Flame weapon used in game is an evocational spell which means the character virtually creates the flames and attaches them to an object {i.e. weapon}

I have read or heard (can't remember) somewhere that flames from that weapon however do not jump onto other objects which means they can't set a forest on fire or leave burn injuries on a body.

My question is would the heat emanating from the flames be capable of melting down ice or even warming someone up?

I always imagined FW to create +100celsius fire which simply hurts upon touch but doesn't leave a scar, but following that logic it also should melt down ice then.

Thoughts?

then another problem arises... as an Aurilite I get tired of gritting my teeth and jumping every single person who casts Flame Weapon so for now I made her repeat to herself its just an ethereal illusion and it doesn't affect the real world.

Is that something I should stop doing consideration it actually does fly in Auril's face (although if I keep turning my back on everyone Ill eventually end up incapable of partying with anyone)

Ask them to use Cold Weapon.

I could but at low levels nobody has the BoT and yet there is only a handful of them who I can party with.

And honestly, as much as I love to yell at people for using a fireball at these lvls its a bit hard to turn my back on everyone with FW, itd get me stuck lvling alone for some time (as I recall BoTs are not easy to find)

Its a choice between RPing your character correctly or compromising one thing to be able to RP with someone and Im torn between what to choose, hence Im asking.

I personally would commit more to the roleplay as it would make the character more plausible, believable and enjoyable for everyone, even if it reeuces the pace at which I level.

The obvious answer is to stick to your RP, no matter how hard it makes levelling.
