I've been having serious lag the past few days. Dunno if it's just on my end or if it's a server thing, but thought I'd mention it.

Transitions, convos, spell casting, weapon switching, etc...all take extremely long, so long that I sometimes wonder if they're going to happen at all, but then eventually they do.

I have had alot of people tell me this though, I have not had too bad of lag myself.

I have noticed the server is crashing a bit more then normal.

No lag here.

The only reason you might notice the server crashing is because there's a random chance a DM logging in can crash the server. On the upside, if it's crashing more than normal, then there are more DMs on than usual. :D

yeah Boss-mia has crashed afew times the past day or so, I just assumed Mosh was sleep deprived and screwed something up DM side that made it crash.

but as it crashed offen after I had collected the granite for the port that reset, it just let me go get more granite for the donation box, so WINNING!

I just recently updated the skyboxes after seeing msheeler's post about it. I wonder if that has something to do with it, cuz it must be client-side...hm.

Depends on the RAM you have and the Video Card's ability also.

Skyboxes are nice but they really need some power on both the computer RAM an the V card side.

My computer is a total piece of crap so lag is part of my Amian life at the moment. But I gotta admit I've had some REALLY bad lag off and on the past few days, like 5 minute delay. I've heard others complain about lag spikes in game as well.

I've noticed a few spikes (~30 secs) myself, which is far more than I usually get. Didn't realize others were having the same issue, so I figured it was a local ISP problem.

It's not the skyboxes. I've had the lag issues for some time now, they suck enormously especially when you want to customize your gear's appearance or even when another PC appears. The worst is when many people start to buff at the same time.

I didn't have the skybox update back then and it actually much less laggy after the update for me...

Sounds like I'm not the only one getting hit with lag spikes, so probably not my isp or comp. *shrug* Oh well, I'll just hope they go away soon, doesn't sound like there's anything I can do about it on my end.

I got hit with some really hard lag around 5am this morning. A big 5 minute burst that cleared itself up somehow.

I've been having worse lag than normal too! My lag spikes are literally always when Mosh is on doing something for his event stuff.... hahaha. I don't know if anyone else has been aware of that being a factor in theirs or not. Maybe he's just exceeding the fun-ometer of the server too far.

I've now developed about a 2 minute lag when I first log into the client. I load the initial area about 75% in a few seconds then it takes about 2 minutes to load the remaining 25%. It's rather disconcerting, tbh.

It's strange because it's only my first initial load. After that one, I load areas like normal and my DM avatar has less than 10 items on his person.

I'd say that's more related to caching than lag.

I thought that, too... but it's intermittent.
