To whom it may concern,

Regarding the recent incident in the woods, where I, the merchant known as Azu, and my coworker and fellow merchant Sakhr, were attacked at our campsite in the forests of Amia;

Seemed a day passed in peace, as we set up camp and made some deals, a profitable endeavor we enjoyed the sights and sounds of the woods and the curious little critters that would stop by our encampment. A delightful spot to set up shop for the travelers to partake in and enjoy.

However this was abruptly ended with violence when the one called 'Crow', if that is his real name, decided to prepare spells in a hostile fashion in the middle of our, previously peaceful, encampment. We told him to stop casting, and he ignored our warnings, without speaking a word he continued his battle preparations with bloodthirsty wolf in toe close behind him. A battle then ensued and he was stopped for a time with various disabling spells, and then he struck another as the spell faded. A traveler who happened to go by, finally put him down as was his right as Crow had indeed attacked him.

Sadly, there is more to this grim tale, others then amassed in numbers, it seems word got out about Crow's falling. More attacked us, right and left, one of them threw a Hellball at us in the woods and such force was replied in kind, all of those who sought us harm were brought down.

We would prefer this sort of, disruption, not occur upon our business encampments, and thereby do ask that the people involved stop showing such hostility against us simple businessmen. However, let it be known, that we shall act in self defense of our lives and our property.

Also,
p.s. We're currently hiring bodyguards due to the increased demand! So if you're interested please leave word below at Kampo's and I shall get back to you with a time to meet for an interview.

Trade as Thou Wilt,

-Azu

A hooded figure, carrying a dagger in one hand reads the notice and adds..

Let it be known that the one known as Crow is a danger to himself and the hin he claims to protect.
I have observed on many occasions Crows hostile action towards travelers in Bendir Dale and the surrounding roads.
Such behavior is polar opposite to the usual welcoming nature of all other members of the village.
It is also known that he claims to be a member of the Bendir Dale Military. But his actions recently and as outlined in this notice have cost the blood of at least two hin.
Why a grown man would join a a military service of a small hin village is not entirely known. Perhaps he lacks the wit or strength that more demanding jobs require (He certainly lacks wit and does not understand common courtesy, both have seen him dealt with severely in recent days). Or he may have more sinister motives. Or it may be that the hin were the only ones willing to take him in and offer him paid work. I do not blame the man for working at the best job he can get. But he has a poor way of repaying the faith shown in him.

Bendir Dale would be wise to turn him away before he soils the reputation of the Village further. Crow has angered many and it would not be wise for anyone to be linked with him.

*Crow sees the note and shakes his head with a chuckle. He pauses and ponders, then pens a note of his own*

I don't normally respond to outright lies like this, but I'm in a mood for it, so feel blessed.

History:
The man Quickdraw had assaulted myself and a druid, with the aid of the mage Sakhr, the day before this incident, for placing unpermitted signs in the forest.
The mage Azu assaulted me in Bendir Dale, after I made myself known to him, and explained the rules of the forest and Bendir, regarding the use of red dragon form.

Regarding the incident:
I entered the forest from Bendir Dale to see a large camp, and multiple signs (both of which are not permitted in the forest), and recognized the two mages, Sakhr, and Azu. I drew my blade and casted some defensive spells upon myself, as they had both previously been involved in hostilities to Oakmist Vale members, and I approached Sakhr to speak with him. I never got a word out of my mouth, he immediately ran from me and Azu cast the Time Stop, after which, the two of them continued to barrage me with offensive spells. A traveler had come by, and attacked me in the spelled state I was in, and during a moment of clarity I defended myself, and swung at the traveler. The two mages continued their assault until the darkness enveloped my soul.
I was informed that Azu was the one who flung the hellballs in the forest.

1) You don't tell me not to cast in my own home, ever.
2) You don't assault Oakmist Vale members, and then expect to be handed flowers.
3) You may conduct business transactions in the forest, as long as the rules are followed.
4) Campsites in the forest are limited to one tent, and a small fire that is not to be left unattended. This is proclaimed by Malandria, Great Druid of Amia.
5) Quickdraw, Sakhr, and Azu are hereby banned from the forest.
6) Anyone who aids them against Oakmist Vale members will be dealt with accordingly. Oakmist Vale will not stand for these assaults, and will react with swift and lethal action. *Crow notes the name listed*
7) You do not cast hellballs in the forest.

~~Crow
Ranger Captain of Oakmist Vale
Bendir Dale citizen and Militia member

A human chuckles at all of the notices, and takes down Crow's in order to fold it up and tuck it away in a pocket.

