Artum would seek out the courier with his package and a letter.
He would further move about the people, joyfully being part of their excitement and adding in how nice it is that they have the opportunity to meet Nicolai Dobraun, have a expedited citizenship within Cordor as well as the added protection the new elite guard division will bring, especially given the attacks by the giant(s) he personally suffered yesterday and spread the news that Cordor is making great efforts to ease their suffering and put them back to work as soon as possible which would be as soon as the negotiations with Nicolai Dobraun are concluded.

Krugan would make note of things, quietly watching all around him but still helping Amenia with things and tending to people while keeping a watchful eye out for Banites and others.

A large tiefling wanders about the ruins and the regions south, occasionally making lone forays to drive back some of the bolder giants and other creatures encroaching on what is left of the settlement. He occasionally also makes forays into the deeper reaches of the Hold to keep the Bugbears in check.

A certain graying-haired half-elf strolls through the wreckage, skin ruddy with cold as he whistles to himself - blissfully unaware of the monstrously sized brown bear following ponderously in his wake. The druid and his beast pause every now and again, either to reassure any frightened locals that "old Methusela wouldn't hurt a fly!" (a statement always followed up by a deep ursine grunt) or to examine the damage more closely. On occasion, they collect cuttings and samples from whats left of the local trees (if anything!).
If stopped and questioned, the half-elf cheerily responds that he and his bear have been "hired by Artum and Nevaeh to help guard the site, clear the wreckage, do heavy lifting, and aid in overseeing sustainable logging practices."

Once again the Seneschal of the Triadic knights is seen within Guldorand providing aid in the form of tents, blankets, cooking pots, and food. The knights of the order are a regular presence as they bring such supplies.
Hearing from the people of Guldorand that the owner Nicholai would be arriving. Sir Justin leaves 232,055 gold and a letter outlining a proposal that would could recover Guldorand's losses while aiding in its rebuilding and create new trade to make Guldorand independent and prosperous community. The gold and the offer like the supplies are given without any obligation of repayment.

"Thank you Sir Justin once more for the hand outs of food and aid but I ask that the gold be kept elsewhere as such a large sum would be sure to attract more trouble to these people of Guldorand almost assuredly. There are already far to many undesirables coming to plague these people as well as incursions by giants already looking to profit from the towns destruction. Banites have been seen about also with dragons, as witnessed by the War Marshal Malatril and even if the chests of gold can be protected, the devastation even an attempt at gaining such a large sum would be great as just two hellballs supposedly did all this. 'he would motion to the wreckage and then to the people, the wounded and the bodies that have not yet been tended due to the cold and no proper blessings and preparations' The great kindness of the people of the island by providing so much food and humanitarian aid in such great quantities is already bringing the spiders, giants, bears and other creatures from around the ruined town. What would a king's ransom in gold bring?" He will then go back to preparing the bodies for proper burial and tending the sick and wounded, asking for healing kits as needed and using his prayers for the more serious cases of poisoning from the spiders, or any diseases or even wounds that need immediate attention mentioning as he does that it is better to send paper that is worthless to anyone but the people it pertains to then chests of gold and gems that can be easily stolen and thus, endangering people that already have suffered to much.

With many of the refugees now settled into the northern parts of the Dale, Laurel can be seen offering freshly cooked mean for the refugees inside the Dale. Eggs seems to be a regular part of the breakfast that she offers, while she occasionally offers sweets such as cookies and pies for children.

Sir Justin takes the advice and confers with the Mayor to see the if the Gustav would like the Triaics to take the gold into safe keeping until Nicholai arrives.
//Funds were given to the DM Mask so I cannot just remove them.
"I hope that the regular presence of our Order's Triadics on their supply runs to Guldorand and Khem. Including Lady Nicha Hetfield and Squire Sarov who are assigned to help Guldorand in particular are of assistance in maintaining peace for this community."
Sir Justin then continues going about distributing the runs supplies before moving on to Ne'sek. On his return from the desert he he forays into the mounatin to trim back the bugbear presence.
Then he proceeds to survey the community to see that all is as well as can be expected. Last he moves out to clear the nearby mountain of immediate giant and monsterous threats.

Upon awaking from his bed at Halfast in the Triumvirr, Morshkul heads down to get breakfast for Min and him. While awaiting for breakfast to be made, he notices the portal to the Logjammer blocked with rubble. He never uses the portal for anything but considering his recent assignment, he thought he should check it out after breakfast. He returns upstairs with breakfast and after enjoying it with Min, he lets her know he is heading up to Guldorand to get a look at the damage.
Upon arriving in Guldorand after the long walk from Bendir Dale, he sees just how extensive and complete the damage is. He spots to his surprise a lone Triadic Knight. At first and seemingly out of instinct, his hand reaches for his blade. He then remembers his current situation, and withdraws his hand as the knight draws near. The knight is pleasant enough with his blessings, and in keeping with his current assignment, Morshkul was as pleasant as he could be in return. With pleasantries out of the way, Morshkul ask if there was anything he could do to help, and the knight simply ask if he would clear back the giants and other critters from the road and mountain. Morshkul agreed to the simple enough task and made a patrol. Upon completing the patrol, he returned reporting his success to Mayor Gustav as per the knights request. He then left, returning to the Triumvirr.

