i am a new player to Amia. I purchased this game from a friend of mine who was moving away and selling his old games, with the intention of playing in roleplay servers. However, today, my first day, i attempted to log into the game. All seemed normal to me as i created a character, until i entered the first room. As i clicked on the "mirror" portal thing to enter the game, I was greeted by a messege telling me that i needed to email GoG for a new CD key. However, as this game was not originally mine but a friend of mine, i am not sure if they will grant me an online CD key, since i'm fairly sure they have already given my friend a CD key which he did not give to me.

You need to ask your friend to give you that CDKey or have him request a multiplayer key off GoG.

Its not possible to join the game with the gog key because its not unique which means that even if we did let you into the game it'd be a massive security hole for the cdkey-lock system in place. Not to mention you'd get blocked by the server from entering if someone with the gog key already was on.

I see.... i guess I'm pretty much out of luck then. I am not in contact with the friend who gave me the game any longer. Shame. I really wanted to play here...

It will be like that on almost every server you try.


Since the master server went down CD key authentication is what is used on the majority of servers now.

Wow... i guess my multiplayer experience was shortlived... dangit...

Oh well... farewell, Amia. Looks like its the end, before it even began..

Have you checked all the box/cd cover etc properly for the cd keys? Otherwise, you could fork out another 10 bucks and get a new copy from GOG.

The CD keys on my original copy of NWN are on the inside cover of the manual, so if you have the manual you could try looking there.
