a tall muscular half orc with long black hair and dark spiked armor appears through the lamp in the temple of love and drops off a box that is locked with a standard lock and places a note on it
For the poor of Cordor and no one else.
Inside the chest is one million gold pieces
He then walks back through the lamp into the triumvir
//gold to be given to a dm as soon as I can get back on

Chaos in the streets of Cordor, people rioting in the streets, crowds stampeding each other as they flee in terror... all of that happened in Cordor. But somewhere in some dark corner of the world, there was a forge fire lit... and someone was hard at work toiling into the wee hours of the nigh for... something.

*A certain bard walks through, mumbling to himself.*
I wonder what had been done to prevent history from repeating itself. In the past Benwick had to intervene, now Kohlingen is required to preserve the City on Water. Is it ever gonna end?

Early morning hours the next day, a publication from the Clarion spreads like wildfire. News of the meeting in West travels fast. The already tenuous unrest spikes, especially in the Central and East districts, though North is soon to join in as well. Gossip spreads around the south, though so far that district seems most resistant to it, but the guards show definite signs of worry as well... CLARION OF THE COMMONWEALTH wrote: OUR MINISTERS STAND AGAINST US! Good people of the commonwealth, we fall upon hard times! Why, it is not too long ago that the forces of NOBLES storm into our homes! Murdering our guards! Destroying all that we hold dear to force their will upon us! But it does not end there! For two of our own have turned TRAITOR against us! Ministers who entered office with the blessings of the people, only to turn TRAITOR by siding with HARPERS and NOBLES and aiding in their oppression of us! Look here, good citizens! One of our brave citizens, holding true to the values of the commonwealth has insights on the NOBLES that infest our city! NOBLES who hold the commonwealth center and plunder it! Look here good citizens, for our fears of what the NOBLES have done comes to light! Henry Morris wrote: Good People of Cordor!
We have come here today, seeking answers from our Ministers. Solutions to the Chaos, and the confusion. I tell you now-- I, Henry Morris, have the truth! From eyes within the Commonwealth Center, from a man who was at the center of it all, hidden from view!
Our story begins, long before the recent travesties that have befallen our people. Two of our very own ministers were in cohorts with the Kohlingen authorities! They had devised a plan to permit the Kohlingen forces access to eliminate the Arcanum in Cordor, and to pave the way for a new future! HOWEVER!
Inside the army of Kohlingen guards, was a team of Kohlingen Ambassadors, who have slipped inside the heart of this city, coercing our leaders, corrupting the People! They insist, with the help of Minister Xaviera and Minister Eli Hodgewall, that the Duchess Eileen d'Cordor, ally of the Harpers, be reinstated at Head of State!
Minister Cromwell objected, but was threatened! Told he would be arrested, named a 'co-conspirator' against the Monarchy that used to rule Cordor!
And good people, it does not stop there!
The Kohlingar further insisted! They are plotting for Eileen d'Cordor to choose her own Minister of Law and a Minister of Magic! One Ulrik Valis for Minister of Magic, and Nevaeh Tarvencia, former Enemy of the State, for Minister of Law! Kohlingen has already chosen our ministers for us!
At first, Minister Hodgewall rejected this-- Saying that at least they should let the people elect, to create the -illusion- of a Republic. But the Kohlingar would hear nothing of it. For they had already decided our fate for us! Ser Robert of Caris, leader of the Duchal army present in our city, demanded reparation for the displacement of the nobility. Payment made -by the People- to further line their pockets!
Minister Xaviera and Minister Hodgewall let Kohlingen into our gates. And now, alongside the Nobility and Kohlingen, threaten our last remaining hope! It was even in the plans of the Kohlingar, that should they succeed, they will replace Elijah Cromwell with a Half-dragon abomination, Zellani-- ALSO of Kohlingen!
Good people, you have been tricked! The den of snakes rests in the center of our city! Elijah Cromwell-- Tell the people, before the Gods as witness, that this is the truth! We know you as our Hero, do not fall prey to the threats of the Nobility. Remember who you were, who you are-- and we the People will stand behind you! Shocking and chilling indeed! They not only force the NOBLES upon us, an ENEMY OF THE STATE to lead our law, but work to intimidate our beloved Elijah Cromwell into working with them! And furthermore they seek to return the commonwealth into a Duchy ruled by NOBLES through the return of DUCHESS EILEEN D'CORDOR, where our blood and labors work not for the COMMON WEALTH but for the NOBLES! But it does not end there! For there was an address in the western district, where all the ministers were supposed to show, but only Eli had! Where was minister Xee when the people called for her? Why do the NOBLES continue to intimidate Elijah into servitude? Further! When Henry announced this to the crowd, Eli ordered him arrested! The acts of a NOBLE TRAITOR! Have you no shame, minister Eli!? Silencing our beloved people like this! Thank you, good guardsmen of the city, for protecting citizen Henry and allowing him and his friends to expose the NOBLES for what they are! Further, the NOBLES had one of their mages use vile HARPER magics to control the crowd and tell them to go home! What is this Kohlingen, first you will force us through steel to accept you, and now you will use magic to control the hearts and minds of our people!? Shame on the NOBLES who would abuse our people like this! And not only that, but Andrew Fryar, a teacher and suspected HARPER, who's wife is a NOBLE, also went to assault someone in the crowd! Ghastly mister Fryar! Has he shown his true colors as well? Has he also surrendered the integrity of our people to the NOBLES that oppress us, like minister Xee and minister Eli? Good folk of the commonwealth, stand strong! For we must remain united and vocal to remove these NOBLES from within our midst! These TRAITORS we put our trust in have sold us out! Stand strong, people of Cordor, so that we may forever keep off the yolk of the oppression that NOBLES and those that would stand against us! Meanwhile... Xaviera's speech is met by mixed reactions. The people of the South cheer her on, and of course the staff in the temple of Love support her, and many of the farmers in North seem to show support as well. However, the people especially do not take well to speaking ill of the Late Minister Maximillian. "She could at least speak /well/ of all he did for us!". Those in West especially are apprehensive of her presence. Word of the attempt on her life continues to spread, causing yet further gossip and unrest among the people. Guards patrol the fairground vigilantly. Unrest is mounting to dangerous levels among the populace...

