Silia Kenlyl and Taliira Kenlyl has been added to the list of allowed drow to the Dale, though neither of them may escort other drow into the Dale.

Mayor Laurel Beestinger is reported to have collapsed. The residents are told that she is currently in critical condition and have yet to awaken. It is not known if the Mayor will wake up after being mauled directly by the monstrosities known as Tar'zhen and pushing herself to fight to defeat the Chosen. An announcement is made in the Town Hall that Laurel's second, Deputy Mayor Missus will be in charge while the Mayor is in her coma. It remains uncertain if the Mayor will ever wake up at this time.

A hin shifter with dirt on her face, a blood crusted dagger, green eyes, and a feral demeanor is hereby banned. Uses a shield with forward facing spikes.

Crime is colluding with Godo the Goblin, who is a Kill on Sight criminal. Pretended to be Godo's enemy to lure me into a false sense of security, but then foolishly brought Godo back to Dale lands where they were observed plotting and harrassing travelers. Deceitful as the day is long, so take precautions. Godo refers to her as "Mistress" while she is shifted into Drow form and brings her gifts in the form of sweetberrys, arrows, and other trinkets. He demands passersby bow to her. She also takes the form of a Wyrmling if the need arises.

Citizens,
After due consideration and thought, some changes to our Laws and the duties of our Militia are being announced this day. The objective is to encourage travelers to visit our fine Dale and partake in our hospitality. To the extent that our current security practices may be one factor in the diminished trade and increased isolation of our Town, these changes represent our effort to remedy any negative impact while continuing to ensure the safety of our citizenry.

Actions ordered by the Mayor

• Main Gates are to be unlocked and openable by travelers (//remove racial gate function). Guards will guard and not be burdened with doorman duties.
• Two gate guards will hereby be positioned outside the gates on either side of the road. One main gate guard shall remain inside the gate continuously observing the town square.
• Hilltop Pyres will be extinguished and guards manning them disbursed to the following locations. One guard added to Holl Silvereye's station. One guard added to Skit Gwil's station. One guard returned to the drillmaster for assignment.
• Anti-Loitering Law recinded. Loiter to your hearts content. Feel free to jaywalk too while you are at it. No changes to any other Laws.
• Bobrin Torrowfire (//Propane Accessories) assigned to militia recruitment duties. Given some of our troopers have been bitten by the "wanderlust" bug, filling out the ranks is in order.

This represents just one facet of my plans to reconnect our Dale with the cities, villages, and hamlets or Amia. As decisions are finalized further announcements will be posted on the main message board.

After a recent negotiation with the Drivers, The Amia Cart Service business will be moving to a more convenient location at the Southeast corner of the town, between the wall and the road, directly across from the Road Warden Station and the Orchards. They will be granted a monthly allowance of apples and a daily pouring of cider. It's the least we can do for their years of servicing our communities transportation needs. In addition, all passengers will be allowed to disembark directly at the Cart Depot, rather than getting unceremoniously discharged at our borders.

It's escaped from sum sort of Beast-Slave-Racket or something. Description not needed, I've posted a picture I ripped from one of my books.

We need to form a hunting party:

Trackers
Hunters.

A hunting party and night would be best, we'll track it and find it when it's sleeping, drag it back to Bendir and have the biggest feast the towns ever seen.

The beast was tracked and slain. But no doubt others will come. So best be cautious.

After speaking with our friends in the Amia Forest and the "beast" itself I have the following to report:

The beast is named Laika and possesses some intelligence, though she lacks an understanding of civilized ways. Kaci of Nobanion is instructing her (she is female) on these matters. The following rules will apply effective immediately:

1) Laika is allowed to move through the roadways on our lands without threat of hunting by our guards or other travelers.
2) Laika is not allowed under any circumstances inside the walls of the town.
3) Laika is not allowed to touch, grab, bite, club, or otherwise assault any individual, whether citizen or otherwise, even kobolds.
4) Any aggression upon Laika is to be met with a shout of "guards" from her. Guards are instructed to arrest the aggressors as they would for attacks on any other visitors. Be vigilant!
5) Any breaking of this pact by Laika will result in her hide gracing the walls of my office.

Skull Crags foothills, some may notice Trolls extra irritated do to a pest they call that seems to decor them with feathers...feathers with shafts and lethal pointed tips.
This "pest" reeks of wine that one can buy from the pub in Bendir dale perhaps, which most likely you will see such empty bottles next to dead burnt up trolls and zig zag foot patterns trailing off.
Assuming most the trolls either panic or stir when they here a lute being played by this "pest", because
usually arrows follow after.

