I am so curious. Ive learned from players IC and out of Character that players RP does not have a chance to effect this island..this curse ..this whole thing. I hope its not true. Im not asking for things to suddenly change to let people have their way, but seems alot of effort in the past and current is not doing anything. Even to the comments of "Disco wanted Caraigh to be a "haunted Island"

Depends on the DM in charge of the area you want to change. The "curse" was much more prevalent in the past than it is now. Obviously, changes will come quicker in an area with a very active DM than one where the DM is strapped for time. I'm not saying this to pick on any DM, it's just a reality we face. Compelling RP that furthers the server's general direction will also get a faster response than say, fireballing an orphanage for the lulz. (Though they'll even dignify that from time to time).

There has been large and deep RP in the past...and I mean heavy RP

Official DM word is that no, there is no standing "it is impossible to lift this curse" on Caraigh. Just in case you were wondering. In fact, I know precisely how to do it myself, since I'm the one who wrote out a method of doing so...provided the DMs who are actually going to oversee the area like it and use it.

But question answered, so locked to avoid further spoilers and unnecessary OOC discussions that should take place IC.
