I wasn't sure where exactly to put this, but this is my first post, so I'll just blame my n00bskillz if it's wrong.
Anyway, I've tried logging into Amia (And a few other servers to the same result) only to have the log-in process stall on "Server found. Attempting to log in." part. It'll stay like that for as long as I leave it (record so far is 10 minutes). I've tried making another new account, only to get the same result. I'm on Windows 7, a not so great laptop, albeit one that's never had a problem running the game before a few months back.
Help?

Not just A, sadly.
So far 7 out of 7 randomly selected servers stall on the "Attempting to log in" bit.
I'm away for this weekend, and don't have the discs on me. When I get baqck I'm returning to an internet-less home which will remain unenlightened for at least another 4 days. I'm impatient by nature, *ehem*, anyway, it basically means I can't re-install it.

When I try to Direct Connect, (I assume there's no password?) it'll come up with;
Attempting to find server. (Ten seconds later...) Connection to the server has failed. Server is not responding (timed out).

If you have the problem with logging into other servers too... you sure you don't have the default Windows 7 Firewall running which blocks the connection?

Firewall has been set to allow every Nwn related program, and I even tried logging in with it all off completely. I've tried using X-fire. All to no success. The game's updated to 1.69 as well.

Check your router ports and possible router firewall. My belkin router has a firewall I have to turn off for gaming. Also check some virus/etc protection programs such as avast that can also have a firewall. Obviously something is preventing you from connecting to either Gamespy servers or something.

Hate to bump an old post, but I'm back at this nwn-online-less place until after Christmas, so wouldn't mind getting fixed over the next 8 days.
I've done all the suggestions given, but to no avail. It says it's connected to Gamespy, and it brings up all the game rooms and all the servers so I don't think Gamespy's the problem.
When I go onto server details it says "waiting..." for most fields (like the description) forever.

Okay, I've given up. I've been trawling the internet and it seems that my modem (DGN1000) has had issue's with Nwn 1 and 2, none of which on any forum posts has been resolved. Might end up getting a new router, but otherwise, I'll be back in 8-9 days.