A copy of the latest happenings is held by a red-haired elf, sheltered away in Winya. While she doesn't move, she makes it a point to remain aware of what is going on in Cordor, ostensibly for the sake of her people, but in reality because she believes no one with a heart could turn away from the unfolding scene, with the sheer number of innocents caught in the crossfire.
Delila, for her part, has notably come up missing, taking the opportunity to choose her lover over her love of her home, spiriting away with Rourke to Nes'ek.

In the darkness of the night in Cordor, amidst the sweet night time noises of unrest and rioting and the warm embrace of fires, and maddened laugh can be heard. It rings out by some unseen figure, echoing off of surrounding buildings. Every once and again it builds in level, the sound quite terrifying.
But perhaps the most unsettling thing of all is the unmistakable presence of genuine delight present in it's undertones.

Eli simply smirks as he reads Hurst's article and sits behind his desk in the Commonwealth Center. As per usual when he is in the office, his door is open and he waits to see what visitors the day will bring.

A message is left for Bill Hurst, sent to his office by a roughened man, obviously weary from all the recent activity. Quote: Mr. Hurst, I'm a long-time reader of the Recorder, but I've also spent time in Kohlingen as well, I know what those HARPERS and NOBLES are like! I'd like a meeting with you, I don't trust anyone else but you with this information. It is indeed controversial!
Leave a message in the Nomad if you can meet!
Sincerely, Navlek Lyonson

:: Two notices are posted, on either side of the commonwealth center.:: Within the next hours all duchal cordorian divisions will commence their withdrawl. We urge that the west cordorian rebels, under influence of the tarkuulian agitators Legate Richard Johnson, Emilia and Kura, seize their preperations to launch an attack upon the Duchal Palace immediately.

A woman spits at the notices and tells bystanders, in a very high voice, exactly what her opinion on the subject is -"No cordorian citizen has been killed he says? What of the soldiers who defended the north gate! Kholingen have murdered our children! " The same woman then gives the finger to any nearby silver dragon soldiers and spits in their general direction. -"And what about the speaker? If it wasn't for kholingen he wouldn't have been killed! HIS BLOOD IS ON THEIR HANDS!" The woman bears striking resemblance to A young soldier who had been dispatched to the conflict in khem and never returned...
Then suddenly a male figure stepped out of the crowd. He calls out her name and she turns slowly to his direction. There is a brief pause while they look into each-other's eyes and a moment later the male reaches out his hand towards her. She slowly reaches for his hand and soon she is cuddled up inside his arms, holding onto him while burying her face into his shoulder while bitter tears start to fall. The male figure strokes her back and leads her away, whispering comforting words into her ear. They move towards the southern district of cordor...

No Silverdragons have remained stationed in Cordor, having withdrawn with the rest of the army of Kohlingen and Barak Runedar on the day of the operation. Those who have remained, the duchal cordorian soldiers in service to the Duchess, have remained within the palace thus far.

A few postings are found throughout Cordor, mostly in the rioting districts but some make it to other areas where guards are less traveled at present.

The young Henry Morris pens another letter in response the Duchal notice, issuing it out to his companions and dispersing it as he can: Quote: Citizens, rejoice!
On this day, the Voice of the People has been heard! Through blood, through confusion, through chaos, justice has prevailed!
Last evening, as the night grew dim, and as our rebellious spirits -- strengthened by our call to freedom-- drew to their peaks, I, Henry Morris, spoke again to Minister Hodgewall and the foreign officials who had nested inside our Commonwealth Center. No deals were struck, no bargains made. I only sought to make perfectly clear the will of the people as I knew it, to paint them a picture of just how serious the People of Cordor were! That we would rise, that we would March, that we would be refuse with all strength a life of servitude!
Jubilation! Kohlingen leaves!
Gather to the streets as you will, leave your weapons aside-- For this is not a day of battle, but of celebration! We are victorious. As each and every invader leaves through our Gate, they will see how the People gather united, they will hear how the People sing their songs of freedom!
Let our rejoicing be sobered only by the memories of those we have lost. And let our spirited cries be laced with the promises that this will never happen again!
Meet me again in the streets tonight, my people-- But bring not your weapons or your anger, but your flags and instruments! Your eyes to see the Nobles flee once again, your ears to hear the People rejoice, and your courage to look to the future-- Our future-- with resilience!
~ Henry Morris ~

The records of citizenship find themselves placed back in the Bureau office, having been missing since just before the attack three whole days ago. Shortly after, Eli made his way outside. Any that saw him would say he looked rather jubilant. He made the short stroll to the Blue Skies where he proceeded to leave his response to Hurst's accusations with the only free press he had come to respect.

A greyish cloaked figure can be seen walking around Cordor. He seems to be watching how things go, his colors not showing any sign of allegiance anywhere. The man seems normal perhaps a bit large in size but normal by all means. Though his hand seems to rest on the pommel of the blade to his side. He is every now and then spotted listening with his hood covering over his face perhaps a bit longer then a normal hood.
The man can be seen going different places and helping those he can where he can, he never speaks much but it is obvious he is human. He is sometimes seen moving to the Temple of love though his purpose there is unknown.

The Academy remains empty and under lock since the headmaster lead his charges out of the city. However, Andrew is still sighted within the city after coming down from Guldorand, quietly continuing his rounds through South Cordor as if nothing had happened, offering food and now blankets to the residences he stopped by. He assures people who ask the fate of his free dinners that the doors to the Academy will be opened for free meals later that night.