Quote:
I don't normally respond to outright lies like this, but I'm in a mood for it, so feel blessed. Arrogant, insulting, it 'feels' like your ego just threw up all over the notice board.

His-story:
The man Quickdraw had assaulted myself and a druid, with the aid of the mage Sakhr, the day before this incident, for placing unpermitted signs in the forest???. ....Oh so because someone placed up a wooden signs in the middle of the woods, you resort to deadly force to correct this infraction? Because you didn't approve of the sign? ..sounds like a tyrant in truest form.

The mage Azu assaulted me in Bendir Dale, after I made myself known to him, and explained the rules of the forest and Bendir, regarding the use of red dragon form. Actually you were attempting to instruct a magi in the ways and use of magic, as a non-magical person, which I found most amusing. I told you that I would not bow my will nor my magic to your demands upon my person. I then attempted to walk away, using timestop to gain distance and you chased after me, firing arrows at me, so I then turned around and put you in the ground, again. Such was your doing. You do not rule over all you see, and I do not give you the right nor jurisdiction. You say you live in the area, well so do I as I spend much time along my trade routes that you now disrupt.

Regarding the incident:
I entered the forest from Bendir Dale to see a large camp, and multiple signs (both of which are not permitted in the forest), by tyrannical dictate, and recognized the two mages, Sakhr, and Azu. I drew my blade and casted some defensive spells upon myself, as they had both previously been involved in hostilities to Oakmist Vale members, you mean you, due to your past hostilities against us where we acted in self-defense. and I approached Sakhr to speak with him. I never got a word out of my mouth, correct you said nothing, just prepared for battle and ignored our warnings, in the middle of our camp, which was taken as a hostile action and dealt with accordingly with disabling spells, he immediately ran from me no he didn't, actually I think it was his spell to disable you, and Azu cast the Time Stop, after which, the two of them continued to barrage me with offensive spells. A traveler had come by, and attacked me in the spelled state I was in, and during a moment of clarity I defended myself, and swung at the traveler. The two mages continued their assault until the darkness enveloped my soul. As previously stated, the traveler finished you off because you attacked him.

1) You don't tell me not to cast in my own home, ever. You threatened us with your actions, you got the result, and for future reference don't tell us magi what to cast or not cast for you know nothing of the ways of magic.
2) You don't assault Oakmist Vale members, and then expect to be handed flowers. You assaulted us, threatened us, we merely responded to your actions.
3) You may conduct business transactions in the forest, as long as the rules are followed. Such is not your jurisdiction to limit people's business. Mind your own business.
4) Campsites in the forest are limited to one tent, and a small fire that is not to be left unattended. This is proclaimed by Malandria, Great Druid of Amia. The great tyrant perhaps in her tyrannical edicts and proclaimations did declare you can't have any camping provisions or means of doing business outside of one tent, and one campfire? Ridiculous, who puts up with this tyranny?
5) Quickdraw, Sakhr, and Azu are hereby banned from the forest. You are hereby banned from our campsites and from our business operations until you pay for damages done against ourselves and our company.
6) Anyone who aids them against Oakmist Vale members will be dealt with accordingly. Oakmist Vale will not stand for these assaults, and will react with swift and lethal action. *Crow notes the name listed* Anyone who seeks us harm is hereby warned we shall act in self-defense and bring down those who threaten us, as we have done already on this occasion.
7) You do not cast hellballs in the forest. Do not have your followers cast them in our direction, and we shall see to it they are not returned in kind.

~~Crow A person
Ranger Captain of Oakmist Vale ..a nearly non-existent druid grove with three or so lesbians and one ranger.
Bendir Dale citizen and Militia member ...you're not even a hin, this one doesn't even make sense.

--*another letter attached*--

Let it be known,

1. The company shall not tolerate attacks upon its personnel or property.
2. The company shall not bend knee to a fallen tyrannical ranger.
3. The company shall not, hence forth, permit Crow to participate in it's business transactions nor tournaments.
4. The company hereby demands payment of no less than One Million Coins, to end hostilities and lift these bans toward Crow. Until such a sum is paid, Crow is deemed an enemy of the company.