A host of delicious, robust smells have accompanied the delectable baked goods at Bemmi's tables near the front gates of Bendir Dale of late. The scent of a masterful chef has wafted over the walls and through the sleepy dale at seemingly random hours - sometimes accompanying a chilly nocturnal breeze, occasionally drifting pungently between fat drops of rainwater, and at points crawling over open windows to hook inside the nostrils of snoring Hin in the early mornings.

...trout glazed in brown sugar and served with tart, warm fruit cobbler... ham, spinach, artichoke, and cheese melted in honeyed rolls... savory lasagna pot pies... honey lime shrimp... quinoa with fresh corn and scallions in a lemon butter sauce... bananas wrapped in chocolate and crispy flatbread... crispy bacon cheddar potato cakes... roasted carrots in oil and spice... sour apple and sharp cheddar bacon melts... mashed sweet potatoes with succulent lamb slices... tenderloin medallions in mashed cauliflower with goat cheese and a vinaigrette-based dressing...

...these and many other succulent, mouth-watering flavors waft up from time to time, as the presence of a tall, darkly-skinned and quiet chef seems to hide in plain sight. He is ever so quick with a knife and meticulous about his workspace, but he attacks the components with the zeal of a sorcerer in his element. After lightening the Ingredients Merchant's stall and practicing his craft, he cleans up his workspace and stows most of the food, thanking Bemmi for their hospitality even though little of the baker's space was used.

...then he disappears again for a time, leaving memories to cool like pies on the windowsill.

The Cleric is named Beatrix. She is human, wears Bane's symbol openly on her plate armor, and summons a Geared Guardian servant. She is also guilty of murdering a Hin in cold blood at Kampos Storehouse, which I witnessed personally. She was accompanied by some associates, who took no action, leaving the grisly task to her alone. I saw 3-4 in addition to the Shifter and Mage previously noted.

Based on this, her Ban includes a Kill-on-Sight order.

The attached request has been received at my office from an Official of the City of Cordor. In the Hin spirit of community inclusiveness and given that I do not consider myself to have the Authority of Office to answer this request unilaterally, I'm posting it for one week to gather comments from any citizen who wishes to post them.

Obviously, as this request edges close to questions of sovereignty and given the risk of putting the Dale on a slippery slope with regards to what actions are permissible on our lands by authorities of other communities, I put the question to the public. I, of course, have my own views which I may elaborate on prior to the closing of the comment period. But you need not wait for me and I do not wish to unduly influence potential commentors - Speak and be heard.

Once a consensus is reached or we have argued ourselves hoarse (whichever comes first), I will make an appropriate response to the requestor.

A strong-figured, golden blond Halfling is seen leaving a note in Town Hall. It reads:

Dear Mayor, Captain, and any other Town Elective,

I am leaving this note here as today I was approached by a woman who came by saying that the War Knights wish to meet. I am kindly passing this message on for her.... however I wanted to add one thing, if I may... and I apologize for the length of it:

This woman told me this after a fight had broken out on the Shire's Land. Chromatics (For the second time, let the record show) had their weapons out in our town. Myself and a War Knight were able to get them to put them away... before two new Tallers came out and provoked them into a full scale battle. It ended up one of the Chromatic Kin dieing and a taller dieing and the War Knight who tried to stop it by assisting me dieing. We then let the a-live Chromatic retrieve her dead kin and for the Provocative Taller to get his dead friend and the War Knight. I felt we were lucky to find a common ground before more blood was shed on our grass.

The Chromatics left, but this is the second time I have had to speak with them. Then the Provactive Tallers who escalated the fight with the Chromatics (while myself and the War Knight were managing to keep it peaceful until then), insulted our home and hearth, and that we were injustified. I made it very clear that one should read our laws, visit our idol of Yondalla, and leave if they do not like who we are and we stand for.

A quick summary for my first initial contact with the blue-kin: She threatened a Resident and myself and another had to battle her. We faught her off, but we both fell in the process. A kind resident named Kira came and saved us, and a Taller scared the blue-kin off. We were forced to attack her as she continued to threat my friend (the other resident of Bendir Dale) and refused to disarm.

This is why I have sent in my application to become a militia member. We must not let our community fall in this anarchy. I include all these events in this note as I seem to run in different circles then you lot and have not had the pleasure of meeting most of you yet. I apologize that I was not able to tell you this in person. I simply want the best for our community, and wish to bring you all up to date as to some of the events that have recently taken place in our beloved community.

Just because they're asking nicely whether they can come to the Dale and bully people, doesn't make it not bullying people any more. If they were chasing down some sort of murderers or something that would be different, but if they can't even tell us what these guys did wrong, then it's probably because they didn't do anything wrong at all. I think Cordor should go shove off.
