Hello all, and thank you for any information on this question.

I have heard of many Elves from Amia leaving to go to Evermeet. While that alone is fine, and makes some sense, the next part is what troubles me.

It's been my understanding that Evermeet is on Faerie, which is a different plane of existence from the Prime Material. Given this and what I have experienced of FR lore, I assumed going to Evermeet was a one way trip. As in, that's the final destination of an elf, they go there when they are "tired of the world". They don't come back, at least generally they don't. I've been hearing people claiming to have visited Evermeet, people who lived there and came back to Amia, etc. I'd like clarification, I'm not trying to single anyone out, nor am I wishing to be RP police, more I wish to know for myself, what is appropriate and possible for my character to do or not do.

Thank you!

-B

We still use third edition lore, so Evermeet has yet to flee to Faerie, as that happened when fourth edition rolled around I believe.

So it's an island and one can go and come back?

Well, elves can, yes. It's off West from the sword coast too, if I remember correctly.

Gotcha.... Since 3E goes to 1376, it went to another plane in 1479 (I think?), so, yeah, that makes sense. Thank you!

Final destination of elfs is actually Arvador as well, if I remember correctly. Evermeet is simply put another elven kingdom on Forgotten Realms. When elfs pass away, they go to Arvador where they join their loved ones and the Seldarine.

It's Arvandor, sometimes called Arborea, where each of the Seldarine maintain a realm on this plane.
