I posted this IC in hopes of recruiting some peoples. Maybe OOC will give others some idea if they are interested *Sailors and Merchants mention finding these across the seas in Mulhorand in cities like Skuld, Gheldaneth, Mishtan, and Neldorild.* Quote: A Call for Exodus
A call for those of great loyalty to the pharaoh to rise above their current station and come to the prosperous township known as Djedet
This is a call for those of supreme character whom worship the eight majestic gods of our beloved pantheon. Leave the home-sands and help Djedet prosper.
This is a cry for warriors, mages, third-sons, priests and paladins in service to the proper and divine way. Slaves will be transferred with permission in service to house Osirant upon these lands instead of their current service.
A stipend will be provided to each takes up this battlecry and comes to the settlement. A place provided to make residence and a profession for those in need.
Applicants must submit their intent so that a place may be prepared. Enter upon a scroll and send to the Sehkry of Djedet’s Office your name, profession, other talents, lineage, patron deity, and your position in society.
If your application is approved for immigration you will be given the title of pilgrim and notified thus you will travel to Djedet and begin your new life.
OOC: This is a way to do recruitment for the Mulan type characters more IC'ly. These are not posted anywhere but copies can be found. Send replies in PM to my box, both IC and OOC questions can be put there about the faction.

DO IT
I was happy to see an influx of Mulan chars after I made mine and we need more! I've only met a few (my gal is a bit non-orthodox) but the interaction with the more traditional Mulhorandi has been great!
It's truly a wonderful experience and I can't help but endorse it! Plus, you get the added bonus of meeting Salema! What's not to love?

I'll post in support of this.
I missed Ahken and kept to his RP (I think at least) but the folks that run their Mulans are top notch.
Amenia's player and I are wandering back to Khem now...lol....so I can tell you, if you want great RP, come play.
I'm wondering where all the SET folks are though...given the Drow factions...I would think some SET people would be a nice addition...
*glances around and winks*

Set exists only to opose the pantheon. Characters that are made only to opose others die out. I've done it trust me
Mulhor and on amiahas plenty of enemies learn about them!

Current cast of Mulan characters range from freed slaves to noble born priests. Though there is a significant lack of Hathor, Geb and Horus-Re followers... Maybe someone will get an idea?

There aren't many Sebek or Set people either. A shame, because inner conflict is the coolest kind of conflict, rather than looking for it or having it come to you from outsider parties. As cool as the potential between Kellie and Lathandrite conflict is for the future, there's nothing like the classic enemy as well.

Na, that's 2.0 lore where they were all Werecrocs. Clerics can be normal people now too. Though it's true that they usually try to become Werecrocs.

Umm... Discussing Mulan possibilities doesn't relate enough to recruiting potential for you? Pretty sure you were doing the exact same thing earlier in the topic. No need to be so nit picky, dude.

