Still, though, sounds like you can have a familiar, companion, summon, and dominated monster/undead. Perhaps even a Empathey'ed animal (doubt it, probably counts as a dominated one). So four or five things running around after you lol
Oh, and a bottled companion!

Do we completely disregard Toril's timeline of events, or is it more just a selective process? (i.e. Keeping the Drow Pantheon intact) Also relevant, since it's 1382 on Amia, should we expect The Spellplague in three years?

The answer to these mysteries and more can be found here: http://www.amiaworld.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=111&t=67024I quote: " The following timeline presents some notable events in the history of canon Forgotten Realms alongside some notable events in the history of Amia. Amia is set in the Forgotten Realms, and follows the setting's official history until the end of year 1373. All canon lore up to that point applies to Amia, unless the DM Team specifically states otherwise. No canon lore after 1373 applies to Amia, unless the DM Team specifically states otherwise. The Spellplague has not happened, gods have not died, Myth Drannor has not been restored, etc. The current state of some unfinished business is described at the end of the timeline." Oh and the drow one here: http://www.amiaworld.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=73575&hilit=timeline

Good digging! Although it's interesting that that two-year-old thread states current year then was 1374, which would make it now 1376. It seems like something happened in the last two years for us to skip time to 1382, which is the year that it was agreed to be in the Lore forum recently.

I'm not sure the answer to that one. I remember it was there somewhere in the lore forums and something to do with a clerical error which meant skipping a year or so in the timeline.

Could some friendly DM who happens by edit the top line in the last post in that thread to read the current year as 1382 DR?

I believe anything that paves the way into 4th edition will not be used in Amia's timeline, which I think means just about every event after 1373.

There are some cool things about 4e Lore. I kinda like the tragic divorce of the Triad, the death of Mystra, Azuth being thrown into the Astral Sea and the grand rise of Asmodeus. I like the idea of Cyric's imprisonment and the madman's boiling rage while chained to this Throne, fueling the actions of his followers like never before. I like the idea of the collapse of the Weave and its replacement by the older, pre-Weave form of hedge magic, even if the reason behind it leaves a very bad taste in my mouth (the dumbing down of the core game mechanics to reduce it to a card game masquerading as a tabletop game). The spellplague's effects are interesting, but overdone, and the loss of certain NPCs is crap. The effects on the geography is catastrophic, but not in a good or interesting way, I think. But hey, I don't make those decisions.

The way neverwinter nights is made when raising terrain in the toolset you can only make steps, not huge smooth sided clifs. Now these steps about about two and a half times the size of a human.
My question is, can they be climbed in game with supervision of a DM and under what conditions would this be allowed, if possible. (please say no)

If you go into 'features' in the terrain painter, you should find a tile called 'ramp', place this on the raised ground.

I'm asking when confronted with such an elivation in game if its possible to climb it in some role play dm superviced fashion.

That's just some old compilation timeline from before my time even. (The latter of the two, I mean.) I think maybe Jen made it? Could have been copied from some offsite source, too. It's just been reposted several times without update in R&L revamps. Most of the R&L posts are like that; I reposted and edited a lot of them when we originally came up with the dual structure (with Varia added later), and I think there's been two rounds of renovation after that, one of them due to the hack attack.

What does damage reduction +5/5 mean? From what I've been able to find does it mean that the first 5points of damange from any weapon up to and including +5 get ignored? And is this +5echantment or +5attack weapons? Also how many powers is this with the crafting system?

+5 enchantment or attack bonus won't be negated, the first 5 physical damage of lower will though. I believe it's one power, but not sure/

How do Elemental Immunities stack?
For example, I have two things giving me 50% DR to Fire, does it add together for 100% or is one applied and then the other for 75%?

It works the same way with vulnerabilities, 50% vulnerability combined with 50% immunity would put you at 0%. http://nwn.wikia.com/wiki/Immunity

So it only counts the highest immunity %, then subtracts any vulnerabilities if there are any?

Thanks for the reply's. I decided to go with Gimp as i have used it in the past and am a lil familiar with it. Was wondering how do i convert a Gimp .xcf file into a .tga file?

You can use paint.net actually. Rather useful tool to see and work with all types of graphical files (including TGA and DDS if need be). It is easy to install, and works almost as very basic version of photoshop (though free one). You can download it here. http://www.getpaint.net/P.S. Just taken a look at GIMP, probably can be useful to, though never worked with it before, as for your second question - I hope this will help - http://registry.gimp.org/node/17210You can then use ingame NWN command (command is "ConvertPortrait" - just push "~" to open console command then type "Con" in the line in the upper left corner, and press TAB - that should be enough) to convert JPEG picture that is located in your NWN/portraits folder into range of *.tga pictures that can be selected right thereafter through character creation.

*cue angery rant here + * its kind of pointless to choose a god if you don't plan on firmly staying with it as this can happen. Why bother with a god if you can't even pray to its idol at least decently easy or switch a god via RP reasons? Most of the time i just don't care since i get the same answer Dead gave.
last time i was forced to ask in game i was slaughtered by 6 warknights.. as a level 3 xD so i gave up on finding idols or never bother with 'god' stuff.

It's IC knowledge, sure, but it's common knowledge. "Find out IC" is the appropriate answer for things that actually take some effort IC to find out. For stuff that would be known by any random person wandering down any random street... not so much.

'common' knowledge or not, we certainly don't know it and its literally stupid to ask IG as instantly you give away your god. And since there there is no way of actively lying to someone, usually they just kill you if they don't like it.

Unless you decline PvP cause, you know, that's in the rules.
And yes, idol locations (unless they are supposed to be secret) can be shared on the forums. It's stupid to say you have to ask IC because what if no one knows IC? You're just screwed?

Idols are an antiquated holdover of a largely obsolete system anyway. That said Talos's idol is in a god-awful area which might have actually been blocked off in a recent update. You're better off asking a DM for a deity change.
