers are often reluctant to change their outlook concerning even trivial things: it is a simple, subconscious matter of self-preservation.
Quote:
And an important property of a bridge is that the connection goes two ways. What we reach out to grasp through the Weave echoes back through the Weave itself. Whether we wish food or power or shelter or creative freedom, each interaction with the Weave shapes it and changes it in some manner or another. It is therefor my belief that the sentience of the Weave as we know it is a ubiquitous backwash of the wills and the wants of all sentient beings, mortal and immortal, who have utilized it. The force and mechanism of magic has grown and stretched with each mind and soul that interacts with it, remembering all of us as intimately as we might know ourselves. At the same time, the Weave itself has no agenda, but to be that freedom of creativity, to empower the beings that gave rise to it, and in turn, it gives rise to us. What we share with the Weave is an intrinsic linkage that responds not only to our wants, but our fears, our dreams, our hopes, and the stories we tell ourselves.
So I went to browsing the forum a little and found this book.
If a good, kind human discovers that he has descended from a vile blue dragon, and yet, lured by the promise of power - power which he can use to defend his home - he disregard the evil of his dragon ancestor and decides to pursue the path of the disciple anyway. In his research, he becomes obsessed, until several rituals down the line he no longer seeks the power of his ancestors in order to protect his home. No longer is he the kind and gentle spirit he was before. Taken by the power and nature of his newly-awakened blood, he has become arrogant and hungry for more, turning away from those he loved, whether intentionally or not, and placing his attention toward more aggressive, militant means. He is changed, mentally, physically, and emotionally. He may still be the same person, underneath, but he is driven by instinct fueled by the magic within him.
No matter who a disciple is when he or she starts out, by the end of the fourth ritual, they have become so attuned to their ancestor that there is no mistaking the path they have taken. Color begins to show in the scales that patch the skin and the disciple's nature begins to shine akin to their ancestors. There is no going back. There is no resisting these changes. If a disciple does not fully give himself over to the rituals and research, this journey simply will not be successful. The rituals will fail if there is any doubt. No further rituals can be completed if a disciple is riddled with regret, or feels shame for the path he has taken. It is a path of complete, total devotion and acceptance.
This is really cool stuff and I enjoyed reading it. I realize it's literally years old at this point but I am new so I guess 'good work on those books you wrote irl 5ish years ago.'

Thank you to Zombie_Duck for the spectacular RP yesterday. You're always good RP. You enrich the scene, exhibit an excellent RP standard and you force me to give my all. I would hope you feel the same but you keep killing off your PC's to get away from me.
Thank you to the short-folk who have made my stint as a Hin a lot of fun! The Dale has been very welcoming! I look forward to more!
A big shout out to Estara for Caron's recent stuff and playing a good dead person (it's hard to roleplay a dead person!) You also guided me very well when I was trying to follow through the IC happenings and the in-game events, so thank you!
Another to all the Bendir people, for bringing life into Bendir and getting things rolling! And those who have to deal with Rosary's recent pressures. (Specifically players of Dicey and Sullivan).

Doro and Gideon, thank you for the wonderful time today. Gideon, you're the first person in all my time here to ask to read a character's journal in character. Hats off to you, well done. Doro, even during a "hunt", you manage to keep the banter and roleplay going, giving Doro a real personality, also well done!

YES! The circumstances, the people you got involved, the dead guy RP, fantastic. Thanks so much! <3

And Elyon/MazeofThorns, no, thank you! And all the people who have been invested in Caron's Demise as I've dubbed it so far. To those who helped spur it along, to those who tried to keep him from it and to those who have done their best to bring him back! We will have to see what happens. I never thought something like this would happen to Caron before Samantha. Pretty hilarious, on one hand.

Estara, I just love you to bits. Gods that bard of yours never fails to put Rania though an emotional roller coaster, even when he's dead! You, sir, are a true genius, a wonderful fellow and an all around joy to both RP with and chat with. Thank you so very much for honoring me by allowing me to be a part of Caron's story. Rania would not be who she is nor likely even still be around without that bard's influence (both good and bad!) <3

I wanted to thank you personally for the welcoming roleplay and attitude Nas showed to Trey. I don't think Trey has ever told anyone so much of her story before, or had anyone so willing to listen. So! Thanks for that! Looking forward to more!

Wanted to give a huge shout out to everyone who I've been RPing with as Nas lately. I've been having a blast interacting with all of you, the pranks, the more serious stuff, learning about your chars and just about all the RP I've gotten to be part of. You're all awesome and you know who you are. You're all the reason I'm still around after all these years!