Maybe someone will get an idea? Thakar follows Anhur but also is of the House of Geb (Earth Genasi) Official Houses of Mulhorand: - House of Horus-Re: House of Helcaliant
- House of Thoth: House of Tholaunt
- House of Osiris: House of Osriant
- House of Anhur: House of Ramathant
I don't see a house of Geb, perhaps better wording might be pays homage. Most honor a single god over all the others and will give service, though not necessarily become a devout of one or more others.
That said, Mulan society is a strictly patriarchal society, with the priests even if not holding offices in the council or other social titles can still issues orders, or suggestions usually followed, and are payed the utmost respect, this is not saying -everyone- should run out and make a Mulan Priest/ess. -Someone- has to follow and I don't think any of our current priestly characters are obnoxious enough to make a subservient character's life hell.
Slaves have a unique position in Mulan society, they are owned by the gods, cared for by the temples, rented or leased by landowners and nobles. They have limited rights; those being to be fed, sheltered, not mistreated, medical attention. They have the ability to gain, but it is not guaranteed they will; Education, marriage, collect wealth, freedom. They cannot: own land, vote, choose who for or where they work. Drawback: You have little choice it what happens to you throughout your life-span. Abuse or mistreatment of slaves is strictly prohibited and is seen as an affront to the temple with heavy fines imposed, which can include loss of property, gold, ability to 'rent' slaves in the future.
Freemen/woman "Middles class": Can gain education, collect wealth, marry freely, own land, are limited to political professions not requiring the rank of Noble or Priest and vote if paying taxes. Drawback: They are left to their own devices when it comes to their own care such as housing, feeding, clothing. Also, they are not eligible for priestly positions.
Nobles: Are thought to have some blood of their patron deity, the majority become priests to some extent, they may fill ruling political position, whether a priest or not. Most marriages are arranged, but marriages for love are permitted and Isis encourages it. Nobles may marry from their own class, or if third son or any daughter, they may choose one of the 'middle class' with substantial wealth to enhance their own standing.
There is much more to these castes/classes, these are a brief summary to help spur ideas on what possibilities there are for the characters you might consider.
Following is some brief information on the Pantheon. The Mulhorand Pantheon: (Deity, House Name, Alignment, M/F, dogma) Anhur: House of Ramathant Chaotic Good (M) Dogma: Protect Mulhorand, for she is your mother. Fall upon her enemies as you would any who had done ill to your own mother. Show bravery and valor in combat, and protect your brothers and sisters in arms. Follow the wise advice of your commander as you would that of your parents, but take no actions to serve and ill cause. If your commander asks you to do ill, refuse; your actions will be vindicated by a council of at least three of your peers. Protect the people of Mulhorand and the property of the Church of Anhur, for it is your home you defend with the fury of a lioness defending her cubs. Beware the wiles of Set, for his spies are everywhere, and his actions turn brother upon sister and parent upon child; his taint poisons the waters of the land of your heart. Defend against the fierce storms that sweep down from the North, for they are the work of crimson magic. Carry the peace and prosperity of Mulhorand westward and shepherd the people of Unther during their time of need.Geb: No Official House True Neutral (M) Dogma: Know the earth. Explore its beauties and reveal its hidden secrets, but do so in such a way as to highlight their fundamental mysteries, not merely to exploit their monetary value. Protect those who work in the earth with respect and punish those who ravish if of its treasures without regard.Become one with the earth, and you will know Geb, who abides in it. Geb will lead you to inner peace through steadfast knowledge and lend you the strength of the living rock to defend and protect in your time of need.Hathor: No House, female deity Neutral Good (F) Dogma: Help all who turn to you for aid, be they slave or free, high born or low born, for all Mulhorand's children are equal in Hathor's eyes. Provide sustenance for the hungry, healing for the hurt, health for the diseased, and protection for the endangered. Act humbly, for pride and haughty words come not from the Nurturing Mother Treat those in your care royalty, for so shall you be cared for in the peaceful garden of the Quiet One in the afterlife. Be joyful and spread happiness with your words and deeds. Dance and let your heart be light, for goodness and mercy shall be yours in this life and the next.Horus-Re: House of Helcaliant Lawful Good (M) Dogma: Goodness, honor, and order are the natural state, and that which leads to evil, treachery, and chaos is by rights unnatural and the enemy. Lead Mulhorand by example, let your deeds speak your intentions. Goodness and harmony from living within maat, rather than fighting it. Laws exist to bring prosperity to those under them. The Pharaoh and the Church of Horus-Re rule with Horus-Re's guidance and set laws as guidelines for honorable action within Mulhorand's tradition. Make no hasty changes or decisions, as their consequences are always suspect and may undermine the steadfast rule of eternity. Protect the weak and avenge all wrongs. Smite traitors with righteous vengeance.Isis: No House, female deity Neutral Good (F) Dogma: Encourage love, affection, and marriage in the citizens of Mulhorand. Sow the seeds of happiness, family, and food wherever you go and provide wise counsel to those in need. Use your Magic to benefit the people of Mulhorand and never to harm them, particularly by shaping the weather to serve the populace and creating magic items for the benefit of all. Protect the heroes of Mulhorand and those who are in love.Nephthys: No House, Female deity Chaotic Good (F) Dogma: Accumulate great volumes of wealth, but do not hold money above your devotion to the goddess. Protect the tombs and the remains of the dead, and smite those who would rob those who have gone to the afterlife or desecrate their tombs. Avenge the deaths of those Mulhorandi killed by the Red Wizards of Thay. Be faithful to your husband and encourage faithfulness in others. Protect worshipers of the goddess, and diligently root out and destroy evil, especially the actions of Set.Osiris: House of Osirant Lawful Good (M) Dogma: Goodness, honor, and order are the natural state, and that which leads to evil, treachery, and chaos is by rights unnatural and the enemy. Lead Mulhorand by example, let your deeds speak your intentions. Goodness and harmony from living within maat, rather than fighting it. Laws exist to bring prosperity to those under them. The Pharaoh and his representatives set laws as guidelines for honorable action within Mulhorand's tradition. Those guidelines must be applied with honor; when honor is lacking in their application, the fair judgment of Osiris is the law. The justice of Osiris is a lack of partiality. Be not angered without justice. Great is justice when it is even-handed; in the eyes of truth, a slave and the Pharaoh are as one.Sebek: ( Followers are not permitted inside Djedet.) No House Neutral Evil (M) Dogma: Hunt or be hunted. Kill intruders in swamps, weed out the weak, terrify human commoners and weakling into propitiating Sebek, dominate your fellows, and eventually turn the world into one vast swamp. Seek recognition for your acts in the name of the deity, for he is a powerful deity to be feared. You will be amply rewarded for choice prey, wealth, and territory when Sebek finally assumes the role in the pantheon that he deserves.Set: (Followers are not permitted inside Djedet.) No House Lawful Evil (M) Dogma: The ends justify the means, and life is a struggle to be won by the powerful and ruthless. Loyalty to one's comrades is admirable as long as it advances the cause of Set, and in the end, when Set accedes to his rightful throne, those that have served him well will be justly rewarded. Destroy the clergies of Horus-Re and Osiris, thus accelerating Set's establishment at his rightful place as god-king of Mulhorand, and spread the cult of Set throughout the world. Sacrifice both wealth and sentients to Set.Thoth: House of Tholaunt True Neutral (M) Dogma: Learn all you can and help to spread wisdom throughout the world. Research magic, protect the secrets of Thoth, and spread magic throughout Mulhorand. Explore new invention and better ways of doing things, pushing the limits of engineering, architecture, and magic item construction. Protect Mulhorand from the traitorous Red Wizards of Thay and undermine their efforts at every possible turn. Use weaponry as little as possible, for magic is your weapon. There is much more on the society and deities on the Amia Wiki lore page along with another Wiki I found specifically on Mulhorand, also on the Khem forum there is a Lore link.
A lot of information here, but perhaps it'll spark some ideas for those that are going "I...don't...know....maybe if I can think up a good character."

