Okay! Today will mainly be the NPC introducing themself and telling whats up.
Imho its not unreasonable people do not all arrive the same day from whereever they come from.
No worries, anyone who cannot make it today, will get the introducion etc. asap with the next meeting!
I can do almost any day around this time really. Also 1-2 hours later too.

I would be availabe for the next Session same time as last (6 PM GMT; 2 PM Eastern US) either today, friday or sunday. I will be away on saturday. Time wise I could push back the starting time 1-2 hours if that is more convinient for some.

Jack O'Bannon are you available Sunday that time too? Cuz then we possibly have the chance to get those together who missed the last one which would be great.
And from then on single shedules won't be that problematic. But at least everyone got the introduction etc.

Won't be able to attend I'm afraid. By the time I'll have computer access I'll be so under levelled compared to the rest of you it won't be worth while so I shall drop out, not that I was ever really involved regardless.
Long story short ebuyer is a horrible supplier and has delivered faulty parts twice and take about a week and a half to get anything through customer service wise.

So yep in 2 hrs... and those who can make it can all come. I will make it a mix of introduction and training. Plus you also can introduce eachother.
Sadly some people won't male it at all. So if anyone else wants to join in here last minute, feel free to!

Sounds fun. I'll make a character and see if you have room today when you do this. If not, not worries.

I can do a small session today if you like. I had a few very taxing work days the last two days so it will likely be a shorter one, but I am definately up for it.
I'd also rather not get too far ahead of Gondor since he will be back tomorrow anyways, if my memory serves me right.

I personally would prefer 6 pm GMT and 2 pm Eastern US time today. But if some cannot make that we can also go for the same time as last time which was 2 hrs later so 8 pm GMT and 4 pm US Eastern.

I'm about 90% certain I can be there at the earlier, 2 pm time. I have a lot on my plate today and a couple of things I have to do are dependent on other people calling me when they're ready so it's possible I may have to leave the event early (especially if we do the 4pm time). I'll keep an eye on the thread for updates.

Having played an Aurilite for many years on Amia I have something I just want to add and share. Mainly it focusses on Aurils dislike of fire. Let's start with this D&D isn't really well thought through. Auril dislikes fire with a passion any true follower isn't allowed to have any dealings with it. It's hericy. This of course creates obvious problems. Staying warm (solves by magic gift of Auril), no cooked meat, no strong alcohol (distilation), no metal weapons or armour (yes this is the biggest flaw). Me and my fellows have always taken the view that indirect use of fire for the greater good is a necessary evil. I've always played out that my character eats his meat raw, extinguishes fires and torhes whenever he sees them, refuses to party with people using fire enchantments, of course absolutely hates fire ganasis. His only exceptions are metal weapons and armour that need smithwork and strong alcohol, because drinking alcohol makes you more sensitive to the cold. It's an odd balance to role play. But like I said D&D isn't a perfectly thought out setting if you ask me. I advice people to check out the following website Northern Journey CampaignJust type in Auril in the search. And if you really want to read something interesting to combine with your passion for playing an Aurilite. Read the books of Michael Scott Rohan: The Winter of the World They are hard to get especially the last three parts, but they give a much more indepth and thought through view of how Auril should have been and a lot of elements can be intergrated. I've been doing it since I started playing.

Considering Auril's favoured weapon is the battle axe, I'd say she does not mind metal weapons.

Though for all intends and purposes it functions and looks much the same as a proper medieval war hammer. Regretfully there is only one good model for that in the game. Ice axeWar hammerThen I have to say I made my own character and the Church guards with axes. Heck Auril won't care what weapon you use, as long as it isn't on fire.

Quote: Favored weapon - Icemaiden's Caress (battleaxe) Copied from the 3.5 edition of faiths and pantheons for Auril, regardless. So it's unlikely she cares, really.

But the flavor is definitely neat! I don't discourage that. I'm just wary of letting limitations being put up when they aren't wholly legitimate.

Honestly I didn't intend any suggestion of putting up limitations, rather recuding some.
Icemaiden's Caress... Hmm well I read on the Northern Journey Campain website that priets use ceremonial ice axes. But like I said, who cares. But then I have to admit I'm no expert on the D&D text books. I just wanted to post some of my input and refer to some texts and books I found interesting and useful.
I'm basicly done, so let us have this discussion end here. Seriously read the books, they are masterworks of fiction. Nothing to do with D&D lore, but they give a great mentally to a member of an evil ice cult.

Northern Journey is just the homebrew campaign of a bunch of PnP DMs. Its version of the FR is significantly modified from canon, and anything you read there should be read as negotiable at best. Which doesn't necessarily mean it's not awesome. It's just not definitive.

Cant do it tomorrow evening, but I don't mind missing it every now and again. With the summer drawing to a close and the new semester starting up I'll be less available anyway. I'll know more after a couple of weeks when I settle into my schedule.