Squire Illyana Sarov of the Triadic Knights would send a brief missive to the attention of the Guldorandi refugees, speaking thus:
To whom it may concern,
I am sorry for my delay in responding to these actions visited upon a community I once called home when I was younger, but I am sending word to offer up my services as a Stonmason alongside building materials to help rebuild Guldorand when it is time.
Whom should I send my resources to? I will also personally donate what gold I can spare in addition to anything already donated.
Squire Illyana Sarov

Sir Justin regained concious life once more as he looked up to see brother Senior Squire Jerand Whiterose standing over him. The brother looked at Sir Justin's and the circle of destruction about the once fallen knight.
There were a few bodies of those innocents of Guldorand who had been caught in the same hellball blast that had felled the knight. He had seen the flash of the blast on his approach and the kinight and the ground was still smouldering on his arrival.
Together they buried those who had fallen and could not be raised saying a prayer for the dead. Fortunately most of the Guldorand people had moved away from the knight when he moved to place himself between them and the the undead.
"We do not know who would send undead and attack a knight who was actively feeding, guarding and helping the people of Guldorand rebuild their lives. It is apparent they fear you and us for they attack from secret.
Perhaps the original attack was no accident but an attempt to drive you good people from your livelihood and homes.
What I do know is that while those behind this last attack show that they care not for the hungry and the homeless for they seek to stop those who would feed you and assist you during this time of need.
We must go now to aid the miners in Endir's Point but we will return with more friends. Just as evl rose up against Cyren Mills and was defeated so it will be defeated here, in Khem and in Endir's point.
Do not lose heart though the struggle may be long and hold set backs. Look to the histories the fall of the Banite Keep, the silencing of the Undoer, the liberation of Cyren Mills and many other events from vampire counts to the cursed Kohlingen Manor good has and always will prevail."
With that Sir Justin collects what he could salvage of his gear and moved on to the crises in Endir's point.

Artum goes about tending the dead and wounded once more, this time with a deepened frown on his face.
"I told them. Its that king's ransom in gold that is drawing more attackers here. The Knights have many enemies and they are seeking them when they are distracted and that added gold is too much of a temptation. They should have left it elsewhere or in the Holy City where it can be kept safely and not further endanger these people." he can be heard to utter as he moves about the people trying to ease their suffers.
"Blessed is the help so many have send to these people. It is needed and a great kindness but, bringing such wealth here was foolish. It is as the sweet flower to a hive a bees. I hope Nicolai will see the need to have a permanent guard here. Cordor is offering to do just that, provide a permanent guard to make sure these attacks stop and these people are finally safe. At least as safe as possible. To be sure, at least some sturdy walls and an elite guard unit will give more protection then they have now."
He will spend most of his time tending the people, the wounds and once more, preparing the dead for proper burial, shaking his head ever more worried about the continued attacks. He will have some special treats for the children, some bolts of fabric and wool for the women along with weaving tools and will quietly bring several boxes of ale for the men who, by this time, have gone a fairly long time without much in the way of their normal relaxation.
Decks of cards, dice, many books with pictures as well as words, some perfumes and scented oils from the Temple of Love and other pleasantries for the women of the region will also be brought in from Cordor and the Temple along with continual light globes to aid in the illumination of the cave without the soot and smoke of fires.
He remains quite busy tending to the site and its people, often speaking with Gustov and even comforting about his personal crisis and counseling him about his wife.

Illyana would stop in Bendir Dale, having bene shown to the Guldorandi , she would try her best to catch up with them and offer a hand if there was anything they needed for the immediately, as a Paladin of Torm.
Of particular note, she had lived in Guldorand for her early years and although it had been some time since she'd really visited there or spoken with the people, she would nonetheless be as warm as they would allow her to be.

A red bearded dwarf can be seen wandering around the ruins. If asked what he's doing he simply says he's taking measurements to rebuild the place. He takes a small hammer and taps it along what's left of walls to determine how much of the original stone can be used and jots down on a scroll estimates of how much lumber and stone it's going to take to repair some of the lesser buildings. He has a length of rope knotted at 1 foot increments and he lays it down to get the dimensions of the old buildings as well as measuring plots on the ground where no buildings had existed.

