TL;DR: Logging in specific character makes NWN crash

Here's the dealio. Starting today, I haven't been able to consistently log in all the way with Jovianne, on A or B. Even waited for a reset. I can log in other PCs fine. But trying Jovianne I crash at 3/4 loading screen or I don't even make it that far, my game crashes. Even if I am able to get her in after trying literally 10x, the problem repeats if I log her out or portal her. Portalling to the other server I crash on load screen. I have never had this problem before.

The only thing that 'fixes' it is logging in another PC, loading all the way, then logging out and trying Jovi again. MAYBE works.

Now, today Burningoutbright said she needed a bard volunteer for something. I said hey meeeee. She said she got what she needed, I didn't even know if she picked me/did anything to me, but I portalled to the other server about ten seconds after and got immediately booted. There was a message but I got booted too fast to see the whole thing: "...You will be booted, wait 5 minutes... *somethingsomething* applying class effects" ?! I waited 5 mins and was able to portal around willy nilly and play for a few hours, then I took someone else's portal and crashed loading. That's about when it started.

Not blaming my sweetie DM. Just thought maybe something on my bic got changed and now the server hates it.

Well it's been a day so I'm giving it a try again

Loading time takes five minutes... bar goes very slow stopping for the longest time at halfway, then 3/4, when my game just closes and crashes. Sometimes the loading screen doesn't even appear and my game crashes right after selecting PC. By crash I don't mean just freeze- NwN literally just shuts itself down and closes.

I've always been a slow area loader, normally takes me a few seconds more than most.

I just tried again and something new happened: Black screen. WAiting for loading. I actually hear the start area jingle and SFX FIRST, then my loading screen appears, it went about 1/4 way and promptly crashed.

Edit:OK, I figured out how to log in Jovi, I basically have to log in with another PC first.. exit.. then try her. No idea why. I noticed logging her doesn't work when I select her from my vault and her portrait doesn't show up and I click "login." But I've always had odd little things like that playing NwN. Just saying, something is lagging and taking too long on her file.

I'd still like help fixing it. Does anyone know what Burningoutbright did to me?

It's taking you too long to load into the server, anyone taking longer than 60 seconds to load in is booted.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh. Why would this be such a new problem though? Like I said I load fine, and faster on other PCs. Why's Jovi taking so long? BoB what did you do to meeeeeee

This can happen because of you having too many items, a slow connection, a combination of the server lagging and your connection or PC being slow. If you take too long to load into the game, you may actually crash the entire server, so the booting happens to remove you or anyone who takes too long to log in before the server can crash.

It will not always cause a crash mind, but if say five people, all who take longer than 60 seconds to log in, all try to get in at the same time, we may have an issue. This was the only way we were able to attempt to contain the random crashes on logins from PCs and DMs alike.

Best I can suggest is to close everything else on your computer and run just NWN so it will run fast as possible, make sure you are on a good connection and maybe try to log in Amia when it just recently reset. Once you log in successfully. Try to remove items you have that have very long bios, or just start trying to carry less items in general. You may also lower you visuals on this PC if it does take longer to load in. Anything really to just speed up your loading times entering the server.

Special class effects?

Did a feat get added to you through NWNX or LETO? If it wasn't done properly, it might explain why the server can't digest your bic file in a reasonable time frame.
