For example on just for custom scripting, so our scripters see immediately which requests need their attention and input without having to dig through all of them.
My personal idea was (additional to what is now):
Subforum Name: Custom Scripts Description: Be it feats, abilities or spells, anything that does involve scripting.
Subforum Name: Special Race and Platinum Race requests Description: Requests of any races not available on chara creation.
Subforum Name: Job Log changes Description: Be it a full wipe or a change of the Job Log, please post here.
Subforum Name: Special PrC or Base Classes Description: Any non standard NWN Classes.
Any of these subforums would come with their own sticky of a guideline that is to help what is expected and possible also a template. If already existing, also DC pricing.
This is just the rough idea, please feel free to suggest additional or removal of some of these!
This should hopefully all speed up process. For example as a DM I would know "dang just got 5 min before heading to work, oh I quickly go through the job log changes as they are usually quite uncomplicated to comment on and do not require too much in depth reading." Just an example of course. As the other was locked temporarily and well it was hard to filter stuff out there anyways... please post suggestions, concerns, wishes here. Mind some of these requests will be made so they are easy to go and "only to be elaborated or go in depth" on special request if there are issues. Like I would imagine with many but not all PrC and some "unusual" skin colors and the like!

I will just repeat my desire not to use multiple subforums and instead to employ a concise sticky with the relevant information. Especially not a scripting subforum because players do not always know whether the request will require it or not.

I could go either way with the scripting one. At present I've just been bookmarking things that I need to track but... at the same time that means I can't really bookmark other things without it being a jumble. A forum might be nice, even if I had to move things there once it's determined that scripting would be needed, if for no other reason than ease of reference. But bookmarking does work (ish) too so... I could go either way.

If people are unsure they can always also post in general and if we realize it needs a script we can move it.

I'd say just use the forum structure we have now and maybe ask people to add a tag to the beginning of their post, IE:
Rogaku - Tuomas Valo- PRC Emulation - Exalted Wizard.
That's a possibility to put in.

Add a custom items forum as well, and it's complete (imho), advice and guidelines for each type of request would be nice to have too

Trouble with this is the limited number of characters a title can hold. I'm not sure so many subforms would be necessary, but one for scripting that the DMs can move topics to, but the players maybe can't initiate posts on would be a good idea, same with joblog resets, though no restriction on if a player can initiate the posts there, the rest should be fine. I would do the joblog resets simply because of the sheer number that get posted and the scripting because it streamlines the process for the devs to have to only look one place for them, hence less time spent looking through numerous posts for the one they need.... so more hours/minutes for the actual work, means less time wasted, more efficient production and more can get done faster.

The main issue with the current structure is that the easy stuff (RP item, no power on it) goes through same channel as a complex PrC/Race discussion. Changing the channel requires subforums, but the distinction should be simple, and clear enough for players who are not sure of the mechanics.
1- Splitting the "easy stuff" from the rest could propably allow for faster approval : existence of item makes sense in the setting, and PC would have a reasonable way to get it => it takes only one DM to give a DMIG without need to wait for a veto or comments from others? - PLCs - RP items with no power on it - Visualizer - generic summon - job system converters, Job log resets
2- Also, things which have already been requested and are known to be properly balanced & fit the setting, shouldn't be delayed too much, provided required format is respected (RP screenshots etc); - shadow jump - monk abilities, bard songs, - monkey grip - pre-made Spells and Feats - summon reskins already approved to other players
3- PnP spells and PnP classes (including Prestige Class emulation), PnP abilities with no IG mechanics
4- The other requests, which have heavier lore constraints, or haven't been balanced yet, or potentially require scripting: - non-standard Races or background - new summon reskins - custom abilities - custom items - DM assistance request
Given abilities may require scripting, I'd suggest the thread title be tagged *S* whenever approved and moved to a "To be scripted" subforum. Any other approved stuff should be flagged *DMIG* (edit thread title) to avoid unecessary bump later on.
Here, have at it. L.