Artum will attend the dwarf, staying out of his way but obviously talking, questioning and directing him to various sites and discussing how best to establish buildings and defenses. He will however simply state what he would like to see built and then leave the dwarf to his work, asking that estimates for building materials quantities, time required, cost in manpower and golds (etc) be given to him as quickly as possible.
He will make sure to also talk to the people still there, telling them of the great rebuilding that is about to take place and then travel to Bendir Dale and do the same.
He will also thank the Hins for their hospitality, specifically the Mayor and Deputy Mayor if he sees them.
He will then stop in Cordor, checking with the Ministry of Labor about the extra laborers that should becoming from his flyers around the city and the newspaper ads he paid to be ran for a week. He will direct the skilled tradesman and the laborers to Guldorand with the escort of the guards assigned to the area then head back to Guldorand.
Once back in Guldorand, he will seek out a Triadic Knight leader and thank them for their help also and discuss where the supplies for the rebuilding will be stored and ask them to get with the Captain about moving the gold to a safer location as well as the supplies.
(Items to be built will be sent in a PM to the DMs)

A certain half-elf with grayshot hair continues to pick through the rubble aimlessly, occasionally bringing a few slabs of fresh meat (venison, mostly. Mostly.) up with him to be stewed down and passed around to those that remain in Guldorand. He seems to spend most of his time these days watching the road into town with that monstrously large bear of his, occasionally pausing in his vigil to draft a letter or two, or sketch out a few quick doodles with a charcoal stick on scraps of paper and wood.

Sir Justin again returns to assist the people. He looks for the Mayor and those such as Artum who have been active in Guldorand's recovery to discuss its future including permission to send letters asking those of good heart to come and aid in the protection of Guldorand.
To Justin it seems obvious that the attack on himself was either because he was a Triadic or because he was involved in rebuilding and aiding Guldorand. Why else would the victors not have taken what valuables survived the blast let alone not robbed the Mayor of the donated gold.
Second the enemy was powerful enough to have have defeated Justin without such massive destruction that killed some of the people. So they obviously, sought to do more than kill one Triadic knight engaged in feeding, rebuilding and protecting the people.
Last, could it be that the initial destruction itself was not some mere random destruction of hot headed adventurers but rather an attempt to destroy and drive off the people of Guldorand.
"Mayor Gustav are your people prepared to rebuild this place. If so then let those interested in the community's well being come to its aid to fortify and rebuild."

Artum will nod to Sir Justin when they meet.
"Sir Justin, the good Captain is to co-ordinate the moving of the funds to a safer location. Praise be to the gods that it remains and is not melted to slag. I suggest Bendir Dale if Mayor Beestinger will allow it as it is the closest strong settlement and there is a storehouse where it can be kept.
Perhaps we can get one of those donation boxes I have seen in the Nomad in Cordor set up near the gnome's tower and some guards be placed there to keep it safe?
I agree that the attack seemed directed toward you specifically though, not you. As you have stated, perhaps it is the enemies of the Triadic Knights that are to blame for this devastation. The attack was simply a way to pull more of your Order into one place and thus, make it easier for them to fell you.
As the attack seems to be directed at the Triadic Knights, perhaps we should limit the time the Order is within the land of Guldorand and increase the patrols of the surrounding areas. Especially toward the Banite Keep ruins and through the portal to Ne'Sek. This will limit the exposure of the civilians to more attacks I hope. We can have Cordorian Guards sent here either of the good Captain's command or perhaps, as it appears I will be staying on here, under my own civilian authority if the Council so deems it. I will ask and see what advice the Captain has and what can be done about it."
He will accompany Sir Justin to the Mayor and encourage him to begin organizing his people to set up Palisades for defense and then direct what Cordorian laborers there are to assist him however the Mayor needs. The sawyers, stonemasons and smiths will be also told to report to Tagnar and begin work on rebuilding the stone meeting hall that can along be used to store supplies, be a defensible keep should the need arise and also a shelter for many people.

Artum met with the magi that would head up the Arcane Research division he was going to need and hired a second dwarven stonemason, Bogar, to help with the plans and reconstruction efforts in Guldorand. Kampos was rather busy this evening but, the tea and warmth felt good for a change. Once matters were tended to and contracts signed and copies given to all parties, he took the dwarf with him to Guldorand via portal.
The pair went over the lands, with Artum showing him where he wanted the stone walls and gates built, there there was a mountain stream coming out of the cliff face that could possibly be expanded into a cave system to increase the defensibility of the town and where the idol to Grumbar was that needed to be moved, a few rooms added there and the places where guard posts could be set up inside the cave complex where the bugbears were. Then, they proceeded to scout the mountains for quarry sites and Artum showed Bogar a good place for Granite.
They were clearing more giants, spiders and other creatures from the area when Sir Jerand arrived.
The three set about having a small discussion while Artum exchanged the Shield of the Triad he had captured from the giant leader a few days ago to Sir Jerand for badly need coin for the continued operation to rebuild the town. Bogar excused himself and began to work. Sir Jerand and Artum retired to the cave where Artum discussed the various plan for defenses and such with him.
Sir Jerand agreed with most of the plan, with some minor changes here or there and promised to visit the people of Guldorand often for medical care and to try to find a doctor that would set up in the town for them. He agreed that it seemed the knights were stretched thin with so many disasters and that it appeared Banites were hunting them now.
Artum asked him pointedly about what Captain Neveah mentioned about there being a war if Cordor occupied this land and he would only say he had hear it mentioned in passing from the highest levels of the Knight but, that he was not privy to such things being just a senior squire.
This troubled Artum greatly for, the people here had already suffered so much. Being caught in a war between the nation states of the island might prove to be the final blow that broke their spirit.
He accompanied Sir Jerand to Bendir Dale and watched as he tended the people and let them know he would be back tomorrow for a proper check up for all would would want it. He then headed to the healers temple to get medical supplies, letting Artum know his plans and trying to ease his worries.
Artum smiled and nodded but, in his heart, he still held many worries and fears. He left a note with Cindie for Mayor Beestinger and then headed back to Cordor to round up more workers and tradesmen and get them up to Guldorand so the rebuilding could begin in earnest.
First thing was getting a palisade and guards posted near where the cart used to be and at the bridge, which would need to be expanded and a gate put on it.

