DOOOORFS!!!!

Congrats to Haggbjorn and Beck for being approved as citizens and taking their oaths. Today's RP brought back some of the fun we enjoy and have missed. New fellows being welcomed and working hard, glad to have your dorfs with us. And we have a few more on the fringes that could make it as well. *cough* Paperwork folks! *coughs*

And my thanks to my faction mates, and our friends, that continue to show up to the Council meetings. It'll probably never be perfect with myself at the helm, but it's such a cornerstone of the governing and goings on of Barak Runedar. Everyone that attends gets a chance to speak about whatever they have on their minds (usually). Sometimes it takes awhile and I appreciate the those that attend.

Orcs stirring, Moradin knows what lurking in the background this time, bitter and costly victory in the Great War but a victory still, over 400 new kin welcomed due to the war, fresh beards running around busting ass, more plans and projects than you can shake a hammer at. Keep it up! 8)

Okay, I've been around here long enough to have some kudos to throw at people. Yay.

- Kudos to Musashi_O2, Digit3000, and Terallis for not only providing a lot of consistently-great RP, but also convincing me to come back to NWN and play here at all. The former two in particular have answered a lot of OOC questions about the server, as well. I appreciate that very much.

- Kudos to rediculouscowz for being a cool dude to RP with, and very entertaining to talk to, to boot. Keep doin' you.

- Kudos to Ice/Aiss/Enkai/WhateverYourNameIs for being so annoyingly arrogant in-character that it actually fits the copper dragon mentality perfectly. (And by that I mean your character is legitimately pretty interesting and fun to interact with.)

- Kudos to The1Kobra for surprising me. A lot. In about a week, I've roleplayed with a kobold that was a loyal brother in kinship, a seeming traitor to those exact same tribal ways, and a bunch of violently angry, highly prejudiced Cordorian guards. And all of them turned out to be this guy. That's pretty hip.

- Finally, kudos to the elves from last night for a really unexpected but interesting encounter. We hadn't aaactually planned to visit Winya Ravana. But getting hopelessly lost ended up leading into one of those cool chance encounters that wasn't planned, but somehow ended up better that way. (And then the other elves got to be casually speciesist on our way out. Something for everyone! Loved it.)

The incompetence of our crew was hilarious, only matched by our seemingly endless bad luck.

We had rogues that didn't know how to operate traps.
We had clerics that didn't pray.
We had magicians that didn't know basic spells.
In fact;
Our best spellcaster was first a shadowdancer.
Our strongest adventurer was a kobold.
Our wisest member was Maliana.

And it was all directed by Tempo.
...

...

And our carpenter was Theadric. 'Nuff said.

I had a dumb grin for the most part of it. :3

I was incredibly impressed with everyone who attended the event into Shar's living room last night. The longer we were there, the more hopelessness shrouded everyone quite well, and your willingness to portray it accurately was awesome. I remember looking back and seeing a lot less people and really start to worry.

All of you contributed a significant event in Madrik's story. I really appreciate that.

Ayup, totally normal day at the Dauntless. It was fun to see Ais mess with our plans (Maybe making me pull a hair or two out of my head) but hey, 'twas funny!

Props to all involved in that event and a special thanks to LetumLux for running it! :D

List as follows!

Broldi for Theadric Shortwit >.>
SamTheGiantSlayer for Malianus <3
Clockworkings for Allister
Karrados for Nate
PassionateShadow for Tempo
And Dart! (Whatever the player/forum name is... curses, I should know this)

And don't forget Ice and Digit!

Ais. Oh god, Ais.

I never realized the greatness that is Ais in its full glory until this event where we worked very closely. Amazingly hilarious character. Looking forward to more in the future <3

Props to the rest of the Dauntless crew for being awesome all around. Tempo, Nate, and Cyrenie Weenie.

Always a +1 to Broldi who makes most of my RP worthwhile! Especially for the recent influx of adversity for Tee and Mali. Always appreciate your greatness :)

A big thumbs up to RepeatingPast (playing Edarokic) for some remarkably impressive kobold RP earlier today. For someone who had no idea how to play a character of the species before today, you're doing a fantastic job with a surprisingly realistic and sensible character. That was a blast, especially for a simple conversation.

Also, kudos to bobofwestoregonusa (playing Gerald Edmund) for some intriguing political RP as of late, which has doubled as a means to utterly confuse my vehemently anti-human character. Always a pleasure.

As an elf, I ran into a very-well-roleplayed gnome and drowess, and instead of nonsense combat, lots of great fun roleplay ensued! Sincere thank yous to Ilhuldur Sveidt the gnome and Zar'riia the drow! Sorry if I misspell your names.

I like Amia.

Oh, Rith'ar. Much deserved praise to MazeOfThorns who hasn't ceased to turn relatively quiet encounters into fun stuff. You are the sort of player that can turn roleplaying in front of a boulder fun, and our last interaction was both intriguing and hilarious. Your emotes are vivid, your style is consistent and Rith'ar is a delightfully treacherous drow that always makes me wonder what exactly he's trying to achieve and whether he's being manipulative or (hah hah, sure) sincere.

A special mention to Ais. He's the perfect example of how a downright silly character can be played in his own right, without being in any way superficial or lacking depth. I find Ais endlessly amusing (sometimes endlessly frustrating) even though we both know he has the mettle to be a tragic hero, as well as the reasons to.