Several piles of fine grayish powder would appear at the foot of the steps of the Commonwealth Centre, each one gently nestling a finely wrought scroll tube, sealed with the official emblem of the Enclave of Tarkuul. On the side of each scroll tube, cradled by ornately twisted and clearly aged wrought-iron filigree, would be the name of one of the remaining Ministers of the Commonwealth government; one tube addressed to each Minister, in fact. Cursory examination of the tubes by whatever guard force might be stationed outside the Centre, or any remaining spellcasters in the Commonwealth's employ, would reveal no traces of magical enchantment or anything that would indicate the contents to be other than a simple scroll. Should any of the Ministers decide to open the tubes, they would find the following inside... =========================================================================================================================
To the Council of the Commonwealth of the city state of Cordor,
The enlightened realm of Tarkuul has heard of thine recent tragedy concerning the misdeeds of the enclave of sorcerous criminals widely referred to as the Arcanum. The injustice wrought upon thine fair city and people by the callous arrogance of these dabblers in the arcane cannot be condoned, nor pass without a severe reaction by the laws and forces that govern us all. Let it, henceforth, be known that the Council of the Living City understands thine grievances in their entirety, and would like to extend its condolences beyond the mere courtesy of the written word.
As but a humble token of good will and faith we have agreed to dispatch no less than seven hundred units of mushroom-cuisines of the finest quality, capable of enduring tremendous amounts of time without being spoiled, to be used as thou, in thine wisdom, see fit.
Yet there is more than the base needs of the common folk to look out for. The arcane art is a dangerous one, and a determined soul, no matter how petty, can nonetheless wreak untold havoc upon the unsuspecting and the innocent, if allowed to. As there is no telling what evil may be brewing in the hidden dens of these scoundrels and renegades, the Council of the Living City of Tarkuul has wisely decided to offer thee a hand in aid - a coordinated effort to see this threat removed once and for all from the face of our lands. The finest arcanists of the prestigious Magisterium Mortis will be, in the moment this letter reaches thee, already entirely prepared to journey to your beautiful city and enrich it further, should you so choose, with the knowledge gathered within the libraries of Tarkuul, and assist in a conjoined endeavor to remedy the malice that the Arcanum have caused upon thee and eradicate this menace once and for all.
Furthermore the Keeper of the Crypts of Tarkuul shalt offer thee his aid in the obsequies, according to the burial rites of the Scribe of the Doomed - Jergal. The Doomscribe shalt make himself available to Igor of Moribund, and assist him in putting the remains of the tragically deceased citizens of Cordor to their rest.
Let those who would conquer you through fear and terror tremble instead - for a joint effort of our cities would truly be a sight to behold, and send many a shiver down the spines of witches and warlocks of the Arcanum.
In solemn anticipation of thine response, The Council of the Living City of Tarkuul 24th Eleint 1382

The young Henry Morris searches for his companions once more, copying a handful of letters to be sent and dispersed to key locations throughout Cordor. A copy finds itself under the door to the Academy, addressed to Andrew Fryar. Other locations include notice boards in the South, Central, and Western district. Quote: Good people of Cordor,
I am ever in search for the truth. Today, my friends and brothers, I must elaborate on my findings within the Commonwealth Center on that fateful day. For as a People, we deserve the truth.
After the crowd was dispersed in Western Cordor, when we approached the Ministers with our questions, and when I revealed information from a source inside the Commonwealth Center at the time of its happening, I was later called face to face to meet with our very own Minister Eli Hodgewall. While at first, given my grave accusations to the Ministry, I suspected a trap, Minister Hodgewall ensured that I was safe.
He has given me insight further into the happenings, and has himself remained a key force that pushed out the Duchal Army.
Firstly, in regards to the tragedy at the Northern Gates-- the very reason I first took to writing these letters-- the Minister speaks so: The Ministers themselves had no pre-planned event alongside the Kohlingen forces. Minister Hodgewall expressed his surprise at the presence of Kohlingar forces outside of our gates, and, alongside Minister Xaviera (Who was not present at this meeting due to the attempt at her life), made the difficult decision to let only a handful of Kohlingen forces inside to assist with the riots. Riots induced by enchantment magic on our people. They selected a handful of mentally resilient Kohlingen forces, and took to slaying those responsible for manipulating the people.
However, the Duchal Army took this as their chance. What was initially a force sent to batter down our gates, turned into a force to help quell the riots-- then turned once more into a force sent to return the Duchess Eileen d'Cordor to power. Ser Robert's threats to arrest our ministers were verified as true, and thus began the hostility inside our very own Commonwealth Center, as plans were made to remodel our future.
So while our Ministers were not conspiring with Kohlingen forces before the fact, we must still acknowledge that the Duchal Army positioned outside of our gates seized our chaos as opportunity. With treachery and threats, they took to the shadows behind our own closed doors.
Minister Hodgewall was repentant, understanding that while first choices were made with the best intentions, they were quickly turned sour by Duchal manipulation. It was with his help that the People's voices were heard behind these closed doors, and the Treaty of 'Light's' officials and the Duchal Army present were sent home. As of late, this is the only correction to my source's findings within the Commonwealth Center.
So what must we make of this all, citizens?
Kohlingen and Winyan ambassadors, alongside Duchal forces, pushed their way into our home, seizing advantage of the chaos within our walls. Our Ministers, while not traitorous, neglected the best interest of the people. Minister Hodgewall works diligently to remedy these errors, but I leave questions of whether or not they can continue properly representing us with the People. As the time draws nearer when we must-- I say again: when we must-- decide our fate for ourselves.
The Treaty of Light and the Duchal forces have proven their own lack of integrity, seeking to displace their political opposition with strike teams, invasions, and threats behind closed doors. As the last Noble soldier leaves our gates, we must stand united to ensure that this never happens again.

