Is it possible to map every area in the server? Or is it only certain places that can be mapped out?

As far as I'm aware, every area could potentially be mapped, if you find them all and if you have 3 Ranks in the job.

Every area that you can reach can be mapped. I've cleared the 600 mark.

A quick question about the same job,

can a blank scroll used instead of "empty pages" or got to find someone who sells "empty pages".

It has to be the Empty Pages item from the Job System.

Another question:

Can you use a Scribe's desk to make copies of maps or do you need to visit the area each time to make them?

You have to visit the area each time.

One more question: do you have to take ranks in explorer to save 'pins' on your mini-map?

Nope.

But you do have to load them each time you log in with the shout commands if you want to see them in game.
