:!: This is an Important Announcement :!:

Hello, fellow Amians!

Some of you may have noticed a certain announcement recently, in which Glim describes the new direction Amia Development has taken. My listing in that announcement states that I now focus on things that the players, especially factions, need in order to prevent burnout and stagnation.

What this means for you!

It means that there is a member of the ADT that almost solely works on faction and player initiated content. There is a thread in the Requests forum that explains how to request module changes. Work with a DM - the one overseeing the area or (if there isn't one) whichever DM is most convenient for you (and him/her). Put in appropriate amounts of RP for the situation, preferably with the DM in question present in some form or another. Then work with the DM to submit a request. Submitting the request on behalf of your faction is acceptable, as seen in this one for Barak Runedar.

Following these steps, player/faction initiated module changes will be placed on a list and I will be tending to them one by one, first come first serve. When I'm done with each module change, I'll submit it for inclusion in the next update.

That is the ideal setup.

Why are you bugging us, then, instead of working?!

At the start of this venture, I'm going to be both a liaison and a lackey. We're still organizing currently, so I'm reaching out to the playerbase now to see if we've missed anything, before we get too far along and find we skipped people who've been waiting ages for something they completed in-game through RP.

If your faction (or character with lots of initiative) has an outstanding module change request that has been approved by the DM overseeing it, please post here using the following form. If it's uber-secret, PM it to me. All form responses will be verified with the DM you worked with - or the Team as a whole if it was long enough ago that that DM is no longer around. This will allow for quick integration, hopefully!

If you have any questions for this Factionista (I'm using that now), you can post here but I'd prefer you to PM me. The less I have to trudge through to find the forms, the better!

Stay constructive and keep showing initiative, everyone! I wanna see people changing this world constantly. <3

Specific Changes:
A balista tower was built IC, in the southeast corner of the town walls. It has a ground level, and a second level for the balista. Something with a door and transition, taking a character to the second level, would be cool.

Also, the tree outside the walls, in that same corner, was removed for balista targeting.

And, on that same day, a construct/golem was made for Bendir Dale protection.

Thanks, Kudark! I'll get with the Hat as soon as I can. :D

Also, DMs, if you see something in here that has your stamp of approval, you can post that here, too. And if you don't happen to read this then I guess this sentence doesn't matter!

Specific Changes:
Add an idol of Nobanion, in the form of a rearing lion, carved from a block of granite.
The idol was cut, placed, and carved IC, by several characters involved.
Rigela has the screenshots of the exact location (southwest corner of map) or I can send them to you.
I believe Rigela also may have submitted a Request for this in the Dev forum, or wherever that stuff goes behind the scenes.

I would assume the carving is merely a statue now, until it can be Blessed. (which is being worked on IC)

Just finished a bunch of stuff for the dwarf faction. Haven't caught Hudson about the Bendir Dale stuff yet, but will soon hopefully!

Anyone else have anything? I'll keep this open for a while still. And if anything new comes up, post here or let me know in a PM. I'll add you to the bottom of my Verify-With-DM list!

At one point back in my Tarkuul days Gerald led a group down into the Trogledyte warrens to free the kobolds being held as slaves to Tarkuul where they were freed promptly after. This is also apperantly not the only attempt to free these kobolds (the quagmire says there have been at least four events over the years doing this) so I would like to recommend removing the kobolds from the swamp and trog layer entirely. Instead what I would personally recommend, since the kobold NPCs no longer exist in the Amia frontier anyway, is to change them to goblins. Goblins are plentiful, they breed, and they're easy to bully around. This would make the most sense and probably be the easiest to implement because of IC and OOC reasons. Same stats, different race.

You should be able to disable the Kobold spawns by editing the spawn trigger in the pallet.

Specific Changes: Guards attires

I believe House Le'Quella had a project to have the guards wear more fashionable armors, done during two Councils ago... I arranged the armors made, 3 of each type, did part of the work and then it was handed to Amalyth Le'Quella (DireCorbie). As I recall, the armors were presented and accepted by the Council at the time. Will ask DireCorbie to post here her confirmation of the work done or not completed.

I will need more specific changes than just "more fashionable". I will screw that up like no one's business otherwise. >.>

I gave those armors to amarice already, I believe the guards are just awaiting an overhaul now before they're put on.

I have some changes for West Cordor I might poke you with but I don't know if that's off limits or not, so I'll ask Kobra and msheeler about it first.

Faction/Character: Kobolds of the Quagmire / Vuthamolik

Area to Change: Quagmire Caves

DM Contact: LetumLux

Specific Changes:

For the past six months, the Quagmire has been RPly under renovation. Instead of the 'Player Faction' getting their own sub-area, the idea was to revamp the minimalist design of the current Kobold Spawning location (The Quagmire Caves beneath the Red-Tribe/Merc' camp that is two-rooms and two-huts). Retaining it's Kobold-Only design, it'd be a location that any Kobold Character or Future Kobold Faction could utilize. Basically like Winya for Elves, or Bendir for Hin, etc etc. So even though its an update due to a Faction, it's something that even if the current group of Kobolds disappeared, all Kobold players/characters/etc could benefit from it.

It's been on-hold from my understanding to coincide with the Underport's Removal, for RP's Sake.

A rough outline of design is shown in the following link, along with description/etc.

Area to Change: The Former Hill's Books: The Temple of Ilmater

DM Contact: The1Kobra

Specific Changes:

Months ago Gerald approved the restructuring of the old Hill's Books store into a temple to Ilmater in the West. Since then Tuievae has been one of the most active priests on amia as well as one of the most reknown healers in the region and the government on both sides of Cordor have universally agreed to contribute manpower and resources to the building of the Temple. As Teuivae is generally a universally loved and respected figure in Cordor (let alone the whole of amia), Gerald has put this on priority as far as his building projects are concerned.