A mass printing in released to the public after the pulsing lights in the sky fade, in the usual places Andrew leaves his newsletters.LIGHTSEveryone saw the pulsing lights in the night sky. I misdiagnosed this as a threat and warned people to return to their home. Shortly after, I ran into Ulrik who provided an explanation about what was happening. He held a small question-and-answer for a few people in South Cordor, then departed. I requested this explanation for print. Nivo wrote: To the people of Cordor,
As you may have noticed the lights in the sky the evening of the twenty-fourth of Elient, an explanation is both necessary and proper as to the cause, and the threat posed to you all.
Your Ministry of Magic manipulated a form of magical energy known as the ley. The ley-lines are a magical phenomena that are a fascination to many in the Arcane community. And an oft misunderstood one, even among learned magicians.
The Arcanum knotted this energy together, much as one may pull taut a rope, and tie it together. They did this over and over, creating a massive knot, hence called the leyknot. This was an unnatural bending of typically freely flowing and harmless magical energy. Thus unnaturally wound, it became a threat to the city. As they wound the leyknot, so they had the ability to sever the knot. As a tautly pulled rope is ought to do when cut, this would have caused the ley-lines to snap back and backlash, creating a very powerful release of magical energy over the entire city. Educated estimates put the potential destruction as near ninety-percent of the city.
As their actions in the past tenday demonstrated, the Arcanum were a dire threat to the city of Cordor. Their machinations were for the ill of the people of Cordor. With such a lingering threat quite literally over the entire city, action had to be taken.
The aforementioned lights visible over Cordor on the evening last were a visible manifestation of the safe unraveling of the leyknot, conducted by myself and assisted by wizards Tuomas Valo and Robert Stanwell, and with the permission of your elected Ministers. One legacy of the Arcanum is now removed, many may yet remain. The effects of this particular action are two-fold. One: The leyknot may no longer be severed, resulting in the massive destruction of your city. Two: In the coming days, as the ley-lines sort themselves into a normal flow once more, portal rods will once more function in the city.
It is my hope this explanation is edifying. In the coming days, and as the city rebuilds itself in the wake of the Arcanum-wrought destruction, I offer to engage the new Ministry of Magic in dealing with the legacy of that malign cabal. As well as to offer further explanation and detail on the phenomena that was the ley-knot, should it be requested.
Mystra's blessings, `Ulrik Valis

One large and very motherly woman with a heavy bosom exclaimed angrily at the latest notice.
-"..They are removing the opposition from the council! And shutting down the free press, too! Where is Henry ... Henry! HENRY!"

Amidst the turmoil and chaos, amidst upset voices and heated arguments. In the western district amidst the unrest and heavy unrest there ran a heavy woman in her mid fifteens, to and from every shop that would sell silk, wool and clothes. Arwen's and aluvard's shoppe was the first to run out of textile, more specifically - Red textile. And amidst the light of flickering candles inside her home, Mother Johnsson had invited all her female friends to help her sew, knit and weave. Poor old henry, her husband, was forced to keep the tea kettle warm all night long for the ladies until they were done the following morning. Mother johnsson collected every single item that was ready before she kissed her husband passionately goodbye and hurried out after breakfast towards the Nomad, and Henry morris. In her arms she clutched scarf's, hundreds of small red scarf's which she handed out to as many of his supporters who wanted one. -"This will be our symbol - This will be what separates us from them! Red as the blood Kholingen spilled upon our soil! Red as Lathander's rising dawn! Wear it so mark your allegiance towards Cordor! We will throw out the Kholingen sympathisers! "
Mother johnsson had spoken..

The wind grew colder over Cordor as the summer days faded into fall. The cold days meant ill for the many remaining people who were left displaced and hungry among the citizenry who had suffered many ills over the past few days and, indeed, past couple of years. For the time being, at least, Andrew withdrew himself from arguing over political corruptions and outspoken upstarts to focus on the area that had given him his reputation in the first place. The empty and closed Academy, as it had been since the first riots broke out, was alive and glowing with warmth and presence again as it temporarily repurposed its efforts into a boarding home for displaced children and a central location where lost kids could come or be brought for a warm meal and shelter. The orphanage remained closed as its charges remained out of the city in Guldorand. But the displaced children? They were brought back and set up in the Academy, alongside the night's new refugees. But, there were some silver linings. With that nights losses, some victories were found.
After the initial troubles the last time they tried this, this time, things ran much more smoothly. Already armed with a list of children's names, he read through them. Astraea, his loyal staff member on the inside of the Academy, would send a child out when a parent of grandparent or even the odd uncle or aunt came to check if their child was found. After the initial crowd of that night dissipated, he revised and updated his list of names of the children he had in the academy, and sent these lists off to both the Chapel of Lathander, which was running its own charity work, and the Temple of Love, with instructions detailing that parents seeking the children on the list should be told that they were safely in the Academy. While dealing with the parents, he spent very little actual time with the children besides a few warm words of hope. Rather, he left Astraea, one of the orphanage caretakers who had come back down from Guldorand with him and a few heavily vetted volunteers to help with settling children, putting them up for the night and tending to their needs. His daughter, the six year old Mira Fryar, also returned down from Guldorand with her father and volunteered to helping her fellow children and the adults.
The guards posted near the orphanage would be politely requested to direct parents to the academy and escort lost children there if they found any. These children were watched at all times by the kindly people at the Academy. Andrew would even himself help serve food ot tuck children in when the stream of parents ended, and occasionally play uplifting music for the children. More than once, he'd join an older child or teenager in a game of checkers or chess, the latter of which he lost handily time and time again.
After the children went to bed that night, he ascended into his room where he kept the printing press and made a few short notes of interest for print, which he took to be distributed that next morning. The midday hours, when meals were not being distributed out to his displaced children, accepting supplies or donations or when the chance of intercepting a parent was at its lowest, Andrew would allow his staff members or the orphanage members to control operations while he left the city to buy or scrounge supplies to not only bring to the school but also up into Guldorand for the orphanage and boarding school students who were still up there, as well as his lovely wife and three youngest children. He'd also dedicate a couple of hours up there to tending to their desires or just spending some time raising morale or doting on his family.
On the way back from Guldorand to Cordor, he would occasionally take an hour or so to venture off road into the wilderness for coin and easily liquidated goods wrested from wicked monsters that prowled the roads. He was always careful to clean his weapons and equipment after doing this bloody work, and generally turned around immediately to turn the gold into food or other supplies before returning to Cordor. Despite the hard and even tragic work at times, he found peace in returning to his simple, but benevolent work, using his personal wealth, time and connections to deliver as best he could to the children. Though he'd occasionally check the streets for lost children himself, his busy schedule meant him mostly relying on word of mouth and reputation for lost children or despairing parents to be brought to the academy. Each day, without fail, he'd provide a new list of names for the Temple of Love and the Chapel of Lathander of the current children in his charge.
More than a couple of grateful mothers (and fathers) hugged or kissed the headmaster cheerfully when their children were delivered to them.

