Apologies for potentially posting in the wrong place, but I'm really stuck on this quest.
I make it all the way through Golan Mur, fight the Mad Gnome's battle Armor... and still can't find the damned Golem Heart for the quest. From the notes and journals scattered about, I get it that there is a hidden room somewhere, but even with a search of 34 I still couldn't find it.
Could someone please point me in the general direction of where to look for the hidden room? Is it in the small bedroom off the last chamber (where the battle armor is?), or in the chamber with the battle armor? Maybe off the small hallway that connects the forge map with the last chamber? Because I feel as if I have searched everywhere. And what in the world and am I supposed to do with the Daedalus's Rage dire maul that the battle armor drops?
Finally, completely unrelated question: where can one find +4 items?

+4 Items are for endgame tier monsters, ECL 24-30 ones I believe (Don't shoot me I'm no dev).
And god damn I've been looking for an answer for this for so long, I'd be happy to know where the heart is too.

You have the kill the mini-boss golem in the last room ... the one that has a buggy spawn, I have been told.

mini-boss? Last room? You mean the Battlesuit right?
I've literally only encountered the same few monsters from start to finish and I've run this around 35~ times.

I can't remember the name of it, last time I did it was over a year ago, but I believe so yeah. The hardest since mob spawn, so guessing yeah the battlesuit. I thought the heart was a loot from that... maybe I'm wrong :/

It spawns in a place around, just got to look for it. It's not overly hidden either, if it's from what I think it is, but it does require a little bit of going off the direct path.

It's still in Glorag Mur. Picked one up a few weeks ago. Not hard to find if you are thorough. It doesn't spawn every time however.

Bookmarked so I can fix that. Going to make it a % chance mini-boss on each regular spawn trigger similar to how the Carrion Crawlers are in the new sewers. This way it's still "not always there" but a far greater chance of encountering it as you progress through the dungeon.

There's no hidden room that I'm aware of in that dungeon.

but....but.... the notes in the bedroom say he (the Mad Gnome) hid something in a room for malfunctioning constructs.
So I guess we are still talking boss spawn in order to get the heart.
Gonna run throguh it again, see if any other boss spawns besides the battle armor.

Ok, just ran through it again, and no second boss spawned, only the battle armor.

Immediately after entering the dungeon, hang a left. If he's not to the side in the very first room, give up and cry. He spawns exceedingly rarely.

Last time I attempted this quest it took me nearly a full day of grinding that dungeon to get the spawn. Good luck.

Cool! thanks for the visual aid, that is very helpful. EDIT: running the dungeon now, but still no boss spawn  EDIT2: FINALLY got the spawn (with some help  but now I'm noticing the mechanized guardians (the headless suits of armor) have a true-seeing effect up, and the mechanized constructs with the dire mauls are hitting with 'slow' effects.

The fix for this is going to have to wait a bit. The dungeon uses older scripts than any of the other dungeons I've seen so the spawn triggers aren't even set up the same. This will pretty much mean an overhaul of all the spawn groups and rather than doing it twice potentially (again when I get to that point in the quest progression work) I'll just do it once at that time.
So, for now, instead of changing it to a %chance mini-boss, I've just upped the percentage of it spawning in that same spot.