Trade as Thou Wilt,

-Azu

Complete and utter bullshit! Everyone that came from Bendir Dale was unaware the murders where still there. We came to raise the body of Crow, a Bendir Dale Honorary Citizen, Warden of Oakmist Vale, and Bendir Dale Militia member. They would not allow us to remove Crow from the situation, instead saying that they needed to interagate him. When that proved to difficult, trying to extorting money for his corpse so he might be raised, then having laid deadly traps near the beginning of the forest, murdering Beldor, threatening others so all who'd came on a simple mission of mercy where unenchanted, and unarmed, then THESE MURDERING SCUMBAGS used Hell Ball on a innecent passing by Hin who refused to drop his enchantments (faced by two heavily enchanted and aggressive magi who could blame him)effectively killing 7 people that where in no way threatening in any way. We wanted only to leave with Crow, and I wasn't going to simply allow you to take him for "interegation" as you called it, just a nice word for torture you sadistic bastards. Shaded ended up paying these males blood money so they would leave the corpses of the people they had murdered in peace so we could all be returned to our families and communities.
We would prefer this sort of, disruption, not occur upon our business encampments, and thereby do ask that the people involved stop showing such hostility against us simple businessmen. However, let it be known, that we shall act in self defense of our lives and our property.

A note is pinned below the others.

Sakhr and Azu are so evil! They retaliated when our mob went in force to try and hurt them! We should gather another mob and go after them! If that doesn't work, we can just keep spreading rumors!

Another note, but nothing like the others.

I witnessed the whole thing. Just a big group of bloodthirsty maniacs looking for any chance they had to go after a pair of scholars who defended themselves. Someone should do something about the crazy adventurers of the island!

A rather large note is left up with these other notices, the handwriting is small and very proper, obviously very practiced from a formally educated hand of a rather well educated individual of the small folk.

The thick, multiple-page posting is prefaced with a cover sheet: "Not for the eyes of children or individuals seeking to focus on work!"

Quote:
I saw it all, I did!

Sakhr and Azu. Quite the pair! Long time business partners, traders. Practiced wizards, both come from the same academy of magic, where even as lithe young lads they shared the same room. Together they had grown into manhood, learned the secrets of the arcane arts, performed many experiments... Of many kinds. Traders, wizards. Men of learning. Partners... In more ways than they let on to those outside the company, but appearances must be preserved for posterity.

Winter in Amia forest is cold, the two traders brought here when cast out by the wicked and accusatory stares of the small folk. Their little eyes and canny minds saw too much, comprehended too much. But here they were alone. Business was slow as the billboards didn't bring in much trade from the meager foot traffic through the Amia forest. They were alone, huddled by their fire, sitting together to share warmth of flame... And of a barely concealed passion! They were in hostile territory and they knew it. As they held their hands over the campfire to work some warmth into their fingers they each could only lightly fondle their throbbing staves, each holding in check a long overdue discharge of raw arcane power... No, no... Hostile territory. More hostile than they knew, for outside the heated glow of their fires and the comfort of their tent (they told no one that the second tent was where they kept their wares and little else... The nights were cold after all!) a wolf pack of two lurked...

Crow, stalwart defender of these cold and quiet woods, champion of the nearby Dale of the clever small folk. A paragon amongst rangers, a dark man, as rugged and virile as the great alpha wolf that loped beside his every step. With each move he made his tight leathers creaked slightly across his powerful form, but so skilled was he that it sounded as no more than a rustle of leaves in the cold winter breeze. Crow had spotted the mages as they shyly inched closer to one another: For warmth they would later tell one another... Crow plunged a hand into his quiver, drawing out a long shaft. His bow was tightly strung, maybe it had been too long since he'd drawn it... These so called "traders" were his this night! There would be no escape!

[...]

From there this testimony only spiraled downwards. Much is made of magics of a forceful hand variety; the wild and untamed passion of the power of nature; of throbbing arcane staffs; and of how Quickdraw's nom de plume has nothing to do with his sword skills. Bystanders would come by, and become embroiled in this torrid affair. Other rangers would find the scene to stroke their beards and cluck their tongues... Yet be strangely unable to look away. Of course something topical would be put in, for it to truly be a tale for the times! Three pages are taken up by the brave Cordorian Patriot's speech against the evils of adventuring cads! All in all the testimony would go on to the length of three full, steamy chapters and conclude with a hellball explosion... Of passion!

The last lines would read simply:

"This is my testimony of the entirety of the events of this incident: Do not listen to other testimonies for they are made of lies, the reality was so much saucier!"

Please do not give power and money to our new slavers. If you bought from them before or plan to I will make the same items for cheaper if I can. If they open a tournament and you want to join please don't. We can start the same in another place. Remember folks the last time we had people killing other people to sell them for coin it was slavers we don't need those on the rise again.

P.S. The could be merchants from Amn as well.
