He's had them for ages. One was for him playing on the surface and the other for him playing drow, I think. Can't answer why, though, Svensk will have to step in and answer that.

I've never been able to make sense of why anyone has need for multiple accounts. So, I'm a bit curious too actually. Not just to pick on one person, but maybe some insight as to why would help me understand others....?
I was on a server before where it was a banable offense to have multiple accts, and I rather liked the idea.

I don't encourage the practice, but there are some benefits to it. People are clever and will metagame your PC based upon their knowledge of the player, or their knowledge of what they think the player knows. But an unknown player is a wild card for the incidental metagamer.
Contrary to popular belief, two accounts (one for each PC) helps keep rp apart and causes a lot less confusion then one account for several pcs.
Muspelkvist (now called very_svensk) was for the drow Very_svensk (now called mobile_svensk) was for hashim.
Yet since we're all human, and humans err - they mixed up and key info was shared between both. Luckily this has been solved! The mobile_svensk account will no longer be used an most of the information there transferred.
IF you can pull it off - I'd actually recommend having one account for each PC.

If you can handle it then go for it! But I realised after a year that it's a duble-edged sword. I think I needed the exotic weapon profiency before I took two-bladed weapons focus!

Also, Svensk, you're probably right that it confuses people (I've never asked) and it's probably not hard to change it all (I've never tried). Hence the reason I'm hijacking your name thread for ideas for my new name, though, duh, so submit yours quick!

Sometimes you just need a break from your account and how people perceive said account. I had two forum accounts in the past for that reason: I wanted to prove my diversity in characters without being typecast for my previous characters or opinions.
Svensk did the same thing, except with one major difference: he didn't hide it.
I love how different I would get treated on my alternate accounts