*Yaston visits Guldorand the people and examines the ruined buildings with his engineer perspective, would tell a few comment to his knights about how it should be rebuilt. He looks at the Cordorian folks then decides to visit the site of the former banite keep.*
I wonder where was the Commonwealth when the village was occupied by Red Wizards, Horsemen and later by banites....twice. Surely this is your only way to save yourself from bankruptcy? Occupying a broken and destroyed village to dominate the lumber trade all around the island?

Artum you mistake the meaning. Had the attack been solely directed at me I might agree. But as I stated they could have attacked me and spared the people.
There were undead as I have reported. I am of the opinion that whether it had been a Triadic, a Bendri Militia, A Cordor Guard or War knight the attack would still have occurred.
Therefore rather than lessening Guldorand's defences it needs be strengthened.
As for the gold I have on your advice already requested that it be transfered and the Mayor has yet to answer regarding that request.
Let us work together to defend this place rather than lessen its defences by refusing the food, supplies and other aid given along with the continuing pledges of aid.

Some time after the initial attack, a short, meagre figure arrived in Guldorand on foot. Carrying a large pack on his back, he walked with a hunch, hood drawn to protect from the harsh weather. Though he could be heard vehemently cursing the 'unnatural' mountain paths he'd trudged up on approach, he'd cheerfully greet anyone he passed in a common tongue tainted with a thick foreign accent. As he reached the center of the devastation, he lowered his hood to reveal the hideous duergar beneath, Bogar Deepbowel. Though he was bald, a white, wispy beard protruded from his pointy chin, contrasting sharply with his grey, mottled skin. Should any of the residents appear nervous at his appearance, he'd leer at them to provoke some reaction before laughing haughtily, slapping his thigh. Before they were able to lynch him, however, he'd assure the residents that he was here to help rebuild, and that the architecture of his kin could "turn a hellball aside like the thick hide o' me arse could turn aside a good spankin'!"
Sure enough, he would soon be seen in the company of Artum as they toured the ruins, making plans for their reconstruction. Each time they stopped, Bogar would apply a variety of strange and intricately designed contraptions to help him survey the location. When the tour drew to its natural close, Bogar would head off in search of Tagnar in order to confer with him before starting any work. Tagnar was the only dwarf he seemed begrudgingly willing to talk to.

Just the gold is to be moved to a safer place then this for it is valuable and will bring more trouble to these people that already have more trouble then their share. Nor do I want the Knights to leave and in fact, I asked only that as it appeared the Order was the target of these attacks, that instead of being in the ruins where the people are, that instead, the time would be better spent doing patrols around the village instead to cull the many threats. Good Knight, it is not that I want your Order to spend less time here or help less, quite the opposite, I only wish your Order were not spread so thin in these troubling times. I simply worry for the people should the enemies come to the ruins to battle you or the gold bring more opportunistic scavengers or worse to them. Again, please forgive me for causing the misunderstanding. I do wish to ask though the same as I have Sir Jerand and Sir Yaston. Do you believe there will be war if Cordor sends their guard here?"

