Can you stack KC auras? As in if you stood in 3 different KC Auras of each defense type, will your PC achieve all 3 buffs? Example: Standing in the middle between 3 KCs with a different defense aura, will the PC achieve: Barricade of Swords: Defensive Aura: Barricade of Swords creates a damage shield around all allies within the aura and allows them to shrug off a minor amount of physical damage. The shields damage is 1d10 slashing damage, +2 per Knight Commander level, +1 per Charisma modifier, to a maximum of Knight Commander level. They also gain 5% damage immunity to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage, +1% per Charisma modifier, to a maximum of Knight Commander level. AND Level 3: Medicant: Defensive Aura: All allies within this aura gain +2 regeneration, which improves to +3 at 5th Knight Commander level. Allies also gain +5 Heal skill per Charisma modifier, to a maximum of Knight Commander level. AND Vehement Charge: Defensive Aura: All allies within this aura gain immunity to blindness, charm, confusion, deafness, fear, daze, sleep, slow and stun. Allies also gain 3% movement speed increase per Charisma modifier, to a maximum of Knight Commander level. This aura also inflicts a penalty of -10 discipline to all allies. ?

Yes, so long as they are from three KCs with three different auras they will stack (ie I don't think you can stack two Medicants..... but I've never tried).

Yeah, I was asking on the basis that was the case, a faction containing Clerics with 5KC would be unstoppable.
Though a somewhat-related question, are there any methods of obtaining Paladin level 5 spellslot gear so taking Extended spell is viable on a Holy Sword Pally? I believe perfect mythals stop at typical level 4 cap addition.

and the reference: http://nwn.wikia.com/wiki/Holy_sword"This spell can be cast with extend spell if a level 5 paladin spell slot is obtained (from an item property)." EDIT: Shit, meant to put this as an edit to above...

Assuming I have 15 WIS, dedication to the character and class (and obviously the extend feat) and a hell of a lot of RP around the creation of this, would a Paladin Spell Slot 5 item be requestable, or is extending Holy Sword/GMW overpowered in any way?

Thanks, I'll set her feats accordingly, then dedicate time into RP of said item. Glad to know balance-wise it's been done. Am I right in assuming the requests contained only one Spell slot 5?

Between the Electric Castle and the Manor of morning, are there any undead-central hunting grounds? I'm trying to do the majority of my hunting in tainted areas. Caraigh strikes my mind, but unsure if it's better or on-par with Electric.

Caraigh is before Electric Castle in leveling range. Manor of Mourn is epic range. There's also the Moribund graveyard and some undead in Frozenfar. Oh and Burning Crypt which is around EC's level range I think. Sadly there's not a lot of undead hunting grounds.

IIRC unless something has changed you can fight undead 3-30. Though Kohl manor is gone now I do believe there are still plenty other spots.

There is a lot of "secrets and hints" being given out in this thread. I'm not overly fond of when IC stuff is discussed OOC.
I know it makes people stuff easier. We could have just said "yes, you can level against undead nearly all the way from 3-30". But instead specific answer was given.
This type of specificness has been done quite often in this thread and its aggravating. For me it was a blast to discover stuff IC. Or realize I could not do something and the character had to struggle with it IC, versus God-Moding with my omniscient self through the Amia Lands.
Let me make a slogan to remember it all by.

Pretty please and thanks ye kindly. But what if the player has his rp enriched by us giving him specific answer for general question? Like "Oh, you have been in the Burning crypt, your next stop is electric castle! ". What if the player never would have known?

Overhauled Summon I-IX. Will planar and undead summoning spells get an overhaul aswell? I would say, Gate could use some looking at for reasons i previously voiced in a PM to Sune [lore inconsistencies], perhaps keeping in mind BG and PM summons [which are Gate and Create Undead spells]. Also neutral-aligned planar spells are more annoying than useful with their casting, and definitely the weakest of the lot anyway.

Death domain summon question here Can the player consider having knowledge of how to create the undead they summon or should you treat it as a boon from your chosen deity?

I believe all divine spells are actually prayers to your deity where you ask for him/her to grant you specific boon. That's why you usually get a list of pre-determined boons (spells), to ease entire process of "ordering and granting" - for ease of processing the request by servants of the deity who watch over such (I doubt god itself bothers with checking each prayer, unless he has eye on a caster for some specific reason at that time).

You're supposed to use msn for these types of questions, that's where metagaming is okay. The appearance of strict IC standards must be maintaned!

This may sound like the stupidest question you've heard in a while, probably causing several people to face palm, if not vomit out of pure disgust, but...
If I'm making a new char, and aiming for making them a SD with the CL 20 Shadow Summon... if the char is a race like Svirfneblin, which have an ECL of +2, is it still possible to attain a CL of 20 with the SD?
Again. Free vomit bags for asking such a stupid question.

It is not possible regretfully. You can only take 10 levels of a prestige class pre-epic, leaving only 8 in epic because of the +2ECL

Thought as much. Cheers for the quick reply. Did seem to recall the whole 'not-able-to-level-prestige-class-after-10' thing. Ah well. Just have to re-evaluate.

I mean mechanically, if I, as a Water Genasi, try to walk into one of the underwater areas on the server, will I act the same as any old human and need to equip the "Gills" magic ring that allows you to enter those areas, or is there a mechanic in place so that we can just ignore that? Just want to know if I need to go purchase the ring or not.

Is it okay for people to go to a hunting ground then AFK for a long time right in the middle of it, and is it okay to 'take' that hunting ground for yourself if the above situation occurs?

Oh yeah, I should add that I would give someone about five minutes to respond before moving ahead. You have to remember, also, that if you are fighting mobs and them come across an AFKer they have been sitting there for at least fifteen minutes (I think that's the spawn respawn time). So if they have been sitting there for longer than the spawns to respawn then that's saying something, lol
Personally if I was AFK for that long, I wouldn't care. Hell when I AFK randomly and someone happens to walk by and say something I feel bad and send them a quasi-IC tell XD

If you strip all the enchantments off a Gills ring and add new enchantments, would the Gills ring still function correctly? Or does it work off the enchantments rather than a unique tag and script?

99% sure it has nothing to do with the enchantments, merely that it's the ring itself (same with the cloak and helm).

Yeah, works if you take all the stuff off and add your own (or always has for me!)

A totally non-official non-DM opinion, of course, but I would say: 666WaysToHell wrote: Is it okay for people to go to a hunting ground then AFK for a long time right in the middle of it? No, and 666WaysToHell wrote: ... is it okay to 'take' that hunting ground for yourself if the above situation occurs? Also no. Someone else being inconsiderate doesn't make it okay for you to be inconsiderate.

AFK = A Free Kill. Should someone stray away from their keyboard too long in such a place, they may find themselves disposed of by local monsters or otherwise.

Personally, dealing with hunting grounds should be an IC matter, I think... If you go afk, then you're not there to argue with people who want to start hunting since you've been standing there for 10 minutes, are you? Also, I have a question; does tenser's transformation affect your ability to cast epic spells?

Yeah, that's the stand I have in it, if I was on either side. MisterLich wrote: Also, I have a question; does tenser's transformation affect your ability to cast epic spells? Yep, as I have found out before XD Forgetting to cast EMA sucks sometimes, lol!

Haha, yeah xD that'd be bad!
One more thing though... Vampiric regeneration, how many powers does that use per enchantment? Is it the same as regular regeneration, where regen +1 is 2 powers, +2 is 3 powers, etc. etc., or is it different?
