Just a few questions I wasn't able to answer for myself on the wiki, forums etc...
When one's crafting skill is pitted against the craft item DC (2*powers), is it the skill PLUS a roll? Like 10 + 1d20? Or just a skill?
Furthermore, would putting on int-buffing items and craft/spellcraft +skill items bump up the success, or is it just calculated raw? In this case it seems any wizard can achieve a moderate level of mythal crafting or is it only easily done by those who invest skills? (I guess I don't have a good idea of just how high the DCs can get)
And what does this statement from the wiki mean : "Armor, Gloves and Weaponry may have a maximum of four benign powers, crafted or otherwise." and its kin, etc.? What are benign powers as opposed to the powers-powers? Does that mean it can only have a maximum of four attributes like "+3 ac, +5 pooping, Fire resist 10/ and regen +1"? Four benign powers?
I am also very confused by "All Powers are worth 1 Power, regardless of their Modifier except as noted below: Abilities are 1 power per modifier. For example 1 Dexterity is worth 1 power, while 3 Dexterity is worth 3 powers. All Armor Class bonuses, except Dodge: 1 to 3: 1 power, 4: 2 powers, 5 : 3 powers..."
So all powers are worth 1 power, except in the entire list of powers where 4 might equal 2, and 5 equals 3...?!? What are these 1 powers you speak of?

Benign power = a beneficial power. All properties are worth 1 power each, no matter how high the property, apart from what is noted. For example, +1 Listen is the same as +5 Listen, they're both only 1 power. However, +1 Strength = 1 power, and +2 Strength = 2 powers. Make sense?

Regen is also a little odd, as it's always 1 +1 per point of regen. So a ring with nothing but 2 regen on it has 3 powers (1 (base) + 2 (for 2 regen)).

So you're saying +20 listen would cost less powers than +2 strength (in theory)? I'd also still like to know how the rolls work

For rolls, the skill used depends on the slot. Craft weapon for weapons of any type, craft armor for armor/shields/helms I think, and spellcraft for all other items. The DC of the roll is determined by what's already on the item and what you're wanting to add. For example, a +4 keen longsword with +1d6 acid on it will have a higher DC if you're wanting to add +5 AB to it vs wanting to add massive crits +1
