Some UD bugs. http://i.imgur.com/ZaDrUmD.jpgThis leyline is broken, and overwrites whatever that slot is with a blank entry that doesn't work. http://i.imgur.com/8FazAog.jpgQuite a few walls you can just walk through, as well as some invisable walls by that mushroom that's just past the two NPC's in the picture. http://i.imgur.com/a0djvZo.jpgThis guy doesn't actually do the race check (didn't realize this was a thing until recently because it's essentially buried under two paragraphs of text, and given how much I travel on fast-travel I don't read that shit, so my bad) http://i.imgur.com/4viAIV8.jpgBut that would explain why all the guards do this.

I'm pretty sure the race thing was meant to be removed, at least, due to IC events. Thanks for the report on the other stuff.

Yeah I mean, i know from playin on other characters those UD fast transport people definatley know how to tell if someone shouldn't be there >_> Also L-Obsul or whatever won't let Cor'Xak in even though his racial home is there. Add that to the 'things that are funky' with being down there. I think it's the same bug as Cordor and Kohl from a month or so ago.

Ok this is new. http://i.imgur.com/fH4INyW.jpgCan't leave. Also since neither the leyline in l'obsul work and the one in nec'pyra is covered by a door and can't be used (?!) it's impossible to bind down here.

Alright, so the guards in Nec'perya always "identify you", it was a place holder for testing out new scripts for guards in Edonil two years ago and have been carried over to the new city.
The boat to Nec'perya does not have a racial limit going from L'obsul, but does going from Nec'perya. But your in luck because they walled off the portal in Nec'perya, so even drow can't use that either. I'm still sure that it was to limit RP possibilities because drow are just that unfriendly and don't need to interact with lesser races, or even other drow, anyway.
And finally, as a kobold you have to start in the optional location when you create the character to have any real access to the UD. I wonder why there are so few players in the UD? In any case, the portal in the kobold caves hasn't been working since the last time L'obsul was rearranged more than a year ago, I'm sure there was mention of it at the time...
I am glad there is someone playing that cares enough to really explore the area though. By the by, there has been zero drow activity for more than a month, now's the time to put Nec'perya under new management, the guards are fairly low level so it shouldn't be too hard. Or maybe I would love to see a few dozen drow dust off epic PC's that haven't been seen on the server for years rise up and thwart you in indignation only to disappear a week later.

I'd actually rather see it used consistently rather then just once and a while. I have a thing I'm doing on Cor to remedy this. So far I've come across one other PC while doing my 'thing' down there, and they had no idea what it was they were looking at. But that's for another topic. Likely an announcement topic after it's finished. Bravo21 wrote: And finally, as a kobold you have to start in the optional location when you create the character to have any real access to the UD. I also, as far as I can tell, didn't 'pick' it. I'm more annoyed about how literally no leyline down there fucking works (one bugged one with a stupid wall around it, why even have it?!), so the amount of foot traffic the place can see is literally nil. Which is a shame, because L'Obsul looks cool as all fuck and has a sort of 'mos eisley cantina' vibe going. But again, another topic.

The wall in Nec'perya was a player idea. In the past, drow were allowed guards the were actually more than level 15 so that anyone who tries to metagame the portal gets stomped, but that's a thing of the past and since they couldn't have the crystal set to race, up went a wall.
I can't wait to see something interesting happen in the UD. As you suggest, the original concept for L'obsul was exactly that sort of thing, a central hub where everything happened. But, well, the players that stayed in the UD made a go of taking a less traditional tack, and don't seem to be going anywhere with it. The only other UD racial group that has any number of players are kobolds, even the old population of duregar are long gone, it would be nice to see the common areas used again.
