Posted at the entrance to Edonil, the Melee Magthere, the Sorcere, and the Temple. Written in bold bright lettering on a sturdy wooden plaque is the following announcement.
Attention. People of the City of Webs. The Sorcere is gearing up to a major experiment utilizing and increasing the skills of its zhaunin and m'elzar. It will focus on the healing properties and life cycles of reptilian and amphibious species, and as such will require many samples so that a large class can be filled. Any specimen is acceptable, live is prefered and will confer compensation in gold as the condition of the specimen warrants. An extra compensation will be given for live intelligent specimens which can answer questions during the experiment.
* Non-living specimens can expect a minimum of 50 gold in compensation and are to be delivered to the tent behind the Sorcere building or the nearest Faern.
* Living specimens can expect a minimum of 200 gold in compensation and are to be delivered to a Faern for disposition to the Sorcere and secured.
* Intelligent specimens can expect a minimum of 5000 gold in compensation and are to be brought to the attention of the Ul'faeruk for payment and disposition.
The Sorcere naturally appriciates your time and effort.

The Ul'faeruk looks up from his notes in interest and takes the offered vial with the aid of a hankerchief, gingerly and with two fingers. He deposits it in a rack on his lab bench with care and makes a note in his book. "By chance did the creature in question say anything of import before giving this donation?"

Lately, Victyr had been greedily eyeballing the lizard Beldan'aun Qos'yutsu rode around on. In his attempt to discretely trail his mark around the city, he could often be seen half poised behind some pillar, or peeking out from behind a mushroom a little too small to disguise his bulky figure.
