A letter is returned to Commonwealth of Cordor.
Salutations Artum Tauri,
Thank you for your letter, Artum. We are glad to hear you have enjoyed your visit to the Dale. We have heard of recent attack once again in Guldorand and our hearts ache for the continued trouble in that region.
While we believe your efforts have been noble, we, the Dale, are offering our aid to our friends in Guldorand, not to Cordor or the goal of the Commonwealth itself. Our invitation to the refugees from Guldorand as well as our efforts to take donations have been in its inception before Commonwealth decided to assist Guldorand in these matters. Therefore, I will need to speak to the Mayor of Guldorand for the Dale to offer any more help on their behalf. While we are currently taking donations in coordination with Sir Robert in the Hinn Inn, we are merely a temporary drop-off location until the supplies are taken up to Guldorand.
Our military forces are not inexhaustible. If you believe bringing large amount of gold and jewelry will bring danger to Guldorand, the same can be argued for the Dale. I cannot therefore agree to your current proposal given the risk it may bring to the citizen of the Dale, as well as the refugees of Guldorand we protect here in our home. It is my suggestion to secure the ruins with Cordor's own forces, seeing as you claim this is a venture for the Commonwealth.
The Dale has citizens of different trade here in our Town. If the people of Guldorand desires to learn any of our trade, we are more than happy to pass down our knowledge of bakery, milling, cooking, farming, and gardening so that they can bring the skills back to use for the prosperity of Guldorand.
In the mean time, we, the Dale, shall continue to offer assistance to our friends from Guldorand as we have been with a place to stay, warm food to eat, and to accept donations temporarily which we send to Guldorand on daily basis.
With Hearthkeeper's Blessing, Laurel Beestinger

Honored Mayor Beestinger,
Thank you for your letter and all the great kindness and aid you have and are extending to the people of Guldorand. There seems to be some confusion as to my concerns and requests with both you and the good Knights of the Triad concerning the supplies and the funds.
I hope to clear this with you both.
The supplies, be they humanitarian, medical or building, going to the ruins of the village I have no issue with whatsoever and in fact, it does my heart good to see the stockpiles in the cave. Most creatures might take some food or the odd healing kit but, there is little danger of attack to steal that which most see as not overly valuable save to the people of Guldorand who need all this to return to a normal life.
The gold and jewels are another matter entirely. It is as a sweet flower to a bee. It is an attraction for the giants and other creatures of the mountains as well as the most undesirable sort of people.
While I understand that bringing it to the Dale would indeed put your people at risk, you can certainly see where if this is the case, where you have fortified walls and militia to guard yourselves, the people left in Guldorand who have none of this are at an even greater risk.
What I ask is that the funding that is valuable be moved to the Morgan and Son's storehouse for safe keeping. I am sure they can move it to a location that is outside the Dale and secure as well as not plainly known. As you can imagine, having chests of gold and jewels sitting in ruins is not secure regardless of how many guards are guarding it.
Bendir Dale is simply the closest location to which to move this to but, if you have safety concerns, I do understand and will see about other places as I can.
As it was brought by the Knights and there is some contention between the Commonwealth and Kohlingen it seems neither of these places will be acceptable as a solution.
There are a great many people from Cordor coming to the aid of the people of Guldorand in addition to the survivors. These are workers and tradesmen, not soldiers are guardsmen.
Would it be allowed that they too could come and learn trade skills from the masters in Bendir Dale?
And of course, any advice you can offer me so that I may give the best benefit to the people of Guldorand from my position with the Commonwealth would also be a great boon. I have concerns about the political situation causing further suffering to the people when it is needless.

The Mayor, unswayed in her position, gives a similar response addressed to Artum in Commonwealth.
Salutations Artum Tauri,
What you are requesting is neither feasible nor reasonable. We, the Dale, are already defending the refugees of Guldorand as if they are one of our own inside our very walls. We have our own threats in the Dale in all four directions of the settlement, whether it be mylocks, orcs, trolls, or gnomes of Urdlen. This is on top of the same threats that all settlement of Amia face such as the recent activities of those that call themselves Banites, that raid and attack whatever prey they deem fit. To knowingly ask something that could further put our citizens and our refugees of Guldorand at risk is nonnegotiable.
I will advise the Commonwealth once again to seek Cordorian forces to provide security in affairs that is directly affiliated with Cordor. There are more ways to ensure security of these funds you have raised concerns about than having a chest in middle of a ruin. I suggest you seek militant commanders and strategists of Cordor to assist you in your endeavors.
With Hearthkeeper's Blessing, Laurel Beestinger

Laurel sees notes by Waldo and Missus, giving a humored chuckle as she replies to both of them. Below Waldo's scribble, she writes down in her usual handwriting:

For Missus's note, she writes:
I love hot chocolate! This chat is mandatory!

Captain Pilineth has recently resigned from the Shield Unit. In her place, Sergeant Sally Torrowfire will now be the Captain of the Shield Unit. In addition, due to Captain Lyam's months of absence, Deputy Mayor Missus will now be the Acting Captain of the Blade Unit.
All Militia Members, the Corporal rank that has been invented by Captain Lyam has also been removed. The ranks we will be using will be traditional ranks of the Dale ranking from Captain, Lieutenant, Sergeant, and Private.

Due to the hardworks of many, it appears that the Vodak threat has passed for the time being. Mayor Laurel Beestinger,
I have been informed that the people of Bendir Dale have been taking donations of supplies for Guldorand. I would like to meet with you to take a full inventory of supplies that have been gathered so that we at Copper Industries know how much we still need to gather for the construction that we will be heading. If you have a free moment, I will do my best to meet with you when you are able.

Hello Miss Zelly,
I would be more than willing to meet with you in person. We have given quite a few of what we were given to Guldorandi already, though there are of course some donations that we are still keeping here.
There are also larger materials that people have offered to donate for Guldorand, though they are kept on their persons at the moment due to the availability of space in the Hinn Inn. I can provide you with their contact information, so that you can speak to these individuals directly as I am no expert in construction.

Notice posted in the Town Hall as always. The forms are left with Cindle.Dear Citizens of Our Beloved Dale,
As we are preparing ourselves to make new installations in the Dale, we would like to hear your thoughts on some of our proposed changes here in the Dale. As it is difficult to coordinate a Town Hall meeting with all citizens attending, we would like to make it a poll so that everyone has a chance to participate.
Please pick a form from the Town Hall to voice your opinion! Please then return the completed form with our lovely Cindle so that we can move on with these new projects with your thoughts in mind.

1. Please tell us which work stations you would like to see added to our upcoming Crafting Hall (Maximum of 3). Mythal Forge, if that's already established and we're going for 3 ones other than that: Gem Cutting Station Scribe's Desk* Inventor's Table* *Assuming either of these would be put instead into the Town Hall, the two replacements, in order of preference are Leather Worker's table Weaver's Loom
2. Would you like to see the merchant stalls moved back into the Square rather than in the northern part of the Dale? I am no merchant, but it certainly would bring some more excitment if adventurers would be more inclined to open a store due to the stalls being in a higher traffic area. So I suppose I'm a yes to that