Andrew's newsletters take a different tone in the next couple of days. More than a couple are posted outright on walls throughout the districts when he makes his rounds looking for lost children.
RELIEF STATIONS
Currently, the Chapel of Lathander, the Temple of Love and the Festival Grounds contain places for people seeking shelter or nourishment. They also contain healing supplies and other goods.
CHILDREN
Any lost children should be brought to the Blue Skies Academy of Cordor. We are currently in contact with other stations throughout the city to reunite parents with their children as much as possible.
Parents, below is a list of the children we currently have staying with us. If you see your child's name listed here, you can collect them from sunrise to dark. There will be someone on hand at all times to ensure the safety of everyone and children will only be released to their guardians upon verification.
Allen Ackbarry Jennifer Callsworth Mary Custer Flik Darrows [...] Robert Westin Candice Zeal
This list is updated every night, so please, do not lose hope.

It seemed like forever since the last time Dawn (Ar'ellin'ah) had stepped foot in the chapel for any length of time but Adela walked into the chapel and since Dawn had decided to use the chapel as her temporary mailing address she was expecting a package. She wore black and purple now but it wasn't long ago in elven years or even human years she wore the white and gold of the church of Lathander. "Two years, alots changed in two years", she thought to herself as they walked in and waved to Andrew and Natalia whom were speaking to one another. Small talk ensued current events were discussed and her main purpose for being there was handed to her. While speaking to Andrew and Natalia others entered as well. Apparently Adela knew this one she called Pale introduced her and she was greeted in kind. She didn't act as if it was her first introduction to others in the room however. Some time after Andrew and Natalia left for the Academy which now served as a orphanage for the time being.
Dawn, Adela and Pale stayed after the others left. It wasn't long after the refugees of Cordor starting pouring in by the droves into the chapel for shelter. Dawn and Pale decided to set up a small camp outside to feed the people that were in the chapel at the time but once the smell of fresh cooked food wafted the air they just kept showing up more and more. Word was sent out to deliver food to the chapel and the people did exactly that. Pounds upon pounds of food was brought to the chapel mostly hand delivered by the piece, some in bulk. All kinds of exeptional foods were prepared a hero's feast if you will. But soon unbeknowst to the ones trying to get this done it was prepared in such a way that soon they were running out. Once this was realized Dawn along with Kuria rushed to ressupply the, at least, -bulk- ingredients and they would just have to work off that. By that time refugees were spread all over the floor and a throughout a tent encampment just outside the chapel, some wounded but all were hungry. Soups of all kinds able were prepared next, of ingredients simple and available. Onion soup, Carrot soup, Cabbage and Apples. Anything that was simple and could be made in large quantity was prepared and handed out. Luckily an old friend of Dawns showed her how to cook -some- but she spent quite a bit of time reading up on other recipes whilst one soup was cooking taking a cookbook crash course in the next one. Most the food from earlier was prepared by others but she thought it was something else she could do to give assistance and as it turns out it was actually needed.
During all of this some strange fellow, at least in Dawns eyes, came in to get a list of the dead or dying, being paranoid and untrusting Dawn was leary of this one Adela said worshipped Jergal. None the less they agreed he could have a list of the names of the wounded but not the ones that were just hungry. Once he left Adela and Dawn continued about tending the masses and doing what was able as was needed. Then another named Davin dropped by asking who was in charge of the food and the service and noone could honestly answer that question since it was just something that happened. The refugees were emphatically thankful for what had been done for them. Instead of some long sermon, as they ate, Father Redweth went about the business of tending to others. After being thanked for the food, about the only thing that could be called a sermon, of which was pointed out by Adela as being a sermon, was uttered by Dawn unbeknownst to her that it actually was. Rumor -may- circulate of the subject of this "sermon" as being something along the lines of this;
"We alone couldn't have done this. The people of Cordor and the surrounding isles are the ones to thank that were able to help. You can thank Lathander for placing the love of fellowship in the heart of others but actually, the people took care of one another, because thats just the right thing to do."
After at least -most- were fed and found room to sleep where they could, Dawn walked around singing a soothing song of lasting through and that of hope and love. Whilst Redweth, the other Preachers and Nurse Hatchet continued on with whomever was left. When anyone was worried or spoke of any threat Dawn simply paused singing and told them in a reassuring voice, Be well we'll protect you and when any said, well what if that isn't enough? She simply said, Have heart and never lose hope as she offerred a reassuring smile and left it at that as she lead back into her song of the same subject for as long as she was able.

On that day's particular trek to Guldorand, Andrew returned with his great, black Waterdhavian mastiff, Princess, in tow, which he let inside of the Academy to both help keep watch over the children and to offer them the kind of comfort only a dog could deliver. Like most dogs of her breed, she was large, furry and even tempered, accepting the affections and attentions of those within the Academy with a kind of quiet dignity. Unlike most dogs of her breed, however, she was keenly intelligent and careful to always be gentle with both staff and child. She was quick to alert or assist in accidents that may happen, or to break up the occasional spat with a lick of her massive tongue.
She was also careful never to speak in her oddly feminine voice to any one but Andrew or Mira.