If I may, I'd like to thank a few more players for making my early days so much fun!

Hysvear the kobold has been a great source of roleplay in all aspects, describing most every detail with the kind of fun attention that makes it a joy to be with him. Also, his friend Qyaraxus!

Hadia and Jovianne for putting up with my odd character, and Kalevayus Hart for helping a new character out with directions in a very fun and helpful way.

Thank you for taking me under your wing.

There are a few honorable valiants that deserve a place in this list... but screw them. Ain't nobody got time foh dat.

I've been more than pleased with the scaly crew that arrived lately, but two names are a must in this thread.
Those are Digit_3000, again, as Thesekar Blackfang, and Tyrak, as Krel'xiekiv.
Want it or not, Tyrak, certain lizard is going to keep his funny eyes on your character.

And I can't just go out without mentioning our (friendly?) Mystery Clock! I don't know how you do it, but you do it, and I want m0ar of that.

Mystery you have created an amazing character. Sif, that charming, funny and frightening tiefling that is scarier than a Priestess of Lolth -- and let me tell you after experiencing Mimirons Miz'ri, that's damn hard to do. Who knew a happy Sif would be the most blood chillingly scary, Sif!

I'll say it now while we're IG together.. Ghost (floaty name Trik) is always a pleasure to RP with, he already sticks out as a unique pc to me when so many are still monster fighting. He has no problem hanging even if he has nothing to "gain." His shyness is endearing, and Sonya Ravenblood made a great partner in crime teasing him.

**Edited to add Emrakiel. He is FAAAAAB-ULOUUUUUUUS. Love a PC who makes me smile behind the screen.

Guys and Gals, the Council's discussion and RP on the social and religious implications of a certain choice/decision was outstanding RP. A bunch of stubborn thick headed dwarves arguing their ideals and perceptions of scripture and the gods and how to best implement them within the population, how's it right, how's it wrong, how will these decisions effect these kin directly, and the populace as a whole indirectly.. Thank you, you all make playing a dwarf and being your High Councilor addicting and always a good time. :D

Derrin (AnalogKid) - Nice to have you back IG man!
Sion (Spinx) - I wonder if these two will ever find any sort of footing with each other.
Scholar (Galenson) - Ohhh I have missed you! Sorry to make you work so hard :P
Alanna - I really hope they have a conversation about how Alanna 'left', boy won't that be fun? The supplies were so thoughtful!
And the incomparable MazeOfThorns!

Mother of mercy, that was awesome.

I have to give a big shut-out for Nymph69, playing Hork here! (Hork, Hork!) Few have the guts to play a character like you, and I tip my hat to you, good sir.
Clock. Clock Clock Clock Clock tic tac mysterious Clock. Your rat of unwrittable name is one of the best things that ever happened to this server.
And oh gods Revak. I didn't need those sides anyway, but tossing the a construct by the name of Fluff was overkill.
Cook nicely for twenty minutes, let it rest, and then mix in a blender all that together with my lizard and you have pure chaos that outmatches the five million dollar trailers of your latest epic movie.
DELICIOUS.

Going to have to give a thumbs up to. . . Lescinsky.

Dealing with my kobold behind such a large language barrier has been great fun.
I hope to spend plenty more hours trying to figure out the common name for the chicken Lylliath gave Karif. One day. One day. The kobold will be able to say chicken.

I owe many thanks to the following people for making RP exciting and fun for the last few weeks (and some I may have missed):
Nym
Nya
Glen
Ren
Teddy (Ember)
The folks Fee drank with in The Nomad when she was feeling down
Raina
Crow
Mal
and last, but certainly not least, Dee!

Fee has gone in many new directions, some she would never had imagined had she not met some of the above mentioned folks! Thanks for the fun RP!

Shout outs to all of you who were a part of Sion's event as well as those who have been interacting with Miz'ri!

A little shout out to ShadowRayne on Borgar Shield-Shatter. Us druidly types would have stopped to engage in the raccoon curiosity, but a suspicious kobold got our attention. XD

Borgar and the raccoon did cause some funny whispers though, hehe.

A nice shout-out to all of those involved in the hilarity that occurred with Tyrak's character, Aldriano, last night. These people being Ocelus, pieman102, Neve, Ziggy, and, of course, Tyrak. Made for a TON of laughs. ^_^

yep. kudos to ziggy for going along with this ridiculousness. and yeah, that was a ton of fun, thanks to all involved.

Speaking of cool gatherings, I'd also like to give props to the people involved in this:

Little meeting happened with the Quagmire Tribe and it was kind of awesome. So, props to digit3000, Musashi_O2, rediculouscowz, Keycross, and The1Kobra for a really interesting series of events. The unexpected arrival of the ever-controversial Xzelric was particularly fun, as was Vuthamolik's sudden intervention in the ensuing conflict.

All-in-all, great stuff that I was really glad to be a part of! Thanks guys.

Kudos to Ahriman and nihilus for the stuff as well. These things are the most fun when you've got people to do it with.

Just had to say something about storytime with Alister in the Merchant Hall today.

Nicely done even with all the interruptions by you know who. Well done and good help at fleshing out my new character Z'nea by In'Ei, Taris, Ferris and of course Alister.

Looking forward to more!