I wonder where was the Commonwealth when the village was occupied by Red Wizards, Horsemen and later by banites....twice. Surely this is your only way to save yourself from bankruptcy? Occupying a broken and destroyed village to dominate the lumber trade all around the island? //not sure if the comment was made in the village or when he was looking at the ruined keep so I may edit this depending. Artum will nod solemnly at the Grandmasters words and give a simple reply, "I was not here during any of those times but, as a Rashemi, I know all to well the Red Wizards of Thay. And as the Banites seem to be drawn to the Knights for obvious reasons, do you think it is wise to bring over a quarter of a million gold to these ruins? Already another attack has befallen these people and felled Sir Justin and if Sir Jerand is to be believed, there were even undead involved that time. Perhaps Cordor has been slow to respond in the past but, I have been given a task now to rebuild these people's town and Cordor is willing to station guards here to keep it protected. The good Captain and her guards and myself have come and already plan their defenses and improvements to the industry here, including having a druid help make this a sustainable lumber industry. I have gratefully accepted the Knights help, thanked the Hin for their efforts and done what I can to ease their suffering and have hired two dwarven stonemasons as well as other staff from my own meager wealth to do so though, I am promised Cordor will repay me in time. I have come not to occupy this land but to take these people and to give them not only hope but, protection. Protection that may well have stopped the occupation by the Red Wizards, The Horsemen, the Banites and mroe. Protection that would have kept these people from being cut off by giants, spiders and other creatures of these mountains for so long. You ask where was Cordorian might when these things befell these people. I can not answer that for I was not here but I ask you a simpler question. If the Knights cared so much, why did they not strengthen these people's defenses? As you say, this happened twice. Tell me why then, when the attacks came and the village was occupied and then freed the first time, why defenses were not built? Why each time after still, no defenses were build to even try to stem a repeat of their suffering? Rushing in and saving the day is all well and good but, is it not better to make it where the day does not need to be saved to begin with? Had the defenses been put into place as happened when Kohl was destroyed, do you think the Slavers would have attacked these people? Putting many of them on the auction block for drows? Do you think that this absolute destruction could not be avoided? Yet you speak of Cordor going bankrupt and still, they have sent me here, the good Captain and her Adventuring guard and are willing to increase her budget a full 50% so she can train a special elite guard unit to defend these people and restore their lumber trade while giving them protections so this never happens to them again. Perhaps you are still offended in some way from past feelings against the people of Cordor freeing themselves from their noble overlords. Those same people did go to the Holy City and find refuge and still maintain an army there do they not? I have heard several times, from several people, that should Cordor come and 'occupy' this land, there will be war. So now I ask you plainly Sir Yaston, if they do come and give these people protection of the Cordorian Guard, do you expect there will be war. I will bear your answer back to the Speaker and the Council of Cordor as you wish." Artum will simply then wait for a response with a questioning look on his face, concern very apparent. *Yaston was rather talking to his own or thinking on his own...did not say anything to Artum.*

The sorceress glides through the ruins in her robes the color of a storm-bruised sky, her alabaster skin seeming to soak up the ever-falling snow.
She kneels beside the gouged earth, and inspects the left-over traces of the magical cause. Rising, she walks the perimeters of the fallen settlement contemplating its future arcane defenses.
She stops, and turns at the sound of her name... Tempest.

Receiving a missive in the squire's barrack in Kohlingen, Senior Squire Jerand Whiterose travelled to Guldorand to meet Artum. After exchanging pleasantries outside the destroyed village the two would talk about finding a permanent doctor for the village.
"I will meet with the clergy at the Salandran Temple and Recovery Wing to see if someone can be found who would wish to make this their permenant residence," said Jerand to Artum. "I will also contact the clergy at the Temple of Holy Light to see if they might know of someone who would be interested."
"In the meantime, I offer to hold free medical clinics for the people remaining here in Guldorand and for those who are in Bendir Dale."
Notices are placed on the remains of a few walls in Guldorand that the clinic will be in the main cave around noon tomorrow (1/27/12 noon EST).
Notices also are left with the refugees in Bendir Dale of the same clinic to be held after 6 p.m. in the evening, Jerand even getting on a cart to speak to the people to annouce the clinic.
"All medical services provided are absolutely free," he says to any who inquire about the cost.

Morshkul sets up his tent and then gathers the recruits together. He equips the soldiers with fine chain mail, battle axes, large shields, and crossbows. He then gathers them together and forms the first patrol to head out for the surrounding area. He leads this particular one himself. A small female shrouded in a heavy cloak and hooded can be seen standing by his tent. As he goes to leave, they embrace. She then heads into the tent. He leads his gaurd off. The remainder of the recruits begin aiding in the rebuilding efforts or wherever they are needed.

In the process of catching up with some friends, given his time mostly spent in study and the like Tuoams was told of Guldorand and the horrors unleashed upon it. He promptly made his way up to see for himself, and was aghast at what he saw.
~ .. W.. Why? Why has Guldorand again suffered at the hands of evil? What has it done wrong? ~ he would ask, obviously dumfounded as he looked into the ruins.
After a time of looking to the ruins in shock, he used his portal wand to teleport to the Dale, looking around for someone who knew more of what happened and why, also perhaps to query what befell of it's people.
((This is happening in game right now))

//Sorry for the delay folks work had me very busy this week.
Sir Justin continues with the efforts of supplying, protecting and aiding the people rebuilding Guldorand.
"Artum, blessings to you. I believe we have been misunderstanding each other given the urgency of aiding these folk among others. I do not have the gold you speak of the Mayor Gustav does.
Though I have offered to take it back for see it taken to Bendir Dale for safe keeping. I am sure the Mayor is trust worthy and capable of making arrangements for its safe keeping. Therefore, youir concerns are best addressed to his honour the mayor.
I have ensure that such future donations are not kept here but entrusted elsewhere."
Sir Justin would once the conversation is ended go back to the Triadic Knights efforts of aiding Guldorand, Frostbite Mines and Khem.

