Would say 2013 is 1381. There's an error in the official timeline. I am lazy and never got around to forwarding the details to whoever is currently in charge of it (don't know), but we just jumped over a year by accident. (Edit: sent the stuff to Dusty to pass along.)
And yeah, I nowadays use whatever the real date is, converted to Realms-speak.

And some people have been using the correct 1381 date. Either way some people will have to edit their work, so we may as well stick with what the actual date is.
To clarify for those who haven't looked into it: there was an accidental jump in 2011/2012 where most of the events that really happened in 2011 were recorded under 1380, leaving 1379 (the correct year) uneventful. Somehow somebody just forgot one year. Counting from the Day of Revolution (2008/1376), you can see we are now in 1381. As an example, Xaviera's election as Minister was dated 1379 in the original post, but by the time it made it to the official timeline it had changed to 1380. All these dates are calculated again, based on their real-life date, in the update I sent to Dusty.

A militaristic splinter group called the Crusaders for a Correct Calendar launches a series of calculated gnomish hellball ballista attacks on various institutions of learning, claiming in their mass propaganda that "these bastions of a bygone time perpetuate a misconception about reality, and as such ensnare the world in their web of lies and wield absolute control over consensus and even elements of prophecy". To prove the truth of their statements, the Crusaders begin making predictions of what will happen in the future such as "the seas will turn black and the spectres of tens of thousands of the dead will come screaming from the watery abyss" and "a great tower shall be built and cast a shadow that wraps all the way around the earth until it overshadows even itself with its own shadow, signaling the end of all goodness and light" and then, when these prophecies do not come true, will blame the failure of these prophecies upon the collective ignorance of the world.
The Crusaders for a Correct Calendar and the Society of the Redacted Year will begin wearing what they perceive as futuristic styles of clothing with sharp angles and bright colors. Mondrian hairstyles will become vogue. The Crusaders will go into hiding, sought the world over by the Purple Knights of Cormyr after they blew up the War Wizard Tower and claimed the date of the attack to be 9 Eleint 1395 instead of 9 Eleint 1394, and will begin allying with various monstrous organizations that have all along sought to destroy mankind and civilization.
For it will be their belief that the only way to correct the world's mistake is to destroy everyone who is mistaken, and then start the calendar anew.
Crusaders go on quests, funded secretly by the Society of the Redacted Year, to find clues as to the location of Ao's Almanac, scaling lost peaks in the Frozenfar and digging into the depths of the Aunaroch desert, valiantly seeking proof of their claims.
And one day, Loynis Griffin arrives in the court of King Albastra of Cormyr, wielding a tome with a clockwork face that shows an impossible and mind-destroying amount of numbers. He opens the pages and displays their contents before all who have the courage to see...

Seriously. Is anyone at all working on compiling the year's events? So much has happened of note.
Last year was probably called 1381 by many too, because the confusion happened in 2011 (1379 really, 1380 mistakenly). Since it's the end of 2013 now, I guess it's been 1381 for some for two years now, but there's a perfectly consistent timeline running if you just fix that number.
Joon compiled events from a Cordorean perspective. I stopped doing that in March, and I've been reluctant to log on recently because I would have to catch up on too much and make a good excuse about where he's been and what he's been doing, only to fade into relative inactivity soon again.
Here's his IC notes, with OOC dates. They aren't public yet, but most of this can probably gleaned from documents and hearsay by anyone industrious enough:

She is accused to an assassination attempt on Joseph Maximillian, cutting down Knight of Law Hector and several others in the process. Rumors spread of a Kohlinger attack on the Cordor-occupied Lowlands Delta, but Kohlingen denies responsibility. 8.2. At the invitation of the Mayor of Wharftown, Silver Dragons of Kohlingen move into the town and declare it under their protection. The Adventuring Division of the Cordor Guard is disbanded and merged into the new Commonwealth Scouts – Alpha Division Vanguard. 13.2. A Treaty of Light is signed by representatives of Kohlingen, Copper Industries, the Eilistraeens, the dwarves of Barak Runedar, Wharftown, and Winya Ravana. It repeats accusations against the Arcanum and calls upon the people of Cordor to expel the organisation from power. Tensions increase. Wiltun declares its neutrality. 14.2. Joseph Maximillian announces an election for a new Minister of Finance, as advised by Minister Xee. Over the next few days, four candidates step up: Secretary of Finance Penn E. Pincer, Bureau of Census official Eli Hodgewall, and citizens Aven Srylle and Arianne Regaleyn. 15.2. In retaliation to their signing the Treaty of Light, the Commonwealth revokes the special dispensation of drow possessing an insignia from the Shrine of Eilistraee to enter the city, effectively banning all drow. 16.2. Castiel Fryar is taken into custody for suspected failure to give up her noble privilege in Waterdeep. 17.2. Tarkuul denounces the zeal of Kohlingen but also joins in condemnantion of the Arcanum. It announces its continued neutrality and remains open to seekers of knowledge. 4.3. Castiel Fryar is quietly released.

I actually crossed the Amian Timeline with the real life dates of some of the Commonwealth announcements to determine that the year was 1381.

Therefore, I wish to make it public knowledge: the Council has decided that it is prudent to enact Article Nine, the Colligation and Fragmentation of Administrative Offices, and to, for a term of six months, absorb into the Ministry of Finance, under the direction of myself, Joseph Maximillian, Speaker for the Council.
It's currently 1381 ((Or current year, if I got this wrong!)). This means for roughly four years, what was to be a six-month long stint was indeed lengthened several times over. Maximilian loved his city, but he did indeed lengthen his stay much longer than he should've legally done.
The Year One address was posted in 2009. The Timeline says it occured in 1377. So, 1377 + 4 = 1381. 2009 + 4 = 2013

After that the years and events match up following 2010.
1378 is the "uneventful" one where years were skipped in the timeline in 2009/2010. We've been a year off since 1379!

And I probably perpetuated it because I just took the numbers for granted and rolled from there. Seems an easy enough fix.

Then shouldn't some items get an updated description? The armours which Grundi sells in Barak Runedar for example have them listed being created during the periods of 1381/1382 following the Winter War. Unless the dwarves have some form of time travelling beards in which they make armour in advance of foreseen wars.
It's 1382 in two months anyway, and I imagine he keeps producing those armors as long as there's demand. So it will soon be accurate.
