I really don't grasp your sense of factions. One faction with X Members + One faction with Y members= A faction with X+Y members. It doesn't give you more people to RP with.

It doesn't strengthen both factions either, it nullifies the specific dogma's of the factions. What you're probably meaning is one 'bastion' of factions that have a few common goals to give a Good Vs Evil theme. The HoA is a faction that sets itself apart by countering the current setting that is Amia. It's the faction that wants to break the pattern of the current factions;

The Church of Bane and the HoA can't in my opinion ever merge together. The Church of Bane wants to reign over the Forgotten Realms by the means of fear. The HoA have a military structure whereas The Church of Bane is a faith, hence the Clergy rule it. Even if you consider the Clergy officers over their different branches (Iron Gauntlet, etc), the means are just too different.

Before you're argumenting further on 'merging factions'. The HoA and the Church of Bane worked together on a few occasions. I hence don't see the need to make that 'bastion'. Different factions cater to different characters and this is what creates better RP.

Make a constructive, argumented post if you're replying. Your one-liners won't get you elected for anything but the Amian Awards.

Hah, thanks. Where I failed you put it much more eloquently. Course, I'm at work and in a rush sooo... yeah.

That's essentially all of what I meant, as well. The climate of the HoA is vastly different than the others I have observed/heard about. Also, that was my point on the Banites and HoA: They are similar, but still far too different to merge. I just don't see any others like the HoA, since the HoA don't care about personal faith, just military structure.

Exactly why it wont work :P You may find the odd Banite in the Horsemen, but a whole church? Not a chance. Banites would want to run the show and the current leaders wouldn't put up with that. Alliances are the way to go, not merging. That would be like merging two Drow Houses together, even if they share the same deity do you think either Matron Mother would graciously step down to allow the next to rule? Though this is Amia, anything is possible in that regard

Well, if you don't merge or (make some serious recruiting) you won't have enough members to reform the faction. Merging with another faction (Not necessary the banites) makes an upstart easier.
See where i am getting at?

They could, however we are back tot he same point: The HoA don't have any groups they would 'mesh' with. Also, what IC reasoning would there be? 'Oh man, we lost a lot of people. Let's abandon our group and flee to another?' I just don't see the HoA doing that, as they would likely rather disband than anything.

Wrong approach.

See it as an alliance of some sort. An exchange of services, A trade agreement, etcetetc
These are my suggestions to revive the faction easier.

... wtf WHY did I put 'I could' ... I'm totally not thinking. Fixed. ANYWAYS

You suggested a merger, not an alliance. HoA already do alliances, from what has been posted, so I think they have that on lock? Just my impression.

I'll note your login...go ahead and put your character name down also to help me out I'll note that too, we'll tackle recruiting later. I'll have to get a feel IG on how bad off the HoA is and what rp will be needed to get them back up and running. Since I've been gone I have -no- idea whats been going on. Don't spoil it for me though, I'd rather rp in game the situation, and get to know all the new members should be fun lol and interesting, especially for the new ones that don't know Apocalypse(Rose). Look forward to it all, I'll be looking for you all in game. Now back to the installation. *pulls hair out*

-update-
*glues hair back on after getting everthing sorted*

I'm up and running DL'ing the haks now, I'll drop in shortly and take a look around.

This won't excuse your faction from the IC consequences that are already being put into motion.