In the few days since the fall of the Arcanum, the near-invasion of Cordor and the death of Joseph Maximillian, impromptu shelters for the children, wounded and homeless have sprung up in and around the city - in the temples, the Academy, the south Cordor clinic, the occasional warehouse and in the Festival Grounds. There, large tents, requisitioned from Cordor's military arm and equipped with cots, blankets, sanitary and cooking facilities, have been set up on the orders of the Ministry of Health & Public Welfare. Food arrives from various places throughout the island - its availability is uneven and in some cases it is strange to the people of Cordor, but people are making do. The city's various churches are strongly encouraged to provide food and healing for their parishioners as well - it's not an order, but clerks from the Ministry drop by almost daily to check in and take notes on who's doing what for whom. Some work begins on clearing away debris from damaged buildings, though it's slow going as most of those who can be spared for labour are occupied primarily with setting up shelters and temporary buildings to provide various services. Members of Sympathy for South Cordor are seen throughout the city, assisting in various volunteer roles. The guard presence on the streets remains heavy in the wake of the rioting - temporary command posts, backed by Law Knights, have been set up in sensitive areas around town, enabling a guard response within minutes of disturbances being reported. Fortunately, things have been relatively quiet in the last 24 - 48 hours and few arrests have been made. One Diathi Driscoll is released from jail when the guards announce that a pardon signed by the Acting Speaker of the Council has been received, though he's given the stern warning "We'd better not be seein' you here again, fellow". The following notice is printed and distributed around the city: Quote: The People of Cordor need YOU
In the wake of the Arcanum's devastation of our fair city, early estimates of property damage are in the tens of millions and losses are almost one person in ten.
We have suffered a heavy blow, but you can help.
The Commonwealth asks all citizens of means and those who frequent Cordor to enjoy our shops, businesses, temples and services, to invest in our city's repair. Help us obtain food, healing and shelter for the poor and those who have been injured or made homeless.
Together we will restore the vibrant City of Water, Gateway to Amia!
The dogma of our Patron Goddess, Waukeen - "To share your funds well seeds your future success!"
Donations in coin are gratefully accepted at any branch of Morgan & Sons, the Temple of Waukeen or the Commonwealth Centre. To volunteer goods, services or labor, please see Clerk Franton in the Commonwealth Centre.
Thank you // please contact a DM to make a donationAs red scarves begin to appear around the city, Xaviera herself dons the crimson sash of "Johnathin's Wounds", in honour of the previous and well-loved Minister of Health & Public Welfare, with a flower pinned to it. Many who live (or once lived) in the southern part of the city will recognize the latter as a reference to the late Renee Flowers, Johnathin's partner and the first leader of Sympathy for South Cordor. (mostly DM approved but subject to change)

As the red scarves begin to appear throughout Cordor, and are worn, they are given with explanations of their intent. Henry Morris spreads this instead through word of mouth, rather than written notices. He equips his companions with the knowledge, and goes about offering some as well:
"We need a symbol, good people! For when our voices cannot be heard, we see where we stand by the scarf of red about our necks! Red-- to remember our loss! The lives of our Guardsmen, the lives of our people. Red, the color of desire-- the anger in our blood, with which we cast aside our own corruption, cleave it from our bones!
Red -- The Color of the coming Dawn, as we change our city toward a stronger future!"

The city's now destitute undertaker listens to Henry's proclamation while lying corpselike upon a stone bench outside the Cordorian arena. Only the word "loss" resonates with him, enough to turn his head and stare at the speaker standing now horizontally. The other sentiments of anger and passion do little to spur Braham, other than to make him contemplate a sense of guilt in trying to get four hours of sleep. A heavy sigh and he is on his feet again, calmly asking people not to demand the burial of their dead on the already overburdened Moribund and to allow the Ministry of Health to determine how best to dispose of those dead not simply buried at sea.

Throughout the past ten-day during the upheaval that Cordor has experianced, Astraea-Celes has been busy and hard at work attending to the needs of the people lending her aid and support through assisting Andrew Fryar at the Academy and the good sisters of the Orpahange with careing for the children and their well being, through song, prayer, and encouraging hope and faith in the people of Cordor as well as Guldorand.
Within the Temple of Love she has held services on several occassions for all those who seek comfort and guidance from their goddesses, attending to them and their needs in whichever capacity she is capable, including organizing charity and distributing provisions that have been donanted by various individuals and groups throughout both the city and in Guldorand while the Orphanage was temporarily housed there.
While walking the streets of Cordor, she has been aiding Andrew Fryar in his endeavours throughtout the city, especially during his support rally in the Southern District and lending her aid to the Ministers Hodgewall and Xee during their time within the Districts. When not in anoyone's company in particular she has tirelessly endeavoured to encourage hope, inspire the good in people, and offer healing and comfort to any in need ... and she continues to do so enthusiatically.

Hand over five million gold coins, or face execution Like I just carry five million gold coins around. Then you will come with me to face execution How about no..
The briefest whiz of air rushed by many commoners, the sound of steel-plate boots ringing loudly across the pavement though it's source was undetectable. It moved north, and fast! As quickly as it was there, as quickly as it was gone...

Davin can be seen around the city in the same armor, polished and cleaned, but now wearing the deep blood-red of the fallen. It seems that because a scarf would get in the way of his mobility, he has instead colours his tabbard to reflect his devotion to the memory. He carries a small portfolio with him and heads toward the Chapel of Lathander, leaving a short letter behind:Davin Blacklake wrote: Faithful of the Morninglord,
I'd like to potentially arrange a meeting with whoever is conducting the organisation of the sourcing and gathering of food for the needy. Myself, and other local farmers in the area will likely be able to help, but it should be noted that this needs to be organised in a way which can be consistently applied over time. With proper planning, we will be able to help those who are in need, without damaging the livelihood of those who struggle daily to enrich their lives through their local produce.
Sincerely, Davin Blacklake (Dairy Farmer)

A pair of days after a posting from Minister Xaviera, there would be some additions, so to speak, in West Cordor. Next to several of the postings, placed when guards were not present, is a simple piece of parchment containing a message. The scant words of the message take up nearly all of the room on said pieces of parchment, and they look to be painted on.THE REMOVAL OF OPPOSITION BEGINS

A letter would find itself addressed to each of the temple faiths within Cordor, as well as one attempted to be sent to whatever form of government remained by a small group of sisters, bearing the starting of supplies. Along with their letter, they would explain their wish to aid the temples with the stress they must surely be burdened with and ensure no citizen was left wanting aid. Quote: To whom it may concern
We have heard the plight of the people of Cordor and wish to offer our aid and assistance to those afflicted. If you would welcome our aid, we have a number of sisters who can make a presence within the city to handle medical aid as well as ensuring supplies are handled and delivered among the people. They stand ready to do, if you will take such. We wish nothing in return for this and will even gladly continue to do so until matters have fully calmed down
The sisters of the Salandran faith Meanwhile, in Kohlingen, others were gathering and starting their own initiatives to gather aid and offer supplies...

The sisters of the Salandran faith A letter would shortly find its way back to the Temple of Salandra, accepting the offer with thanks on behalf of the Commonwealth Council and asking the Sisters to check in with the Minister of Health & Public Welfare.