Artum would nod and talk with Sir Justin.
"I think you are very much correct about the misunderstandings. It seems these troubled times place urgency on almost everything. I have spoken via letter to Mayor Beestinger and she has concerns about the gold being stored there for the very same reasons I have about it being stored here. She does not want to place her people in any more danger then they already are.
I will speak to Mayor Gustov about moving the gold and other valueables to Kampos Storehouse and placing it in Morgan and Sons storehouse. I do think that is the safest place that is closeby. Any further donations could be deposited there if they are of that nature.
The building materials and the rest are fine in the cave though, I will ask about putting some guards in there and around the town. If the knights would like to add some guards, I don't see any reason why we should not work together to safeguard these people and get this town back on its feet and producing the lumber badly needed on this island.
It is good to see you have recovered from the attack also. Sir Jerand said you were doing well. He visits the people that are staying in the Dale and those left here regularly and sees to their well being.
I will see what I can do about the situation here politically also. I don't want to see a war started over this when these people have suffered so much already. They are good and strong people, willing to work and simply wish to get back to doing what they do, making lumber and living their lives I am sure.
Having the Commonwealth and Kohlingen going to war over this is certainly not in the best interests of anyone. The Commonwealth, the Knights, the Holy City or especially the people of Guldorand.
Do you know of people that can aid us in rebuilding and putting down some defenses? Even palisades and some guard posts would be something. Currently even the carts have stopped running here."
Once finished, Artum will do his daily routine of moving about the people, speaking with Gustov and then heading off to the Dale to check those people and then to Cordor for paperwork and other things.
He will see to it that the people in the Dale are supplied with ample food, shelter and clothing and bring some additional things such as playing cards, books, picture books for the children, bolts of cloth and bags of wool along with sewing needles and thread so that there are things to keep them from being bored and feel productive while they wait for things to be sorted out.
(Screenshots are available if anyone wants to see them of Artum putting out a these things)

The fire genasi lingering amongst the abandoned ruins of the razed town is packing his cart again and putting the oxen before it. Maybe he have given up on this town, as many other have, or is he just seeking his fortune elsewhere. He sits at the drivers seat and slowly pulls out from what is left of Guldorand, Not even bothering to quench the campfire as he leaves. He steers towards the mountainpass and bendir.

Artum would watch him go and then go over to the campfire and clean the area including dumping dirt and snow on it and making sure the campfire is out.
He will then return to what has become an everyday routine for him.
Checking the needs of the people of Guldorand and tending them as best he can.

Artum can be seen putting up a sign with a poster on it. (letters are being sent out also) WARNING TO ALL PERSONS / NOTICE TO GUARDS OF GULDORAND Be it known that to all that the individual known as Joe Skinner, a known shifter, is hereby charged and found guilty of three counts of Assault and Attempted Murder. He willfully and without provocation did attack myself and two in my company and attempt to kill us after willingly joining us to cull the bugbear infestation in the caves. Without warning or provocation, he did assume the form of a lizardman after remaining behind as we moved forward against the bugbears and then approached, attempted to summon a Hammer of the Gods upon us, yelled that he would kill us all and attacked us. My fellows and I gave battle and drove him back. He attempted to flee and was fell shortly after and his body was revealed in death as his true form, Joe Skinner. We were to bind him and I would have raised him from death but, the body vanished as if summoned back to whatever commands him. This notice is to all remaining people of Guldorand: DO NOT ENGAGE THIS DANGEROUS FOE! Contact one of the many protectors here and have them deal with him IMMEDIATELY. To all Cordor Guards and Guldorand Logging Company Guards, Division Heads and Staff. You are hearby issued a KILL ON SIGHT order for this criminal should he be found within the lands controlled by the town of Guldorand and/or the Guldorand Logging Company including but not limited to the following areas. The portal area and/or Storage area of the cave. Guldorand proper. The mountains across the bridge. The immediate area before the bridge where the giants, spiders, hook horrors and bears hunt along the road or the bridge across the chasm leading to the town. Letters of warning are being sent to all townships that have aided Guldorand as an act of brotherhood so that they too may know this criminals threat.Be ever vigilant as those responsible for this latest of tragedies are still very much at large and seem to be still intent on bringing about pain and sadness to you! "Yousss... failss uss!"
Joe stood there, his head down his shame.
"Yousss couldn't even killss one!"
"I... tried to. I even used the powers you gave me."
Joe walked around the room, shuffling his feet. He had heard this one before, but Ka'zu was pretty angry this time. But what was he to do? They were attacking the bugbears. The bugbears had a job to do. Sure it might have been.. impulsive to go in there alone to take on three elite warriors, but Ka'zu would have made him anyways.
"Next timess.... next timess I skin you... I skin you and feed you to the worgss!"
Joe bowed in front of his mirror "Yes, my lord."

