I do recall you having an interesting thing on your drow bard. I'm not sure if you actually got it or were just thinking about it, but I do remember you talking about it. I would like to see that getting around somewhere.
1) By default is the portraits folder empty? I seem to have tga's in there for some reason.
2) Should my localvault folder hold copies of my characters? I have recent ones in there, and I do not recall saving them at all, so I'm confused. I know we are on a server vault but I don't want to delete them just in case something gets screwed up by doing so?

Portraits folder is empty on install, yep. Portrait packs, including ours, go in there to make them available for creating PCs. If you put the portraits into overrides folder instead, you can see them when other characters use them, but can't choose them yourself on char creation.
And be very selective in what portraits you put in the Portraits folder. If you dump the whole portrait pack there, there is a chance your game will crash on creation. (It does on mine at least)
Yeah I usually just dump the pack in the override, no idea what's with the file sin the portraits folder... DELETE

Item Merging: All shapes now merge every equipment slot, with the exception of wyrmlings and dragons: they only merge armor.
... But trying Minotaur, Harpy, and Gargoyle, it doesn't say any of my equipment merges. I have regeneration rings, no regeneration applies either. What's up?
Edit: After testing, all the undead shapes also work EXCEPT for Spectre, which is troublesome.
Equip a weapon before shifting, or stuff won't merge. I tested that with harpy. Merges with a weapon on, doesn't without a weapon.
Oh man. The character doesn't use weapons!
On top of this as a quickie: If I have +5 AC on boots, necklace, armor, etc, will it override a lower-level shifter's bonus AC for dodge/deflection/etc? I read something about it before but with all the changes it's starting to get confusing. I know more than one instance of stats don't stack, and regen does...
Try equipping a sling with no bullets, pretend it's just a piece of cloth, lol

Then Alt-Enter to switch between full and windowed.
If you already have a Display Options section in it, add what's below that above.. below that. The disable movies is there to increase your available sanity.

This seems fairly intentional, so I'll post it here instead of the bugs thread in IA; but why can't my Cleric (with Scribe Scroll feat) cast Storm of Vengeance on a blank scroll? And is there also a list of spells that can't be scribed or crafted into scrolls/wands?

Its been a while since I played on my monstrous character but I am considering dusting off the old Ogre type and eating some children and stuff
Nearly two years ago I made an exploratory request post regarding the size and or reskinning of a character at the time I was told a character can not be resized as such but that a skin can be chosen. In my case I had the potential option of the Ogre skins that the game contains but the limits on them were that they were not customizable and would not show weapons and armour being worn and so on and so I did not pursue the matter further.
I heard that certain dragons and the like have been able to be shrunk is some fashion and so the question I wish to ask is if this is true has there been a way around whatever limits there were two years ago, could I now potentially have a characters size increased but in all other graphical regards it still be the same avatar?
I had made the toon look as large and imposing as possible with body type and armour crafting but if there is now the ability to actually graphically be made larger this would be splendid.
I didn't want to perform any thread necropsy on my old request post I thought this might be the best first port of call.
Dynamic models cannot change their size. If you have a static model, and if it is supported on the tail list, then it can be resized.
Thank you for the reply, by dynamic models you mean the normal avatars any character gets by default which will show your armours, helmets, weapons and so on?
And by static model you mean for example the npc ogre skin like the one used in Kempos? This is the skin that could potentially be used for a PC and then made bigger or smaller?
Also what is the "tail list" is that a module building term or is there an actual list on the forums somewhere with resizable skins?
Yes, dynamic model is a model that can be changed, and static is just a plain model that cannot be affected visually by armor, helmet etc.
The way resizing works is that you select an Invisible Creature model (with % of the size you want) and then add it a tail. Here, instead of a regular tail you can select a number of static models. I think Ogres are supported.
Yes, as is every other AoE spell that doesn't specifically state you're not affected.

How is it with dispelling potions, particularly lesser mind blank? We were at ithilids, they dispelled almost all buffs from lvl 22 caster, but lvl9 lesser mind blank from a potions was left untouched.
ECL 24 character with 24 fighter levels drinks a potion, the potion is set to CL 24 for dispel purposes (duration is whatever the potion CL is still). ECL 24 character with 23 fighter levels and 1 caster level drinks a potion, the potion is set to CL 1 for vs dispel.
Yeah, Bioware screwed it up. I think it works for wands and scrolls, too, but can't be certain.

Hmm, interesting. But still I would imagine they would dispell it. I have ECL = CL = 22 (pure caster) and I got dispelled. Would potion take my CL in this case? But it didn't got dispelled anyway as other my spells.
Yeah the way potions work is they take on your total class level as CL, unless you have caster levels then it takes the highest caster class level. But not everything gets dispelled at once, so it was just luck of the draw that you kept the potion effects.

Is there an FTP server for uploading pictures of dice rolls and RP scenes for developing custom spells? I have at least 60 so far and many more on the way.

Makes it easier for you, but more work for the DMs to open it and look at it :p
Imgur is the best middle-ground. Make an album and post it, less work than copy-pasting all the images in and less work for the DMs to open and extract a zip.

Using imgur, you can post a single link on the forum which leads to an album of images. If you wanted to make a few separate groups of screenshots, make different albums and post each of the links.
I have a custom portrait I'd like to get into the next upload. I'm sure I can handle the process itself, but how do I find the portrait I'm using? I assume there's a file buried somewhere with my character's info.
The filenames of the .tga files that make up your portrait are written in your character file, but the game doesn't come with a way for you to see them. You need to go to the nwvault and get LETO or some such utility, in order to open your character in such a way as to be able to access the portrait name.

Is the limit of three classes imposed by the game itself a hard limit in regards to emulating classes? As in, if my character already has three classes used to approximate the abilities of a prestige class not supported by Neverwinter Nights, will I have to drop one in order to say I am of the class I wish to emulate in order to fit the three class limit?

Can't break three classes, so either drop one if none is going to emulate the PrC you want or just use one of the ones you already have.

I have a niggling suspicion that it defaults your potion caster level to [sum of your classes] until you cast your first spell, at which point the server sets the dispel check to the potion CL for the rest of that reset interval. In the case of the mindflayers, that might as well be 1.
Needs further testing. Arcane Archers are probably best to comment, since they are most likely to go entire reset intervals without ever casting any of their own spells. How do you folk find the Illithid dispelling?
I'll go one further, I play a character with 1 Wiz in their build.
I think your suspicion is right, because their dispels don't get rid of any potions I drink or scrolls I cast, I may go potentially suicide at Illithids and cast a cantrip before fighting.

xDDs are another candidate because normally they only have 1 or 2 caster levels.

Bottled companions are NPCs which can be summoned by a PC. Think of them as a custom summon, but with an unlimited duration and no fighting ability. You will probably want a bottled companion over a Summon Reskin when you desire a humanoid NPC with customisable clothing and appearance.
Couldn't find this answered elsewhere on the forums. Can you recustomize your bottled companion's clothing/armor whenever you want, or only the first time?
