Two individuals wearing Wiltun colors and one half-elf dressed in blue, drop what the taller one in green would describe as a Svirfneblin which they found acting oddly in Wiltun.

They would go on to describe marks of torture around the neck of this Svirfneblin and an odd knack for following orders blindly, but no real cognizance past the impulse to obey. He would be left in the care of the skilled clerics and the three would depart.

Whilst at home preparing to retire for the night Dawnmaster Llinyarrii recieved a sending from Talana of Salandran Temple. She advised her roommate Dawnsinger Ar'ellin'ah that they were needed there so they departed immediately.

Upon arrival they were greeted and briefed concerning this new patient in the temple. See for yourselves was Talana's comment so inside they went to be presented to a deep gnome and a large spider summons. Immediately Dawn (Ar'ellin'ah) recognized it as a funnelweb common to the underdark. Dawn having had a shady past and versed in the languages of the underdark decided to try to speak to the deep gnome in it's native undercommon he responded right away although in a limited way. Eventually Talana and the Dawnmaster retired leaving Dawn and her curiosity alone with the patient.

The report that follows is a detailed account of what she had learned. This report is sealed with a yellow dob of wax bearing the signet of Lathander. It's given to the Cleric in the sanctuary with specific instructions to deliver this to Priestess Talana -only-. The report is written in a very fine elven hand but in common and lettering of gold it reads as follows;

Priestess Talana,

I've spent some time with the patient and my findings are alarming to say the least. I tried to communicate with both the patient and simple communication with the spider, the latter of course being futile. I used my knowledge of lore to try and remember if I had read or heard anywhere of simular cases such as this one. The only ones that came to mind was that of Illithid and the possibility of brain damage. I'm no medical professional so I'll leave that speculation to your study. What I -have- found out is the patient's spirit so to speak was broken. He has little if no identity of who his is or even what possibly. There is evidence on his body of severe torture. He's been beaten into submission literally. One thing I did notice is he's wearing items with arcane runes on them that signify regeneration, and yet he still has scars seems he's willingly not letting these scars heal.

He responds to simple commands like that of someone's pet. He does this however only if he understands the language that is being spoken namely undercommon. I'll list a few basic commands I was able to discover after a day of intense study. He will Sit, Stay, Dismiss Summon, Follow, Sleep and Eat. He -will- eat everytime you tell him even to the point of his stomach bursting so make sure he is measured closely as to his food intake. I'm sure other simple common commands like Guard Me and Attack is also in his command list much like that of a summons. As far as I can tell he poses no threat to himself or anyone else, and it seems to me that apparently the spider takes care of him, of course this is just speculation. Something however must make him eat. I don't know if he would eat on his own or not.

If you need any further assistance I'll be at the Chapel of Lathander in Cordor or a sending like that you sent Dawnmaster Llinyarrii would be acceptable as well. I took him outside to cook him something to eat seeing that he was hungry. Once finished I decided to place him in the recovery wing and told him to sleep. While I was leaving I requested the guard not let him leave should he attempt to do so. I'm not sure if he honored my request or not. I didn't not register him in the recovery wing as I had little or no information on him. I'll be visiting there daily to assist in communication if needed and simply to check up on him. I pray he can be helped to live a more independent life. Noone should have to live like someone elses pet.

By the next day the patient has disappeared. It seems he may have snuck out while the guard wasn't looking. A Vial of Funnelweb venom is left on the bedside table where he was, placed neatly in the center, unlabeled.

That would be incredibly amazing considering all the nurses on call, the guards posted and the doctors working. So amazing it's probably metagaming.

Latest rp concerning Thulward:

Dawn returned to the Temple as promised and met up with Talana as well as priestess there that gave her insight as well on the perculiar case. They've determined some interesting things as they discussed and performed more magic on him to gain further insight to his condition. A condition that has been apparently unpresedented to date. He shows no sign of physicl head trauma or surgery so the only conclusion is what has been done to him has been done mentally. What follows is a few screenshots of the rp that took place as well as other discoveries and what they concluded.

After the last session with Thulward it was decided to get the help of a wizard. Dawn contacted Adela and Sanna to assist. Adela probed his mind with a detect thoughts spell as Dawn questioned him.

(sorry I had a much more detailed story of the session but lost it when I hit the preview button the screenies tells the story mostly though.)

Thulward has come back to revisit the temple. Any word of mouth would say he comes to sit in the chair across from where he once slept, and just stares at the bed for an hour or two before wandering off again.

Dawn, having recieved a letter from Justin replies and makes her way to the Salandran Temple when time permits. Her reply is simular to Adela's concerning a visit.

Sir Justin is gratified to see at last two acknowledgemnts about the gnome. He continues to to visit the gnome as much as his pressing duties permit. His attention focused on the defence of Kohlingen given the nearby Talonite threat.

During Sir Justin's brief visit today, he and Thulward side by side cleaned the entire recovery wing, sweeping the dust from underneath the beds, and brushing out the rugs. Any who would have seen it might have found it funny, seeing a small gnome cleaning quickly, efficiently, and silently, next to the knight in plate lumbering behind with a broom.