Davin is often seen hurrying through the city, now, rushing from meeting to meeting. He is well-dressed, either in his polished armor, or workman's clothing, and a billowing blood-red cape flies out behind him as he goes. Under his arm is tucked a portfolio of documents. He frequents the Chapel of Lathander, full of smiles and good-will nowadays, and also frequents various locations in Western Cordor, doing what he can to help out those in need. For the most part, Davin seems to have adopted a business-like attitude to his schedule, and his training with weapons has been put aside for the moment.

The day is young in Cordor, yet tension remains high in the air all throughout Cordor, matters continue to escalate.
The chest of gold left in the Temple of Love is taken by the staff, who immediately start to use the funding to help the poor in their district. A large chunk of it goes to the families of victims who have suffered losses recently, as well as farmers who have yet to recover from their problems with the iron rot.
Meanwhile, in North, food deliveries done are met with gracious aid. Indeed, aid from the Shrine of Eilistraee in that district is well received, enough so that the guardsmen who have been vigilantly watching the district since the attempt on Minister Xee's life are willing to look the other way in the case of Eilistraeean drow, especially if they provide a signet ring. While the guardsmen guarding the gate to the East district aren't as forgiving and won't let them into the city proper, it does allow them some freedom in the city. (// Yes, this means your Eilistraeean drow is allowed to be in North Cordor without DM supervision).
The withdrawal of the Duchal forces seems to be taken gracefully, quelling fears that Kohlingen will try to annex the commonwealth, at least, for the moment. Still, soft murmurs can be heard throughout that they will try again, and any in knightly regalia gets a good deal of bad looks if they roam around the North or West districts. In contrast to the other districts, those of South actually seem displeased that the Duchal forces are gone. “Means those damned clerks can get back to messing with us... things were nice and quiet when they knew someone wouldn't tolerate their [BEEP].”
The people are appreciative of the aid and effort given to them, special praise is given to minister Xee and Andrew Fryar for aiding them. (Except in the West district)
The people in the western district seem to be arming themselves, commoners can be seen with spears strapped to their backs, or swords held on a buckle on their belts, with shields in hand. Many have clubs, from simple wooden things to more elegantly made batons. They're preparing...
The red scarves also seem to have become a very popular thing among the people, especially the farmers in the north district. They also see a lot of popularity in the eastern district as well. However, there are precious few that are worn in the southern district...
By far the biggest stirring comes from the notice published by Xaviera's latest notice, which is also cosigned by Elijah Cromwell. Reactions vary largely by district.
In the South district, the notice is met with an overwhelming cheer for Xaviera, Eli, and Cromwell. “Bout time the council went to put those crooks in the slammer!” “They were acceptin bribes?” “Course they were! Damnit you know how long we had troubles with those thrice damned clerks, which of them weren't acceptin' bribes?” “This must have been stuff they found when investigating the ministry of law! I knew they'd find something” “About time those lousy Arcanum kooks were brought to justice!” “Poor Maxi, I heard they bumped him off for finding this stuff, just like how they attacked the south district.” “I really hope I can get to visit them in the slammer, I have a few things to say to them with my fists.” “Hurst, bout time, he'd been lying to us since the beginning, I swear!” “Yeah, you know how many times Andrew ripped him a new one with his articles? Now /that's/ who should be in charge of the recorder!”
The North district sees a lot of support, especially to minister Xee. “Xee's finally cleaning out the trash in our government!” “Trash, what about Hurst? He's always been our support and voice!” “Yeah, and Pincer's never done us wrong.” “Always felt there were something odd about Mover, and you can forget about Pelczukr, he shoulda been jailed a long time ago!” “Xavi's always been a loving sort! She loves Cordor!” “She wouldn't order their arrest unless it were really bad.” “Damn, she's about to knocker them up!” “They're trying to silence opposition! Didn't you see those brutes from Kohlingen slaughter our people?” “Put two and two together, you know that attack on her? Maybe she found out who it were. I wouldn't put it past Pelczukr.” “Yeah, they tried to silence her first!” “What about those Kohlingen goons!?” “What about em? They already left.”...
Opinions are split in the Eastern district, though local gossip has a lot of praise for Andrew whenever he comes up... “What are they doing? Trying to silence Hurst? The people's voice?” “Buddy, you know how large Hurst got? He was skimming off our pockets! Eli wouldn't lie to us!” “Nor would Xee,” “They're arresting all of them! How can they support free elections when jailing our people?” “They said arrest, not convict. I'm sure they'll be given a free trial.” “Yeah, they will. Don't you remember Maxi put the ministry of law under investigation?” “Yeah, never heard of what came of that, other than a few clerks getting put in the slammer” “Maybe they found somethin bad, like real bad...” “Stealing off our backs and acceptin' bribes?” “Well you know that Pelczukr is guilty as devils himself.” “Feh, I knew something were wrong with Pincer.” “You sure it's not them grifting off our backs and blaming them?” “I can't wait to see the trial!” “You remember what happened to the Arcanum? Never went anywhere.” “They're gonna make this public, just you wait.” “I don't know, Hurst has long been the voice of the people, Mover the protector, and Pincer our steward. Doesn't seem right to me... well, Pelczukr can go to hell for all I care.” “But Xee and Eli have never steered us wrong either.” “What can we do but wait and see...” “Maybe Andrew should take over the recorder, it's better than the stuff Hurst makes for sure.”
The Central district is also contested... a large mix of opinions, however they do seem to take badly to the announcement of Hurst's arrest, not surprising since his home and office are in the district.
“The can't silence the voice of the people!” “Hope they arrest that lout Pelczukr.” “We won't let them arrest our beloved Bill Hurst! I'll take up arms myself if I have to!” “Him stealing and accepting bribes! Nonsense!” “What about Mover? He's shady as hell, Maximillian always kept things good though...” “We love you Bill Hurst!” “What if he is though? We've seen Andrew's publications, he always had what's best in mind for us!” “He's a schoolteacher, a good one. A journalist though, that's Hurst's field” “Fine if they want to arrest him, he'll get a fair trial, we'll make sure of that! But closing down the Clarion? That's going too far.”
The Western district gives a large amount of opposition to the proclamation. “Filthy elf blood and midget arresting the people who really represent the commonwealth!” “Yeah, it's clear enough who's loyal to us and who isn't!” “Didn't Eli help try and get this district out of poverty though? He spent a lot of effort on us.” “What are you, a midget sympathizer! It's like those damn nobles trying to buy us out!” “They're still forcing Cromwell into doing their bidding!” “Eli's aid helped get me and my family out of poverty!” “Oh, so now you're taking their side, huh? How bout you get outta our district before you get hurt?” “Hurst stealing from us and taking bribes, nonsense!”
Some violence against any Eli supporters occurs in the district, with them being mobbed and the guard aiding in them. Those voicing support for Eli soon find themselves either at the victim of angry people who disagree, or keeping their mouths shut... or disappearing... or moving themselves into other districts before the violence creeps up with them.
Meanwhile... the Lowland's Delta outpost finds itself devoid of life, all of the guards stationed there looking to have been killed by some, gruesome pestilence. The cart drivers weren't there at the time, and no witnesses saw what had happened to them... only a few remain in the place, who weren't there when whatever slew everyone was present.
Dr. Karse Ignoma is reported to be missing, he had not been seen in the Hospice since the day of the invasion by Kohlingen,...
The parties involve prepare themselves for the confrontations that will happen when the arrest attempts are made... tension mounts...

