Hi, I'm a little curious as to the limitations of making a Shifter Reskin request and to what extent of customization is possible?
For example, if i had a human Shifter, could I request a basic human with specific items for its appearance to re-skin a humanoid shape? If not this, then could I select one of the template humans and apply VFX to it to all but hide its appearance? Apologies if this has been answered before.
Thanks

Just so I'm understanding you, you want to reskin either lizardfolk/drow/kobold shape into a base race? The vfx part is confusing me. Can you elaborate just a bit?

There are widgets that can re-skin shifter forms, but the re-skin must be a preset model (non-dynamic) and reviewed as a proper, lore-based alternative to the default form. VFX are also dependent on how the DM team feels.
I am led to believe custom shapes have a little more potential for customization, however.

By humanoid shape I was referring to anything that could wield a weapon, for example minotaur, azer or lich. Say for example I was a dwarf and wanted to have azer shape but to reskin the shape so that it would use a base race dwarf, equipped with the same items as my own as to retain my appearence.
Or if that wasnt possible, to instead use one of the preset dwarf npcs and to apply an immolation VFX to the model on spawn to take on the new appearence of an armoured azer.
I hope that makes more sense.

Polymorphing mechanically disrobes all your gear from you, meaning any dynamic model you choose will always be naked. Mere skinchangers that offer no mechanical bonuses, as polymorphing does, would allow you to retain your appearance. You could choose another static dwarven model and apply a VSX to it, though, along with a delayed skinchanger to produce the result you're after.