Sir Justin Fairfax, raises an eyebrow at the possibility of Kohlingen and Cordor going to war.
"Artum, I would ask that we not speak of such a possibility as the peoples of of our cities being set against each other. My personal efforts includes past support of the orphanage in Kohlingen. Though of late as you are aware other communities have need my attention.
I am wary of keeping valuables in Kempo's given reports of Banites frequenting their and of a Banite attack near that local. Yet as I say the gold we gave to Guldorand is Guldorand's to use as it sees fit though it was given for rebuilding.
As for the supplies my understanding is that Sir Robert of Caris and the good Hins of Bendir were co-ordinating the gathering of materials. Sally Grubbins-Torrowfire showed me where they are currently storing things in Bendir.
I do hope the Mayor Beestinger is not finding the burden of this effort too much and is now considering shifting it elsewhere. Bendir Dale has often been seen as a place of security with a capable militia.
Morgan & Sons is a most excellent suggestion as they have representatives in each major community and their own security for tranferring precious goods.
As a reminder Lord Cory Shadowflame has offered to assist with his skills and resources in the rebuilding as he is able. Also I have requested Lady Nicha Hetfield to be active in arranging knights for Guldorand's protection and Squire Sarov to work with Bendir in supplying building materials.
Senior Squire Jerand and I will continue our efforts to supply food and various supplies as needed within our over all efforts for Guldorand and Khem.
I am sure we can add some of our knights to the efforts of protecting the the good folk of Guldorand in their rebuilding. I will speak to the Grandmaster Lord Yaston about increasing our efforts in that regard.
Last I ask for your support of my proposal to build a modest aqueduct to help collect the abundance of mountain water runoff to aid the folk of Khem so that barrels of water might be filled in Guldorand and transported through the portal to Guldorand.
Such might even become a future source of trade to aid in the rebuilding of Guldorand. I have offered to raise the funds to pay for the project. In return I seek only the commitment that water would be supplied without charge to Khem until the poluted waters from the volcanic disaster are cleaned. Once the Khem desert waters are cleaned charge as is fitting in the market place.
So what say you?"
Sir Justin waits for an answer as he watches the water supply that has travelled with him get moved to the cave and the portal.

Since the refugees has all taken residence in the northern part of the Dale, the deliveries of good from the Dale has stopped completely. Since Gustav still spends a lot of time in Guldorand, if there are any deliveries, it seems to be a personal delivery for Gustav. If one was to investigate, it is clear that the Dale has not stopped taking donations, as the supplies are continued to be gathered at the Hinn Inn. Perishables, such as food, are used daily to feed the people of Guldorand, while clothes and blankets are dispersed amongst the refugees as they come. Other donated goods such as soap and other daily items are also delivered to the refugees in their camps in north of the Dale.

Artum will nod and say, "I think it would do the people of Guldorand good to provide aid to others even in their own time of need. Often, being able to help others lessens your own burdens. I have a stonemason looking into hollowing out the mountain where the stream comes out and putting a wheel on the sawmill to help increase the lumber production anyway, I don't see why we can't collect the water for the people of Khem to ease their burdens. We do need to get a guard formed and defenses raised though. I think a unit of knights, Cordorian Guards and the Company Guards along with at least palisades would be a beginning. We can raise the stone walls and get the central keep, sawmill and housing up quickly I think, just a few days. It would put the people back to work along with the people that have come from Cordor and then we can bring the refugees home so they are no longer a burden on the Dale. Mayor Beestinger has said we can't move the valuables to Morgan and Son's there and so, Kampos being the next closest place, we can move it there is my thinking. She said that the danger of the gold is too much risk for the people of the Dale so you can imaging the risk we take with it being in a defenseless town. I am sure Morgan and Sons can secure it elsewhere then Kampos. Once we get a proper guard and defense, maybe we can keep the valuables along with all these rebuilding supplies stored in the cave here. We need to start putting them to use. So many have brought so much that we may well run out of room to walk the barrels of water to the portal to Ne'sek! (laughs). And I do hope you are right about the war. I believe that there is a way to keep all concerned at least satisfied if not happy. I will see what I can do about it."

Artum is seen moving about the growing people of Guldorand as more and more workers come from Cordor and other places on the island to help rebuild the shattered town. The people that remained behind are told that soon, their friends will be coming back from the Dale and the mountain of building materials and other foodstuffs will be put to good use making their town better then when it was destroyed. He will remind them all that they owe a great debt to the Hins of the Dale for taking in their families, the Knights for helping and protecting them in their time of need and Cordor for taking them under their protection.
Then he will begin telling them how they can help others that have suffered their own disaster by collecting water for those in Khem and helping move it to the portal. This can be something they can do while the final things are completed to start rebuilding their town.
On the morrow (Monday) he will begin organizing work crews and directed Tagnar and Bogar, the stonemasons, to begin building the stone walls needed for defense and the central keep plus the sawmill with the water wheel to help make lumber. Morshkul is directed to post the new Guldorand Logging Company guards where they can protect the workers best and control people coming and going and to co-ordinate with the Knights to keep the town safe including the water being moved to the portal to Ne'sek.
He will then get Tempest and Ghalen to each begin their duties tending to anything magical or druidic that would help the process, asking Ghalen if there is something he can do such as having the plants grow into the stones and mortar to further strengthen and speed the building process while giving Methusala a fair sized sucking pig from the stores.
Finally he will get with Captain Neveah and get the status on the elite guard unit's progress and ask that if they are not ready, she transfer a unit of guards to Guldorand to aid in the protection of the town and a second unit to act as escorts for the workers continuing to steam into the town and the lumber soon to flow out.
He will also mention to Sir Justin that Kohlingen will need to provide their own escorts for any lumber orders they make to the town.
He is seen carrying several books marked:
Guldorand Rebuilding Ledger Guldorand Logging Company Ledger Forestry, Lumber and you.