Perhaps...House of Geb is only meant to denote he is Earth Genasi in this case, not an official "House" of Mulan.
Perhaps I should say Lineage of Geb instead?
And thanks for the post!

Moshe would have to clarify it more, I believe, not all the Mulhorandi deities sired/bore mortal offspring, Ged is the sire of the majority of the Mulhorand Pantheon, as Nut is the mother of them all, Geb left his beloved to bring the others to free their people from the Imaskari, he waits to return to his beloved Nut.

The are four houses only.
House of Horus-Re (or House of Helcaliant) House of Thoth (or House of Tholaunt) House of Osiris (or House of Osriant) House of Anhur (or House of Ramathant)
Females don't get houses, and the others don't have houses.

One amusing goal for a cult of Set or Sebek could be have Typhon or Sebethant recognised as a house of Mulhorand, as a symbol of their "superiority" over the others. And note that just because their worship isn't allowed in Djedet doesn't mean that you have to be public about it...
EDIT: Also, fear of a god is different to venerating it. After all, a sacred crocodile and an idol of Sebek are kept in a shrine near the Khalem farmlands, likely to ward off Sebek's influence over the waters of the land.

Well Thakar would be House of Anhur (or House of Ramathant) but, also as an Earth Genasi he would pay homage to Geb and be proud of that lineage, feeling he is "plane touched"...least that would be what I am thinking right now.
I have not really done much playing with him yet...he will be at the meeting in about 90min....Amenia's druid wont be (she is RL working) and she is going to be scarce over the next few weeks or a month due to RL things. She still very much wants to enjoy the RP of the Mulans though.
Any advice on the proper way to do the worships Anhur but is a Earth Genasi is greatly appreciated.

"All of Sebek's clergy are Werecrocodiles". Page 125.
...But yeah, I'd definitely bend that for Amia. Cool angle. If I were to go Mulan (Which I'm not, but I considered once upon a time), it would be a priest of Sebek. Pretend to be a priest of Thoth and spread knowledge (ahem) of Sebek by constantly telling people to watch out for him. Get everyone bricking it, call in a few divine favours to summon Crocodiles (or release the holy croc) to eat some farmers...Fun! Someone steal that idea.
...Do a nice job, there are plenty of reptillian skins that could fit a Werecrocodile motif...