A certain figure sits amidst the rabble in West Cordor. Looking disheveled, wearing a motley assortment of rags and apparently scrounged-together clothing, his face obscured in darkness as he hunches over in a darkened corner. Every word around him is picked up, mentally digested, and added as fuel to his purpose. A hand covers his mouth as he hunches forward even more, containing the fit of coughing used to obscure his gleeful cackle.
It seems one destitute vagrant is pleased with the progression of things.

In the aftermath of recent events, Astraea-Celes has been seen an actively searching for displaced citizens and families that sought shelter upon the streets and within abandoned buildings, housing and reportedly the sewers. For those she was able to locate she has attended to them as best as she is able with healing, prayer, reassurance but most importantly food, clothing and hopefull convincing them to seek shelter where available where they could be safe and secure.
During the evening and early morning after she had walked among the central and southern districts into east, she came upon Marcus whom she had informed concerning the displaced while conversing with him in the Market Hall. He had some concern though explaining to her it was difficult to assist with so little manpower and division among the guard. Later that day she would seek Minister Eli Hodgewall and also explain the situation and proclaimed she would do all she could, some of which she has had some success.
Within the next day or so, Astraea-Celes can be seen wandering these areas of the districts, especially near sewers, again attempting to bring comfort and relief to the displaced and homeless.
As it would happen, while wandering she came upon the news of the mysterious deaths in the lowland delta and the outpost. Afterwards she came upon both Andrew and Marcus in which she had discussed with them her concerns of the implications and what it could mean for Cordor and surrounding areas. She has plans to investigate this matter personally, leaving a written letter with Andrew to ensure it is given to the proper authority and with proper context concerning the issue and what she suspects. However the two plan to investigate the matter as fully as possible, Marcus having asked the two to look into the mysterious death of Doctor Ignoma who may be the cause or but a part in this "mysterious illness" which she prays is not the beginning of an outbreak into a deadly plague.

Documents with the Council's sigil are erected on public noticeboards here and there throughout town: Quote: NOTICE
(1) The Council of the Commonwealth of Cordor is pleased to announce the appointment of Nevaeh Tarvencia to the post of Secretary of the Ministry of Law. Captain Tarvencia has commanded the Adventuring Guard and has long distinguished herself in the defence of Cordor and its people. Those of us who were witness to the horrifying scene when our late Speaker Joseph Maximillian was struck down by the foul magics of the Arcanum will never forget that poignant moment when, with his very last words, he asked for her forgiveness and spoke of his great affection for her. We will honour those words by placing our complete confidence in Captain Tarvencia as she works with the Council to set the Commonwealth to rights and restore freedom.
(2) It is with horror and dismay that the Council has learned that foreign agents are working to bring down the Commonwealth hard on the heels of the Arcanum's dastardly attack. The well-known terrorist Richard Johnson, who was released from jail without trial by corrupt officials in the Ministry of Law, as well as the Sharran Emilie Everguard and their associate Luca Severin are hereby notified that they are henceforth banned from the city and all territories of the Commonwealth of Cordor, not to re-enter said territories upon pain of death. Any citizen who assists or succours them or who gives heed to their exhortations to violence against any other citizen or property of the Commonwealth may be charged with treason. We continue to implore our fellow citizens to resist the call to violence and to work together to repair our fair city for the good of all.
(3) In light of this disturbing news, the Council has decided to consider the establishment of armories in various districts of the city in case it should prove necessary to repel an invasion or to otherwise arm our citizens in defence of the Commonwealth and its people. Several locations are under consideration, specifically [there follow three addresses, located in the North, East and Southern portions of town; currently they are abandoned buildings or warehouses located near to guard posts]. (4) It is with regret that we report the death of Dr. Karse Ignoma, Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Public Welfare. Preliminary reports suggest that the director of South Cordor's famed hospice may have been responding, with his customary dedication, to an outbreak of disease in the Lowlands Delta, though details are sketchy at this time. The clinic remains open and will continue to offer its services to all citizens.
(5) Our hearts swell with pride at the news of a number of generous donations from several citizens and others that will help us to defray the costs of the temporary shelters, hospitals and food kitchens set up in the wake of the recent disasters. We are grateful for the support of Andrew Fryar, Kaylee Diams, Dirgesh Helvet and Cecilia Blancrest. We have also received substantial donations of food from the Temple of Salandra and others. However, we remind everyone that the far greater part of the work still needs to be done, namely repairing or reconstructing those buildings that were damaged in the recent riots and fires, the cost of which is estimated in the tens of millions. Please give generously!
~ X. Xee, Acting Speaker of the Commonwealth Council Rumours also circulate that dozens of arrest warrants have been issued for government clerks, mostly in the Ministries of Law and Finance, following numerous other arrests over the last few days. It is said, however, that a significant fraction of these individuals turned out to be absent when the guards came looking for them.