He will then begin sending humanitarian supplies to the people that have remained in Guldorand, not willing to leave once he realizes the shipments no longer come from the Dale to them.

The Sorceress with the lightning tatoos around her upper arm stepped out of the portal node in Guldorand for the second time that day. She carried a full pack on her back, as best she could. She stopped before the Mayor and showed him its contents.
Her voice floated through the air toward the man as she cooed, "The food staples are on the bottom, and the lighter medical supplies, bandages, and ointments, are on the top." As she sat the bag on the ground, before she turned around, she noticed the Mayor's cheeks had gone a deep red. Her lips curled up in a sultry smile as she began her customary perimeter check for weaknessess that could be strenthened with her arcane talents.

The diminutive elf woman arrives at the devastated town with her towering betrothed Morshkul via portal, one of the few things, her impression immediately forms, that is functioning here at all. Her perceiving darkly emerald eyes trace over the scene of ruin and suffering, taking in fallen buildings, shallow water-filled craters, and those few both native and arrived making a manner of existence among them. Many more, though, clearly have left for safer shelter, perhaps one day to return, or perhaps never.
Why return at all? The question is barely formed in her mind before dismissed again as she peers upward beyond the scorched and broken remnants of what stood and grew here to the high horizon of the surrounding untouched treetops. Some, for the rewards to be gleaned from harvesting the mountain's bounty of essential lumber, will clearly seek to restore some incarnation of sustained existence here.
She sits, as her love bids her, by the fire of the makeshift home of tent, firepit, stool and fashioned cooking stands that he has set up for them, quietly watching as others arrive, and then admiring as he readily recruits them, with explanation and pay, into the guard force he is charged to assemble in conjunction with the relief effort here.
Still others soon appear - a single knight of the Triad who soon becomes several that set up their own camp, adjacent yet separate and uncommunicating in seeming parallel purpose, until one among them, a knight she does not recognize, approaches to converse with her love and gathered guard recruits. She watches and listens to this exchange a while but then returns her attention to the Triadic camp, for another there has taken place to silently look their way, his contrastingly quite familiar image evoking an array of dark thoughts and memories that she ponders while taking quiet bites from a slice of roast venison held with tip of her finger to the flat of her dagger blade.
A time's passing finds such thoughts for now dismissed, replaced by a realization as she peers down with forming ironic curl of smile at the way she employs her small well-honed weapon as a makeshift utensil. How easily, it occurs to her, unthinkingly really, she has fallen back into a certain accepting comfort with this manner of primitive living, indeed feeling an odd manner of kinship with those in need not so far away.
Feeling this, she rises and whispers to her love that she is going to have a look about then begins to wander a while about the devastated town's perimeter.
Her own life, indeed, more than twice the years of all but one gathered here ago, was not so very different ... so much taken, and so very little left, surviving instead on wit and what she could find, forage or connive.
Thus came her whisper that night within shelter of tent and blanket that found her and her betrothed again alone ...
"Love, where may I leave something for those who suffer here?"

Morshkul recruited 3 more warriors to take charge of patrolling Guldorand. An Axe wielding Sun Elf that goes by Zackeer, A Tiefling ranger named Shayne Colds, and a warrior named Goronwy Kendel. //In this shot, the patrol has just returned from clearing out the bugbears.
Letters of warning are being sent to all townships that have aided Guldorand as an act of brotherhood so that they too may know this criminals threat.
Be ever vigilant as those responsible for this latest of tragedies are still very much at large and seem to be still intent on bringing about pain and sadness to you!
Citizen Artum Tauri Commonwealth of Cordor
Artum, I wish to remind you that you may be a citizen of Cordor, you may be working with securing the property in Guldorand. You are not a Guard, nor do you have the power to issue this order to any of the Cordorian Guards, period. This is not for negotiations, nor questioning you have zero power in giving an order to Cordor Guards to issue a kill on sight order. That is all, do not do something like this again. Lieutenant Belalad Feiwallyan Cordorian Guard *A similar notice will also be found placed in the guard barracks, informing them this is not anything, but an unissued order from a common citizen*
