hi there Amia! It's been forever since I have played (probably around 2 years). I hope I am posting this in the right place, as I did not see a specified tech support forum.

I am trying to log in with an existing char, but keep getting booted. Is this due to my long term absence?
Some other tech support stuff that hopefully you guys can help me with:
1. Went to create a test toon to log in with, and when I went to change skin and hair colors, he turned all silver (ie NO color palette tones on toon). Any ideas?
2.Even though I set WASD as my movement keys, my toon does not seem to respond.

Any help would be appreciated.

First issue is due to your probably having a new CDkey. Talk to a DM on a newly-made character on the same account and we can help you.

Any thoughts on the other issues?

On the weird silver thing, could be a problem with textures, try using the other textures available on the options screen.

When the toon model first appears, it has the default skin and hair colors. But as soon as I got o change either color, the toon goes all silver, no matter which colors i click on. Also, I lose the color picker palette as well (where it shows the color options): they both turn black.

That almost sounds like a lag thing. I've had the silver body parts because of that before, but a quick relog or equip/ unequip fixes it.

It could also be something to do with your graphics driver. Try playing with the graphics settings in the menu. Make sure shiney water is turned off.

I found a discussion board about this, and apparently downloading the 1.69 patch fixed almost every problem i had.
Admin: I guess you can consider this thread closed if you want.

... um, yes, being fully patched and up to date does help... I am amazed you could even log in, haha.
