This isn't so much a Lore question, but a question about how the lycanthropy disease works on Amia. Can existing characters be bitten and become were-whatevers? Or is it only for new characters?

Also, is the lycanthropy disease easily treatable? Would it be likely that a character could unwillingly become a were-creature when there are so many clerics about?

EDIT: *checks source... looks stupid.*

Jess' post is pretty much entirely wrong, please ignore it.

Request only, in both cases, but both are possible.

"Easily treatable"... if you catch it before the first transformation, before which you display no symptoms whatsoever. Extremely possible that unwilling infection occurs.

Worth noting that afflicted lycanthropes can't spread the infection.

Or during exceptional DM events...

That counts as a request.

Yup. Except Lyle. But the infection he spreads is... something else. :D

Your getting confused between Lyle and Andrew. . .Andrew carries a sword named Stars Traverse Darkness. . .or STD.

They can both remove disease no problem.

Any ways, any more question about Lycanthropy?

Can Lycanthropy be cured if you get it?

Only in the early stages when there was no more development (aka no transformation/mutation/whateveritscalled)

Not true. If you're afflicted, there are ways to get rid of Lycanthropy no matter how long you've had it. It should all be in the Monster Manuel.

I thought the server treated it as considerably more difficult than put in the Monster Manual?

I dunno anything about that if that's true. I would think that that's only true because of the hero types who randomly cast spells on people to cure them of whatever is wrong, so as to stop them from "curing" a Lycan PC.

Yeah, and the high magic style of the server. That's why I thought about it.

It is more difficult, but possible.
